Man oh man, I don't know where to start. I got in and out okay but at seven in the morning, there were two sad little tornados (think Mexican egg rolls which are actually pretty good) on the roller, and a sad pizza on the counter beside the registers. I don't know if it's this town but passing through, the men are pretty nice. As a woman who believes in uplifting other women, I was appalled by how rude every single woman here was. They all had that look you get when your animal poops in the bed despite knowing better. It doesn't leave a good impression. The cashier looked so lost at her job. She was the only woman not rude or acting like she had a chip on her shoulder but she didn't look like she wanted to be there either. At 7 am, this place wasn't very busy and yet it took the cashier forever to remember I wanted a receipt, even after I asked for it twice. The gas pumps work, I guess? Not very clean. Gift shop definitely not worth the prices. If you don't need to stop, try to go on to the next town. read more

The two older and much more pleasant morning crew at Road Ranger redeemed the four rude self-centered phone obsessed evening young employees by having a courteous greeting upon entering and by having the store and restrooms clean and stocked. Glad I stopped and gave this place another chance. read more

I have tried the chicken twice. The first time it was horrible. The chicken was overcooked you couldn't chew it. I said I would never go in there again. but I decided I wanted fried chicken so I went in today got a wing and two thighs with mashed potatoes and gravy. The two thighs were rancid, in other words, spoiled I took one bite out of each one and spit it out. The wing that I got you couldn't chew it. They overcooked the chicken to the point that it just unedible. And I for a wing and two thighs that were rancid, horrible ruined spoiled. At least this is a 24-hour gas station but unfortunately on my visit the regular unleaded was out so went inside to use the restroom and with my luck or being cleaned, back to the next gas station here I go. This is kind of like a micro buckees. If you can restrain yourself go 25 miles Due West to the gas station RV Park, that is a 24-hour gas station but kind of dilapidated. read more

Super clean bathrooms. Friendly lady behind the counter was a lovely surprise at the crack of before dawn. It was a long road trip. I needed coffee and a bathroom. I was hauling a U-Haul and needed a place with enough space for me to park that puppy. This place hit all the marks. I don't see how a semi could get in and out conveniently but my truck and U-Haul had plenty of room in the parking lot. I did not eat here. The food looked a little left over from the night before. The coffee, however, was great! Lots of choices for creamers and blends of coffee. The coffee station was kinda messy for so early. Did they have a rush just before I got there? Don't know. It's a nice gas station and everyone was kind. It was fairly clean. I got some chicken at Chester's and it wasn't great. If this was just the chicken place I probably would've gone 2 stars. Nonetheless, kind and clean. read more

This was a great stop for gas. There's lots of hot food choices, drinks and coffees. There is also showers for truckers and clean bathrooms. The manager even asked if I found everything to be ok. read more

Very clean restroom. They even have showers for rent. We bought some fried chickens and liver gizzard. Its very good.

One doesn't normally have high expectations for a gas station, but this was an oasis in the middle of nowhere. Clean bathrooms, Chester's Chicken and a small take out section on site, good service - what more could you ask for? This is the nicest gas station for a while on the 10 so I recommend it. read more

Brand spanking new and boy am I thankful for it! Traveling 87 to 277 is very hit and miss trying to find places for us big trucks to park, and even though this place only has about 15 spots, it's easier parking than some of the places on this route. There are also showers here, plus a few food places to walk to and a Family Dollar. This place is very clean on the inside, the workers are friendly, plus there's the taco bar and a Chester's Chicken. We always seem to have a consistently great experience at Road Rangers. read more

Traveling is always a risk when stopping to get a bite to eat, the Chester Chicken at this Road Ranger station was horrible all the sides where old and cold. The chicken was somewhat ok but in total a bad experience. Needless to say we won't stop at one of this again for a long time. read more

My debit info was stolen near San Antonio and used easily WITHOUT the card at the Sonora location of this store. Not cool.

Driving with three vehicles and tracking receipts is hard enough. Tried going inside and leaving an ID to activate pumps, no joy. Asked if he could do it if I left my ID and a Credit Card. Still no, wanted to leave cash in excess of what it would take, nope. I go out to the pump and run my card 3 times, oh great the pumps cut out at $45 dollars, I now have 6 receipts for one fuel stop. At least they are the last 6 I will have from this place. read more
