By far the worst experience I've ever experienced from any convenience store so far. The so-called very untrained manager did not know how to process a transaction using a relay app that us drivers use and he was unwilling to get on the phone with their own pilot help desk get the necessary instructions and have the transaction process. After a few hours I figured his shift was over and maybe I can speak with a different manager on duty which there was a lady named Heather who claimed to be the manager and her herself actually did call the help desk but because the help desk said that the weight would be longer than usual due to high call volumes she said she could not wait around for them to pick up so then I asked if it did not matter to her that I was a customer and needed his transaction to be completed she pretty much told me there was nothing she could do because she was not going to wait around that she had a whole store that she had to manage so I told her okay I guess I have no other option then to call corporate her reply was do you have their number because I don't and I responded with I'm pretty sure it won't take me too long to find it online and she said okay do what you have to do in the meantime I stepped outside and went about to make that phone call while she was inside she spent the whole time on the phone looking out the window as to what I was doing probably calling Ruben to inform him that I again had returned to ask her to help me out and probably that I threatened to call corporate the time that she spent looking at what I was doing she could have really been on hold with the pilot help desk to make the transaction go through but she was more worried about taking care of her store which she did not leave the desk after I left the desk to do what she said she had to do ultimately corporate told me they cannot force them to do anything but they were just put it down in the books and make sure that they received proper training for those transactions in the future. I believe they need more training in overall customer service and learning how to keep learning and not believe that they already know everything and there is nothing a customer can show them that they don't already know very disappointed in both managers because they are just passing that on to their employees who will probably follow their procedures on handling situations like this. I purchased truck chains at a store in Boise, Idaho and was told they were returnable if that were not used. They were not used but when I went to return them was told that the that company policy is that chains are not returnable. They refuse to acknowledge a training issue on their employees part and make an exception. They stonewall very attempt to find someone who will do something. They accept no responsibility for anything. Bad policy, bad customer service, just plain bad. Use anyplace else. read more

I love this flying j. They have a dunkin express and great food options. We even tried a whole supreme pizza it was $14 and was great! The coffee variety is soo good especially with the dunkin syrups to mix in. They also have the regular food variety of hot dogs and such. Good prices, it's been clean every time I've been here. Breakfast options are minimal but overall good experience. They have a game room, massage chairs and even a Denny's. read more

No matter how empty the parking lot, you'll still have to wait at least 15 min for one of the 12+ showers. They need to hire more workers or light a fire under the one they have. read more

Bought a Argo Tea and it was fermented. BEWARE! I attempted to call and let the staff know but who ever is in charge is on lunch. Thanks for the horrible service guys!! I finally get a chance to take a shower and when l do the shower is not only open but piss all over a very loose toilet seat!! So l ask to be reasigned a shower. Janitor had to go through the showes to until he finally found one clean?? Mind u 2am!! Then l go into Dennys to eat breakfast , next thing l know the shift manager came by with janitor in front of the Dennys and start talking badly about me very loudly!! This is a great rest stop. There's plenty of parking for cars, trucks and trailers. The inside has a large Denny's restaurant, a subway, a Cinnabon, a pizza station and a hot food station. If you need parts for your car or other travel supplies there is a section of the convenience store dedicated to that. It offers a wide variety of items. They have a lot in stock in the convenience store as far as food, snacks, drinks and all of your road trip needs goes. The bathrooms are very clean and not run down like many of the rest stops up and down I-5. The only complaint I and many others had when I was there was that the air conditioner was on full blast in Denny's. It's controlled by the convenience store though. It was unbearably cold which was apparent by all of the complaints being made, even by waitresses! read more

After he fueled up and did a quick vehicle inspection, he hammered down heading east towards the Nevada desert and the power went out for an hour. I like flying J because I travel from Ca. to Ia. Stop at all the flying J's because they are conveinent. They have everything I need at the time. I like to listen to audio books to help pass the time and they have a very good selection. I can take the time to sit down and eat or grab something out of the case, either hot or cold along with a cup of coffee. Then fill up with gas at usually 5 cents a gallon cheaper than anywhere else because i'm a member of flying J club. Now cheaper gas is always nice when traveling a long distance. Some of the restaurants they have do require a little cleaning up and the food in all ot them isn't always good, but, for the most part it's ok. I will continue to use them when travelling because they have what I need. read more

If you can count your teef on one hand, if you like your waitress smelling like uncle Jeb's ashtray he keeps in his arm pit; I you are a fan of egg flavored product for breakfast, than Flying J's Travel Plaza is for you. I felt like I was eating at a table in the middle of a Dollar Tree (the Central Valley has plenty 99 cent stores) on a busy day in the Midwest. It's not that often I will leave 5 stars for a truck stop, and I'm a truck driver so I stop at many of these places. Management and staff are wonderful here. Did reserved parking, paid for it the day prior. No issues getting my receipt or anything. This location with there reserved parking they assign you a spot, I was given space #1. An employee went out before i pulled up to space o move the sign I guess, ended up having to move a driver, which I hate, told them I'll go a few spots down. But they said spot is already assigned to me I guess there a little strict on parking assignment for reserved....driver was fine, no issues. Chatted with him a bit after parking. Later on I went inside to dine at Dennys, no issues there. Food was fine, service was great. Showered, had shower #2, very strong water pressure. Shower was clean. I was actually surprised I had such a positive experience at this Flying J, I figured it would have had more negatives, based on the ones I stopped at on my trip from Alabama. This is probably one of the best rest-stops or gas station/food mart that I've ever seen (so far). It's very truck driver-friendly with its $3 shower rooms and mini-arcade and very convenient and entertaining for a lot of weary travelers. They have cute souvenirs, greeting cards, gadgets (like magnet earings), cool gift items and crafts, magazines, food, and a lot more that you can check out while filling up your tank or to walk off that food that you just ate from the restaurant at the back of the food mart. I started using their gas since it was the cheapest around where I live. I now stop here on my trips when driving.

The cashier on the diesel side is very nice and pretty, she works in the mornings, she helps you out alot, her name is jazmin

We used their fax machine on Friday, the 27th of Jan., 2011 to send a fax to another company and just found out this morning it didn't go thru. Now they don't want to reimbursed us or resend the fax off of their memory of the machine and we are in Dallas, Tx. now. Even if we go back there which we will in a couple of weeks, with the receipt they said they will refuse to give us our money back. This really SUCKS. We have the confirmation w/us and yet they do this toward their customers. I am really disappointed with this station as we spend a lot of money here and this is the weay they treat their customers.
