We had a medium-sized wedding down at Arlington Street Church about a week ago, and Joyce and her team at Nellie's came through in the most fabulous ways!! My wife and I couldn't have been happier with the big altar arrangements, our gorgeous bouquets, the little boutonnieres and wristlet corsages for our wedding party, and the lovely smaller arrangements for the tables at our reception. Absolutely everything was just as we'd discussed with Joyce in the planning stage, delivered promptly the morning of our service, fresh, lovely, and just 100% top-quality gorgeousness. Admittedly, I was a bit nervous selecting Hiroko after a few email exchanges but my gut told me Hiroko wasn't like any other florist. During our in-person consultation, Hiroko took the time to understand my preferences and to explain her artistic interpretation via sketches. I kick myself now for not asking to keep her sketches; they were works of art! My expectations after the consultation were high but Hiroko took my breath away when I saw my wedding bouquet and arrangements. The arrangement was beautiful and perfect for the occasion. When it dried, my daughter kept it. When my daughter was given the responsibility of getting flowers for a work reason, she recommended Hanaya Floral. They could do a much better job for the budgeted price. I do not live near this florist, but I asked her help when a dear friend was terminally ill and I wanted to send a very special arrangement. My friend and her husband were NYC sophisticated with artistic sensibilities. Hanaya Floral discussed an arrangement with a local to the patient florist who delivered an awesome arrangement. When my spouse and I were in Cambridge we stopped by Hanaya Floral in person. The owner is a gentle soul and made us feel welcome even though we were not shopping for an arrangement at that time. They took money from my bank and didn't deliver flowers on delivery date of the 14th. I tried to be compassionate they received some snow (a few inches in the state of delivery)so I gave it a day , or two, or three , now four. In the meantime I have left a ridiculous amount of voice mail and emails and the only response I received was "due to high volume they cannot respond at this time" the flowers finally arrived today and were not even that good, but the part that really gets me, is when I spoke with the florist they sublet through, she informed me they never got the order until Monday the 17th to be delivered the 18th. I am outraged with this company and will hope no one else makes the same mistake I did in trusting this horrific company. They have not refunded my money or returned any of my messages thus far. I am now taking legal action through the bank. Don't use this crappy company!!!
