If you're in West Texas and need a tow, Sheffield is the place to call. If you're lucky, you'll get Mike. He was amazing. Note: Don't bother with AAA - they'll set you up with Sheffield and you'll burn time waiting. Just call Sheffield directly and get reimbursed from AAA. read more

Bill and Frank came to our rescue after we collided with a deer in rural west Texas! The initial tow company that retrieved us in the night did not contract with AAA so we spent the night in Ozona while our insurance found a tow and ride for us to the Austin area. I would like to THANK Bill and Frank for making us feel comfortable and entertained during the 4 1/2 hour drive!! They seriously could star in a sitcom named, "Two Texans and a tow truck!" Also, grateful for the follow up from Bill to explain where they delivered the car and keys as it was after hours at the auto shop and we needed to retrieve items from it the next day after we rented a car. On a separate note, drivers beware in Texas for those dang suicide Deer!! read more

DO NOT USE THIS TOWING COMPANY. Not professional at all CALLED AT 12:30 Gave us an eta of 1 hour Gave us and eta 1 hour and a half Gave us an eta of 15 minutes Then said the person that was going to help us is busy on a police call It's now 4:30 AAA will try to use them but ask for Johnco. They personally gave me repeatedly false ETA . Then said they have no eta for me. ( April said that) I called Johnco and they were to me in 15 minutes If you have AAA call Johnco towing they are covered, professional and communicates. read more

This review is long overdue! Shoutout to Mike Baker with Sheffield towing forever! Long story short, we were doing the Jeep trail out in big bend National park of May 2022 when a huge hail & thunderstorm came out of nowhere and flooded the area. Including us - right in the middle of big bend National park. After 12 hours of waiting, the park rangers finally found US but our Jeep was still stuck. After hours of searching companies that could tow jeeps off of off road trails we FINALLY came across Sheffield and the god send Mike himself! Y'all this man is a Jeep towing boss - he towed his own tricked out Jeep on the wrecker, picked us up from Terlingua Ranch (also highly recommend) drove an hour and half to the park where our Jeep was stuck, off loaded his Jeep, drove down to the trail, hooked our Jeep baby up to his Jeep baby (after replacing the tire from the accident), & then loaded BOTH Jeeps back up to save the day! Highly highly recommend Sheffield and Mike and his family! We even had an opportunity to speak to his wife who dispatches for him! Lovely lovely family and the best rescue team out in west Texas! Thank y'all so much for rescue! read more

Wife & I were driving on I10 Eastbound heading to Houston, TX then collided with a freight truck while making a sharp right turn exit into a gas station. Called AAA, they set us up with Sheffield Towing Services and they sent Charlie to our rescue and I have to say, he is the MOST NICEST guy I ever met!!! He drove us and our car for 354 miles, total about 6 hours, all the way from Sonora, TX to Houston!! read more

Buyer beware. Received towing services from these guys for my class A RV. In order to do so, they disconnected the driveshaft. After arriving at the mechanics shop, the driver dropped the RV, never said a word to us and drove off. After this we discovered that at some point during the tow the driveshaft fell off. There have been numerous calls, with promises of a call back that has never been received. Horrible customer service or care. Have now been stranded in Texas with no drive shaft for 11 days, still with no return call from these grifters. Ran out of insulin, spent a night in the ER because of it. Still no phone call. Use these guys at your own risk. Oh yeah, had a really fun ride in the RV while it was being towed, since the drivers cooler on the seat was more important than the people receiving the tow. If there were negative stars, I would have them. read more

Charlie Harris from Sheffield Towing Services truly is top notch and helped me when even the local authorities refused to help as I was stranded on I-10 at night time in a dangerous area. He was very fast and efficient and was able to change my tire for me after I realized I didn't have the key for the lug nut lock and couldn't change the tire myself. read more

Robert saved our family! 2am and stranded on a deserted stretch of the 10 with a bunch of little kids and a tire that fell off because the tire guys didn't tighten the lug nuts when we got new tires for our 1,300 mile trip. Robert showed up in the middle of the night with a smile and a wonderful attitude. he was friendly and kind as he helped our family and got us and our car to safety. AAA had originally called a different tow company that didn't show up, happy we ended up with this tow company. wish AAA had called them first so we didn't have to wait an extra hour for a no show tow company. thank you Robert and Sheffield towing! read more

Long story short, I locked the keys in the car with it RUNNING. On a RV road trip, so no spare. Called my road side assistance people (rhymes with Sood Gam) and they dispatched Sheffield Towing. I received a call from Mike in minutes. Since Sheffield is 75 miles away from Sonora (Sonora should have a towing service?) Mike said it would take him a bit to get to me and estimated 1 1/2 hrs. He texted when on his way and got there within 1 1/2 hrs of my call to GS. Was a very nice man and had my car opened within minutes. I think that the Negative Nancy's on here should maybe look in the mirror. Highly recommend Sheffield Towing. read more

RJ took me all the way from Ozona to San Antonio and was easy going and nice to talk with the whole way there. Great service and experience. I definitely recommend their services if you're in their quite sizable service area and find yourself in a jam like I did. They helped me out on my 200mile tow through AAA. read more

I was actually a bit frightened as I ran out of fuel on a Texas highway. In response to call for help, I was put in touch with Sheffield Towing. Very prompt delivery of fuel and I didn't have to wait long at all. I would say he was an answer to prayer. read more

After blowing out a tire on our loaner Tesla in the middle of what felt like nowhere, Tesla arranged for Sheffield Towing to pick us up and tow us to a nearby tire shop. We were stressed and nervous, but Bill showed up and completely saved us. He was so professional and treated our car like his own. He was very friendly and once he dropped us and the car off at the tire shop, he waited to make sure that we were okay. Bill could not have been any more professional and polite. He completely took our stress away from this situation. I highly recommend Sheffield Towing! read more

TEN STARS and we'll deserved! I broke down on I-10. Even though I was not at the original location when I first called. The driver found me (with a smile on his face)! Bill had great social skills and we chit chatted while in route. Bill not only towed my car to the garage; he drove me to the motel (I am from out of town, driving to Vegas). Bill even made a pitstop (in the opposite direction) so that I could buy some groceries. If I read more

Peery Sheffield came RIGHT out to me in the middle of nowhere to change my tire. After waiting 3 1/2 hours for another company, he was there within 20 minutes. He was very friendly, nice and got the job done quick. His family has been living in the area since the mid 1880's! If you are in the area, definitely use them! read more

We (4 of us) broke down in the middle of nowhere I-10 on our way West, and Billy from Sheffield Towing came to our rescue! They were quick to respond to get us off the side of the road, and Billy helped to unload what we needed from our camping supplies, and took us all the way to a reputable mechanic shop late night on a Saturday and then to a nearby hotel. He was professional, helpful, and incredibly kind. We cannot thank Billy and Sheffield Towing for coming to our rescue!! Highly recommend read more

I received services from Sheffield towing for fuel delivery. I was charged a $100 service fee and an additional $20 for what was supposed to have been 5 gallons of gas. I asked repeatedly if this was enough gas to get me into the next town Ozona, Tx. about 56 miles away. I asked several times if it was enough gas to get me into the next town. I was guaranteed yes. Well, 9 miles from town I ran out of gas. I call the company and the owner were very rude and said they don't guarantee that the 5 gallons will get you to the next town. The whole thing is a scam! They don't care if u make it or not with the gas they provide. I will be filing fraud charges on them because they did not provide the service they tell you. Will be filing with Better Bussines Bureau as well. Robert Garcia read more

We booked this service through AAA and Sheffield Towing was prompt and courteous. We required a flat bed tow truck to carry our disabled Tesla 240 miles to service center in San Antonio. This service was provided without any problems. However, the best part of the experience was the driver. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and helped us to our hastily acquired lodging for the night. Thanks for rescuing us from the side of the road and from spending the night out in the wilds of West Texas. BPC read more

When 2 other companies failed to show, Mike and his assistant rescued us, THANK GOODNESS FOR THEM and their wonderful caring nature. They both worked very hard to get us back on the road, through the cold and darkness. Wanting to do what was best for us, even though it required TWO times the work. Truly genuine, caring, wonderful people, who gladly go above and beyond to insure work done professionally, such a pleasure. If you are in need, call the true professionals, the VERY BEST. Thank you both, it turned a nightmare into a pleasure. read more

Be careful... No gas stations within 80 miles of this stretch! Luckily the previous yelp reviewer gave the number above and it took the Iraan exit 13 miles north to a gas station. This guy was super friendly on the phone and helped us from getting stranded on the 10 west. read more

Had a positive experience with Sheffield Towing through AAA. When we were stuck on the outskirts of Ft. Like other reviewers, we ran out of fuel looking for a station in Sheffield, TX. Unless it's early in the day, the gas station in Sheffield closes at 5 PM. We needed fuel at 10PM. It's important to fuel up your vehicle in Ft. Stockton or Ozona! I called our insurance company (USAA) towing and labor service. That number would be 800-531-8111 for anyone with USAA...use the voice prompts. They dispatched Sheffield Towing and a very nice man named Perry came to our rescue!!! He would have been there sooner, but was on another dispatched call. Peery was a blessing in an urgent time of need! Cannot recommend this company enough! Thank you Mr. Peery! read more

The service was promptly and as soon as the driver got there he had my car back on the road..

Thank you for being so incredibly helpful. We could not have asked for a more patient driver. Stille helped us find a tire shop after the one our insurance sent us to was closed. He was the silver lining to our bad day. We highly recommend this company. read more

What a blessing. We had just changed insurance on our RV and the new policy didn't come with Roadside Assistance. Luckily, my cell had service (Verizon) and I was able to see we were near Sheffield Towing when we had flat on our inner dually. Mark was one of the friendliest and most helpful individuals I have ever encountered. He rescued us in the middle of nowhere on IH 10 near Sonora. He got bad information from AAA about where we were and saw us on the side of the road. He took the initiative to check with AAA to see it that was us, which saved both of us a couple of hours in wasted time since he did not have to go to the wrong location. He kept asking if there was anything he could do to make us more comfortable or to help us feel better about our circumstances. He towed us to San Angelo and was willing to wait for us to find a repair shop since we did not have internet access where we were stranded. Mark was efficient and professional. read more
