July 18, 2026 OVERVIEW: If you're making the run between Bakersfield & Sacramento on Hwy. 99, this location is a MUST STOP when in the San Joaquin area, since you're not going to find anything nicer if you're Northbound. (Meaning: You really don't want to stop ANYWHERE in Stockton.) PROS: Excellent location, right off of the highway, next to a wide choice of fast-food joints. This location is well/stocked with the usual goodies, and as you can see in the attached picture, there's an Arby's attached to the establishment as well. Many fuel pumps mean you really don't need to wait to fill up. Decent amount of parking spaces if you want to relax in your car for awhile. Seems to be really popular with the trucker community, since there always seems to be a fleet of trucks parked in the back. CONS: Although the actual location is great, getting back onto the highway, (headed either North or South) can be a little bit tricky if you don't know what you're doing. Great place to fuel up if your in the area. Near the highway exit and very low fuel prices. This is a truck stop - that is what you are to expect. If you want sense and sensitivity you might not find it here. Fill up your vehicle with fuel and move on. This is not a resort or day spa. Some people expect the later I suppose. Fuel prices were very very low. Probably the lowest I've ever had in the recent past. Pumps were quick and receipt printed at the pump. Squeegees had super long handles. I mean really really long. Poke an eye out long. Those are for big rigs. That is how you can tell it is a truck stop. This is built for truckers. Don't come here for a day spa experience. Eat, fuel up and move on. read more

Easy to access off the 99 between Stockton and Modesto, they serve a lot of trucks here. That makes the entrance and the roadways wide and open. Just be on the lookout for trucks! Inside, there are restrooms, snacks and drinks and plenty of things for the road. It was very nice to stop in this early to find this Love's with a clean restroom, stocked coffee bar and surprisingly busy gas pumps. Though if enough people are aware that you get 10 cents off per gallon with the Love's app, that would make sense. Saturday august 12th 730 am a unprofessional frustrated little kid named mark was working the fuel desk with a bad attitude ( looked miserable like he hates being there) I Came to the fuel desk paid for fuel paid & went back out to pump. Didn't work. Came back inside to see why it's not working. Mark kept saying he'll fix it But didn't and proceeded to help other customers instead So I go back outside wait Another 5 minutes pump still not working. I go back inside again for the 3rd time. and tell him it's not working. He looks at me like I'm stupid or something then proceeded to help other customers and told me they need to fix it still & they'll fix it soon. goes back to ringing up customers buying snacks. Instead of fixing my pump so I can fuel and get back on the road (these customers walked in way after I paid for my fuel) so I'm pretty sure he should fix my issue first before trying to help other customers I told him I need to fuel up and get tf out of there I'm running late. mark then told me "THEN GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE" Instead of trying to fix my pump. He kicks me out of the store. I asked to speak to a manager, mark confidently said my manager will tell you the same thing like there some gang of bullies. I pleaded with mark to just turn my pump on so I can fuel and get out of there but he told me NO. Get the fuck out of here So I left but came back in to get something to drink and talk to the manager Zachlin Instead of helping the situation. Manger Zachlin sided with his out of wack immature unprofessional employee mark and tells me I need to leave the store. Zachlin comes to the beverage section with 3 other employees to kick me out like there some gang of bullies Keep in mind My card has already been charged now I can't get fuel until the charge is removed that'll take a couple days Soon after I left at 8:08 mark tried to ring my card up again for another charge of 400$. Loves never disappoints. Everything from lowest prices on gas, ( right now even a few cents matters!) To really tasty deli food inside, Loves has everything you need for a road trip. I was on my way to Manteca and this was a great stop. Right off the highway and easy access. As of today gas was .10 less a gallon than the competition. read more

I've come to this loves gas station four different times just to use the $.10 off a gallon, and this place never gives you the $.10 off a gallon. They just laugh about it and just dismiss it like as if it's no big deal. So I would not recommend anybody coming to this gas station you want that $.10 off a gallon of further down 99 you'll find another loves gas station. read more

Talk about a bad experience. I went to Loves to get some ice. While inside the store, I decided to get my a fountain drink. This took me a bit to get since the short haired female employee was restocking the cups. Let's just say she was taking her sweet time. She finally realized I was waiting so she stopped. As I get my cup and tried to get ice, there was no ice. Are you kidding me? She tells me to go to Arby's for the ice. Ok, I guess I can walk next door for ice. I get my drink and proceed to pay. This is where it gets bad. I tell the short haired girl I need a bag of ice. She tells me they don't have any ice. It is Monday morning. People are heading to work. These hard working people need ice to keep their drinks cool but you have no ice. This is ridiculous. I drive away and took a sip of my soda. GROSS! This soda was flat. I spent $1.81 for a crappy soda. I ended up tossing the soda in the trash. This was a bad experience at loves. read more

I always get gas here before my morning commute! The downside is that the pay at the pump feature doesn't always work depending on if you have a chipped card. This is one of the smallest Loves travel stops that I've ever been inside. Usually loves travel stops are huge with a lot of amenities like showers and wide spaces for truckers to park. This location has some of the things needed for travel but it's highly condensed in comparison with their neighbor, Flying J. I really appreciate that this place is clean and that the staff are helpful but I don't like that their brand of snacks like beef jerky is priced like it's from the Bay Area. I love loves. Lol. They always have more than enough that I could ever need. The gas is cheap. The people are super friendly. I got free air for my tires. I got free water to rinse my car, lol even though I was probably not supposed to rinse my car with that hose. But it worked nicely. Well, this was my second stop here, and this time, my car was yelling at me about my reserve fuel being low. I pulled up to pump # 18--a diesel pump with no gasoline to attract *those* customers!!! (It's irritating to see someone who only uses gasoline to seek one of the few diesel pumps that also dispense gasoline, when I can't find a pump but there are several gasoline pumps available.) Slid my card through the reader--"see cashier" was displayed. I saw the cashier. She was lovely. She put $60 on the pump from my card. I returned to the pump and it didn't act as though it was ready and it didn't do anything. I pressed the Help button. "Go inside for help" was display. Grrrrr. She called Joe to look at the pump. It's a lovely pump, and it's 18. Joe went back to do something remotely. I then heard "Customer at pump 18, please replace the handle." So, I put the handle/spigot thingee back on the pump. $102.36 was displayed for a while and then, $0.00. Joe returned. He's dependable. He reset the pump completely. Thankfully, it still dispensed only diesel fuel. He waited until I started the pump and when things were fine, he left. Joe was busy that day. After filling the tank, I returned and got change back onto my card. The cashier was efficient. I hope it's better next time, just like my first time there. read more

Bathrooms are always clean whenever I drop-in here for a pit stop. Their beef jerky is so good! It's exactly the way beef jerky is suppose to taste. Beware! Your jaw will get its workout in (it's pretty tough but so worth it!). The employees are very friendly and Loves always has such a great selection of road trip snacks and drinks for all. I travel quite a bit. I have a truck and a travel trailer and use various truck stops in different areas and they're usually great... but this place was not. First thing is the truck entrance. There's a big sign that says truck/auto entrance. But they have these little sheets of paper that say "No" above Truck. And "Only" below auto. Which you can't even see until you're right up in the driveway. They have the truck are blocked off with K Rails and a sign, again on a sheet of paper, that says "No Trucks." But they don't say which way to go as an alternative. Very frustrating. Inside the store, it's well stocked and they have all the things every truck stop has. Drinks, snacks, candies, etc... There is an Arby's attached, but the dining room is closed for renovations. The drive thru is still open. But if you have a rig or an RV, you're not able to use it. Lastly, the bathrooms were terrible! The men's room was filthy and disgusting. I've always felt that Loves works pretty hard to stay away from that "dirty truck stop" stereotype. But this location falls right into it! The bathroom smelled terrible. The floors hadn't been mopped in what looked like forever. There was trash in every stall. Garbage everywhere. And strange stains (that were very old) that resembled blood! If you're driving up 99 and you need to stop. It might be worth it to check out other travel stops. I won't be coming back to this Love's anytime soon. read more

Always our stop coming back to the valley or going to the Bay Area. One of the bigger truck stops that offer a adjacent 24 hour Denny's, showers for truckers or even folks doing long drives, truck was and car wash. Gas pricing is always decently cheap so it's not bad stop and there are plenty of pumps. Clean restrooms but I would be careful sometimes late night because of the shady looking folks that hover every once in a while. But it is very well lit up. read more
