I must say the workers in the Loves area was very attentive and helpful. However, the food like hot dogs etc was limited since many opt for that since the food portion of the gas station was "open" but really closed. What a waste of time. She was the only woman not rude or acting like she had a chip on her shoulder but she didn't look like she wanted to be there either. At 7 am, this place wasn't very busy and yet it took the cashier forever to remember I wanted a receipt, even after I asked for it twice. The gas pumps work, I guess? Not very clean. Gift shop definitely not worth the prices. If you don't need to stop, try to go on to the next town.

Back when I had a gas car, this was always a go-to stop. Now that I drive an EV, I was really impressed to see they've installed GM Energy dual chargers there are two of them, which makes a huge difference. It's so much more convenient than having to drive up the hill to that random charger near the hotel. I'm genuinely glad they added these. It's going to make my trips out to West Texas a lot smoother and less stressful.

While you may want good customer service, at the end of the day this is just a pit stop type town and your just one of many people that they will serve all day. There are places you can sit to eat your food. And there are plenty of hot and cold food options. Plenty of snacks and drinks, ice and much more. There is an ATM available. You can go through the regular checkout line or through one of multiple self check out lines. They're open 24/7. The oil boom in this area has caused the need for such places as pilot travel center. Several new hotels of also popped up, much more than you would expect for a town the size of Big Lake. The bathrooms are well-maintained.
