This was one of the nicer stops on our journey to NorCal. The lady who was working here that evening was super nice, and went out of her way to ensure we were taken care of. We stopped by for a restroom break. The restrooms were clean, as was the rest of the store. We were pleasantly surprised to find that this Chevron had a frozen yogurt dispenser. We were not in the mood for some yogurt, although the worker graciously offered us to try it. We bought some bottles of water, and headed out the door. We stopped in to re-fuel and to clean the whole front end of our car which was COVERED with various winged creatures who unfortunately got in front of us during our commute. You got your choice of various fast food choices, from Jack in the Crack, to Subway, and KFC...Luckily, we had Happy Jack's back in Bakersfield... Gone were the $3.55/gal. Vegas prices and it was $4.09/gal. Cali prices. Filled our tank, picked up a few snacky snacks, and were on our way....ALOHA!!! read more

Wow, self serve froyo is so ubiquitous that it's cropping up at gas stations! Food: I came here to fuel up before returning to I-5 and needed a snack. What I found in the station store far exceeded my expectations. This Chevron has better froyo infrastructure than most standalones! I sampled the plain tart and one of the berry flavors. Aside from some slight iciness, it wasn't half bad. They even thought to buy stylish polka dot cups (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/chevron-patterson-2#DVzj1wULe6_RpYGPKov4HQ). Unfortunately, the toppings could have been a bit more fresh. My guess is that they don't get enough traffic in here to refill the toppings all that frequently. Atmosphere: They really went all out with the froyo theme. The area around the machines sports cheerful blue tiling and they even purchased mats decorated with a 'Yogurt Spot' logo. I think the Yogurt Spot might be another business in the area that teamed up with this Chevron, but I could be wrong. Service: Self-serve yogurt and gas. I'm seeing a theme here. Synopsis: Splendid, especially for gas station yogurt. I'd take that over a gas station hot dog any day. read more

As I type, these price gouges are charging 76 cents more per gallon than Flying J for unleaded and 84 cents more per gallon than Arco. Was never so happy than to see their little monopoly with the 76 station across the street broken up when the truck stop went in. Before that, these guys got away with ripping off I-5 travelers for years on gas. read more

If you're making the dreaded SoCal to NorCal drive or vice versa, this is a very clean and well lit spot to fill up on gas, food or coffee. I'd feel really safe taking care of business even if I were driving alone. At this Chevron, expect to find lots of pumps to choose from. Even during the busy travel dates, I've not had to wait for one. Nearby, there are lots of places to eat; Jack in the Box, Subway, KFC Carl's Jr, and even Denny's. This is well past the half way point for our San Diego to Bay Area drive but this is one of two spots that we choose to stop at because it's well lit and we can kill many birds with one stone. We usually gas up and grab a coffee and then we're on the road again within 10-15 minutes. Gotta love efficiency.... read more

The greatest thing about this station is its by Carl's Jr. It's across the street from Jack in the crack but when Carl is near, who cares. Man, I was tried and dazed on a hot afternoon, and the motorcycle needed fuel yet again on a long trip, and I needed coffee even though it was 107 degrees all along the Mad-Max roadscape that is I-5. Clerk Murline (sp?) was very friendly and helpful. She stopped mopping the floors to make up a fresh pot for me, and she even checked in to make sure I was okay while I rested outside at a table. She was all like, "who needs coffee in this heat? Are you okay???" Clerk Raquel (sp?) was equally as nice at the cashier. So pleasant, both. There are some friendly workers at this well-visited but clean gas station on a hot-as-heck freeway exit. read more

Great pitstop for long hauls between Norcal and Socal on the I-5. Good prices, numerous pumps and ample lighting which is always a huge plus when having to refuel at night. Plenty of fast food joints nearby too if you're hypoglycemic to the point where you have to settle for just about anything to fill your stomach. read more

Cashier inside the quick mart was very helpful in assessing the problem at our pump (nozzle had stopped pumping and the trigger didn't work). Station itself is very brightly lit and felt safe. There are also a variety of eateries (Denny's, A&W, etc) nearby which really makes it a one stop shop resting spot on the I-5. read more

This is the perfect stop when travelling North on the I-5 on long hauls! This gas station has clean restrooms, and the gas prices were more akin to an am/pm than to a Chevron station. Inside the minimart was The Yogurt Place, a self serve frozen yogurt place that was much more humble than a Yogurtland but looked pretty good nonetheless. This freeway exit also has a Jack in the Box, KFC, Subway, Carl's Jr., A&W, and a Denny's, so you can refuel your car and yourselves all in one convenient stop. On this occasion, I was travelling with two small dogs and a 10 week old puppy prone to motion sickness, so my favorite part was the small grassy area between Carl's Jr. and the Chevron. The dogs got to run around and get their wiggles out while I sat in the grass and just enjoyed the sunshine. I'll definitely be making a stop here on more of my Bakersfield to San Francisco road trips! read more

This gas station has the worst customer service I have ever seen. My keys were locked in my car and my phone was dying so the employee let me charge my phone. The manager came out and started screaming for me to get out of the store and off the property and threatened to call the police. He refused to let us complete our request for a tow truck and we had to wait outside in the freezing cold. Do not use this gas station!! I filled up my tank and purchased food and items while I was waiting but couldn't get any common courtesy or even a word in to explain. I used the drive thru car wash and was happy with turn out of my car. Only $6 for the basic. The blow dryer at end of wash is timeless and you can take your time at the end. Employee behind counter was very nice and helpful. Great customer service. This location has a subway too. Clean restrooms. As for as gas goes 76 has always been number 1 to me. read more

Manager sunny and worker Manjit were horrible to and elderly lady trying to pay for her gas and after I asked y they had to be so rude to her they told me to get out that they were going to call the cops lol I hope they get fired!!! read more
