Calling smoky mountain pet resort they were so friendly and informative. We ran into some issues coming down with the weather and the bad drivers. Calling the facility they were very understanding and helped us out. The outside of the facility was deceiving since it looked like a warehouse. inside was super clean and welcoming. This is a family owned and run operation. There are several generations running this kennel. Their love of dogs is very clear. Our dog enjoyed his stay and was pooped out on the way home which is always an indication for him that he enjoyed his time.

I came back to find she had lost 10 pounds in the month there. She had developed huge blisters on her front leg joints from trying to crawl around on the concrete floor. (We had left elderly dog bedding for her) We had authorized them to contact Cohutta Animal Clinic at our expense for any issues. She was in terrible painful condition when we picked her up. I continue to suffer myself, because she was allowed to suffer there.

She spends so much time with the animals and even sits outside with them while they are having outdoor playtime. We have never been apart, and they have never stayed away from home. But I had a business trip that was going to require us to travel, and we didn't have anyone that could take care of them. I had expressed this to a few people and they said, "Do you not know about Moon Doggies?" Long story short, we know now!!!! Thank goodness!!! What a game changer!!! After meeting Kelly and touring Moon Doggies, we were at least confident to give it a try and move forward with our plan. We dropped the girls off Friday. And picked them up today, Monday. Throughout their visit with her, we received photos and updates that reassured us that all was going very well! But when we saw our pups today and they were happy and content, it through us over the Moon!!! Total game changer - we feel like we have a new member of our team, and that maybe we can start to travel a bit now without the ultimate hard stop because we don't have a great place for our babies.
