July 18, 2026…read more OVERVIEW: If you're making the run between Bakersfield & Sacramento on Hwy. 99, this location is a MUST STOP when in the San Joaquin area, since you're not going to find anything nicer if you're Northbound. (Meaning: You really don't want to stop ANYWHERE in Stockton.) PROS: Excellent location, right off of the highway, next to a wide choice of fast-food joints. This location is well/stocked with the usual goodies, and as you can see in the attached picture, there's an Arby's attached to the establishment as well. Many fuel pumps mean you really don't need to wait to fill up. Decent amount of parking spaces if you want to relax in your car for awhile. Seems to be really popular with the trucker community, since there always seems to be a fleet of trucks parked in the back. CONS: Although the actual location is great, getting back onto the highway, (headed either North or South) can be a little bit tricky if you don't know what you're doing. So make sure turn on your GPS before you leave.

I stopped in top gas up this big rental suburban we use for our field location work with my crew. Manteca mean "lard" in Spanish ... guess I thought I'd throw that in there ... like a city of lard! Anyhow, Costco Gas usually has the cheapest gas around, though there's not much cheap gas around, especially when the vehicle you're driving gets like 12-14 mpg! I like the hoses here at Costco, cause they're long and can stretch to either side of the vehicle, just watch the traffic trying to squeeze through to get out or to the unoccupied pumps, if you're on the far side filling up. I'm glad this isn't Oregon, where they have attendants that fill you vehicle. The card readers read super reliable and fast, not like some of those no name cheap places where you think your card might get skimmed on the pump or something. All gassed up and ready to go! Now it's time for lunch!

It's always stopping every 10-12 seconds of pumping. All of them do it.. Also, there is always 1-2 pumps that are always out of order and seems it takes a long time until their fixed. The problem with that is now I cannot purchase diapers.I cannot purchase wipes for my infant children. And I cannot purchase food or fuel for my family.Or my vehicle to continue working. There are tons of gas pumps, a fairly large convenience store, and large bathrooms that were surprisingly clean. Actually, the bathrooms were noticeably cleaner than some of the store and common areas. It's definitely a true truck stop, with plenty of dedicated truck pumps, showers, and other amenities geared toward long haul drivers. But it also works really well as a road trip stop for everyone else. Gas prices were reasonable for the area, fueling up was easy, and there were plenty of snacks and drinks to choose from inside.
