I stopped in top gas up this big rental suburban we use for our field location work with my crew. Manteca mean "lard" in Spanish ... guess I thought I'd throw that in there ... like a city of lard! Anyhow, Costco Gas usually has the cheapest gas around, though there's not much cheap gas around, especially when the vehicle you're driving gets like 12-14 mpg! I like the hoses here at Costco, cause they're long and can stretch to either side of the vehicle, just watch the traffic trying to squeeze through to get out or to the unoccupied pumps, if you're on the far side filling up. I'm glad this isn't Oregon, where they have attendants that fill you vehicle. The card readers read super reliable and fast, not like some of those no name cheap places where you think your card might get skimmed on the pump or something. All gassed up and ready to go! Now it's time for lunch!

Instead of accusing people maybe you should go clean the women's restroom! it was absolutely disgusting, filthy, and the soap dispenser was empty. I will never come here again!

There are 16 pumps and regular and diesel fuel. There are also 16 pull-thru truck tractor pumps. Plenty of room for truck tractors and trucks pulling trailers. The store has most of the things you would find at a truck stop from bathrooms, food, drinks and some fluids you might need for your vehicle.

Now they have a Denny's right next door, so you can also grab a bite to eat. By the way, they have showers. I've never taken one here, but that's pretty convenient, especially for truck drivers. The staff are friendly. The convenient store has every type of snack and drink you need on your road trip if you desire something other than a cup of coffee.

Their Google listing shows they open at 7:45am, so I arrived around 8:30am on a Tuesday expecting to get a wash. There were some cones out, but nothing indicating they were closed. I cautiously pulled forward, bumping one of the cones, and the owner came out. Instead of politely explaining the situation, he was extremely rude and disrespectful. I tried asking if they were open, but he never gave me a straight answer, just shook his head and told me to back my car out. When I tried again to ask about their hours, he completely ignored me, rolled his eyes, and continued talking loudly on speaker phone in another language. I wasn't even upset about the cone -- accidents happen -- what upset me was being treated with such poor customer service, especially by the owner himself. This is not how a business in Ripon should operate. They advertise hours they don't honor, and they treat paying members with zero respect. Do not waste your money on a membership here. Terrible service, rude management, and unreliable hours.

The wish itself if pretty good, but the drying is not as good as several of the other wishes. The vacuums work good. The only bummer is that the sun screens over the vacuums are not very big so you are in the sub for most of that time. It's not that big of a deal, but on 100+ days it is super hot (nothing Reefs can do about that). My other wash in Manteca (which got bought by the duck) has great vacuums, compressed air and shade for comparison. Overall they are the best in Ripon.

Because of the delay, without even asking, I was given a gift card for several free washes as an apology. I decided to take them up on it and I've continued to go back ever since. It's also nice to support local when another carwash in the area owned by a national corporation feels the need to hire 10+ people to wave signs all around the area. Located in Crossroads West on the corner of Claribel Rd. & Machado Pkwy., even though the address is on Claribel Rd., enter on Machado Pkwy. based on the gas station's traffic flow. There's monitors that signal when pump is vacant to keep the traffic flow chugging along that the attendants really don't need to be there unless there's other needs that may require their service. People cannot drive here or obey common sense/courtesy of taking turns to exit (seems like this issue is at every Costco); we almost got into a fender bender. Yikes! Or maybe it's just the holidays & people are in a hurry... IDK. There's security measure (red tape) on their cc card reader to prevent skimming, though I'm not sure how effective that is. I've had my cc skimmed before at a regular station, so I'm not sure if the tape method works. 2025 is ending soon & prices are at $3.459/gal., better than the labels & cheaper than my local Costco (I filled up at $3.759); that's almost a 10% cost savings!
