I have three dogs that would need to be overnighted for 6days. A catahoula, Yorkie and a multese. Inquiring the price?

Used to like their boarding facility until my dog got sick from all the unvaccinated rescue dogs…read morethey used to house in the same area. Then they shut their boarding down to make more money elsewhere. Thankfully my dog has not been sick often, however a couple of times she needed anal glands expressed and an X-ray. They refused to do either procedure without sedation. (!!!) My dog does not tolerate sedation well and was a zombie for 24 hours after their last sedation. Sedation should not be used for quick, simple procedures. I was a vet tech many years ago and I know you can either hold the dog or muzzle them for the things that take less than 2 minutes. Prices are way out of site and the last vet I saw just wanted to keep uncharging me for unnecessary tests that I refused. When I called to have her checked they said to bring her in and then upcharged me for an emergency visit. I questioned them about why since I called and requested a visit and they said I didn't have an appointment. Unbelievable. Won't be back.

I called veterinarian office (unable to locate license number on state registry - not sure if licensed). The receptionist answering the phone had trouble hearing or understanding my name, my animal's name and insisted I leave a message with her as no doctors were available. My message contained the following information: - We have previously had 3 dogs put to sleep with them. We understand that with some dogs we waited too long, and there is no knowing when we didn't wait long enough. I was concerned I was currently leaving my dog in pain and I told the receptionist, "I don't know what to do. I need more information." - One of our dogs, a 15 year old, had had a lot of issues in the past for which we came to see them. They did not run any serious diagnostics as we were told this would require scheduling ahead of time (we are rural). I called upset because despite the prescription food they prescribed in the past, she was still sick. - I requested a doctor call back or an appointment be scheduled, but I specified I wanted an ultrasound or other diagnostic to be scheduled because I didn't want the doctor to just look at the dog again. I was told that I would receive a call back shortly. Two hours later I was called and told that if I'm unhappy with how they do things, I can go find another veterinarian. Their callousness and uncaring nature, the unbelievable lack of disregard not only toward the dog but to the people involved is not even my complaint. They have left me with no recourse and no veterinarian in our rural area that can see a sick senior. No animal hospital can see the dog to care for her - they are all months out. Only emergency veterinarians are available for emergency services. The receptionist that called me would not tell me which doctor told her to tell me my dogs were no longer welcome. When I (upset, obviously) was LOUDLY telling the receptionist on the phone, through tears, about how callous they were, she began to yell at me. This complaint is in regards to the fact that no amount of money, no amount of history, no amount professional quality of care was enough to keep me and my dog out of the situation we currently face: at the end of her life, with no professional care. Just because I requested a diagnostic that was apparently recorded as "customer not happy". There are so many other things that could have been done - they could have called to clarify the message, they could have called to hear any concerns, they could have done absolutely anything other than telling me I was on my own. While my message did not contain any regret about prior visits and services, I certainly regret it now. Had I placed my trust in a better individual and practice I would not find myself in this situation. Certainly some businesses adopt a "cut and run" philosophy. A veterinarian should not be one.
