Injured and in pain . I met a lady at the front desk who was extremely busy looking at the phone of a customer ( his dog ) my wife was holding the puppy and sat down . When the non work conversation was over I explained that the puppy was very much injured , I was not a return client as we do not have a vet up here . Nor did I have an appointment . I was told they only had one Dr. and couldn't help . I stood for a few moments and had to ask where I could take him .The customer who was conversing earlier had to tell me to take him further down 129 south . Started to give directions and was interrupted by the " receptionist " who then gave further directions . The customer was more help and stated as it was Veterans Day they may be closed and then go to Hiawassee. At no time was a Dr. advised of the situation . No triage . The puppy from a fall like that would have serious injures and moving him COULD cause fatal consequences. The receptionist I would think loves animals to be in this field . The Dr was NEVER Summoned .

It was exhausting for me at times. My husband thought it was too late to train an almost 7 year old dog but I thought contacting Mona and getting a free demo would not hurt. Boy,was I right! After the demo I knew what I had to do and signed up for dog training lessons. What a difference! Mona has so much knowledge about the dogs, their body language and how to correct the owner during the training process when needed, sending clear signals to the dog so it will not get confused in what is expected of it. This strengthens the bond of the owner with the dog and both are happy with each other. In my case it is really true "You can teach a dog new tricks and obedience. I rescued a lovely 6 year old male Portuguese Water Dog who had somehow gotten away from his previous owners and was found wandering around the North Georgia Mountains. I was keen to make sure that the same thing didn't happen again since my new buddy clearly had strong instincts to chase things. He also had no idea that a human was on the other end of his leash and would drag me into his chase with the squirrels too. After just 2 weeks with Mona, my dog was happier, more confident, and wonderfully obedient. And I'm happier as a result too. I am no longer being pulled to and fro and he can walk by a squirrel without going completely nuts. The progress she made with him in such a short time was nothing short of miraculous! Our dogs love it there and the staff are very attentive to the dogs. The facility is very clean and the prices are very reasonable. I suggest , if you desire bath only for you pet, that you brush them well beforehand; less matting .

0 Rating. I loved this place for years…read more But, things have gone downhill big time. I left my baby girl there while traveling, and checked on her weekly. The owner told me she was doing great! I came back to find she had lost 10 pounds in the month there. She had developed huge blisters on her front leg joints from trying to crawl around on the concrete floor. (We had left elderly dog bedding for her) We had authorized them to contact Cohutta Animal Clinic at our expense for any issues. She was in terrible painful condition when we picked her up. I continue to suffer myself, because she was allowed to suffer there.
