I stopped in top gas up this big rental suburban we use for our field location work with my crew. Manteca mean "lard" in Spanish ... guess I thought I'd throw that in there ... like a city of lard! Anyhow, Costco Gas usually has the cheapest gas around, though there's not much cheap gas around, especially when the vehicle you're driving gets like 12-14 mpg! I like the hoses here at Costco, cause they're long and can stretch to either side of the vehicle, just watch the traffic trying to squeeze through to get out or to the unoccupied pumps, if you're on the far side filling up. I'm glad this isn't Oregon, where they have attendants that fill you vehicle. The card readers read super reliable and fast, not like some of those no name cheap places where you think your card might get skimmed on the pump or something. All gassed up and ready to go! Now it's time for lunch!

When I walked in the operator of the gas station immediately accused me of smoking at the pumps. I was not smoking at the pumps and said no, I was throwing away my trash. I do not smoke. She then continued to talk trash about me to the customers. How can you be so rude and throwing accusations to a customer? Instead of accusing people maybe you should go clean the women's restroom! it was absolutely disgusting, filthy, and the soap dispenser was empty. I will never come here again!

Although, a nearby chain on Yosemite Blvd keeps them on their toes on the gas prices! They used to take EBT, but they have a sign that says they do not anymore. Also, their car wash has a sign that always says "Car Wash Not Working". We come here to get gas, even though they are not the closest to us. Why?? 1. Cheapest gas in Modesto (when you pay in cash). 2. If you use a Debit card with a pin (same as cash). 3. Super friendly cashiers. Most of them even remember my name, and I know theirs! :) 4. There are tons of gas pumps, a fairly large convenience store, and large bathrooms that were surprisingly clean. Actually, the bathrooms were noticeably cleaner than some of the store and common areas. It's definitely a true truck stop, with plenty of dedicated truck pumps, showers, and other amenities geared toward long haul drivers. But it also works really well as a road trip stop for everyone else. Gas prices were reasonable for the area, fueling up was easy, and there were plenty of snacks and drinks to choose from inside. Overall, a convenient and worthwhile stop if you're on a road trip and need gas, food, or just a decent place to take a break. Four stars, almost five.

Review #936 2025-115…read more Costco finally opened up in Riverbank! We used to drive to Modesto to fill-up & shop, & am glad Costco Gasoline opened here about a year ago by my nephew's place. Located in Crossroads West on the corner of Claribel Rd. & Machado Pkwy., even though the address is on Claribel Rd., enter on Machado Pkwy. based on the gas station's traffic flow. There's monitors that signal when pump is vacant to keep the traffic flow chugging along that the attendants really don't need to be there unless there's other needs that may require their service. People cannot drive here or obey common sense/courtesy of taking turns to exit (seems like this issue is at every Costco); we almost got into a fender bender. Yikes! Or maybe it's just the holidays & people are in a hurry... IDK. There's security measure (red tape) on their cc card reader to prevent skimming, though I'm not sure how effective that is. I've had my cc skimmed before at a regular station, so I'm not sure if the tape method works. 2025 is ending soon & prices are at $3.459/gal., better than the labels & cheaper than my local Costco (I filled up at $3.759); that's almost a 10% cost savings! Will Costco Gasoline be your go-to gas station? Filler up!!

Their Google listing shows they open at 7:45am, so I arrived around 8:30am on a Tuesday expecting to get a wash. There were some cones out, but nothing indicating they were closed. I cautiously pulled forward, bumping one of the cones, and the owner came out. Instead of politely explaining the situation, he was extremely rude and disrespectful. I tried asking if they were open, but he never gave me a straight answer, just shook his head and told me to back my car out. When I tried again to ask about their hours, he completely ignored me, rolled his eyes, and continued talking loudly on speaker phone in another language. I wasn't even upset about the cone -- accidents happen -- what upset me was being treated with such poor customer service, especially by the owner himself. This is not how a business in Ripon should operate. They advertise hours they don't honor, and they treat paying members with zero respect. Do not waste your money on a membership here. Terrible service, rude management, and unreliable hours.
