Laura is located in Washington, DC along with the co-founder Carlee in San Diego, seamlessly and professionally brought together a beautiful day. I grew up in San Diego and have some knowledge of the city but Laura and Carlee really brought it together and added their "green" touch to the event. These are the most important things- for me-, but there are many more, that GWE provided: *Support with design, table layout and overall look and feel of the event. *Amazing ability to manage a project professionally but also bringing a true sense of calm to an overwhelming process. *Extensive knowledge of wedding etiquette, vendor relations, negotiations, overall event production and coordination and of course, reducing the impact of any event on the environment. *Day-of coordination and everything that lead up to that including timing of deliveries, managing the final details of contracts, and the chronology of the wedding day. There was also a lot of people-wrangling that was done with ease. The venue was unique to say the least, and GWE's team never batted an eye handling all the bumps and idiosyncrasies. We could not have done it without them and I would hire them again and again for any event in the future both here in Washington, DC or San Diego.

I interviewed two planners, and I knew I wanted Vicky right away because I was confident that she could get the job done. She didn't want to be my best friend--she wanted to help us achieve the wedding of our dreams while staying under budget. When we were deciding on what services we wanted her to take care of, she showed us this very detailed list of services, kind of like an a la carte menu. We wanted to keep our wedding planner services at $3000 I think, and so we basically picked and chose which things we wanted her to do. SO SIMPLE. No negotiating necessary. After that, she made it feel like our wedding was the only wedding she was working on. Such attention to detail, with a balance of her suggestions and getting our input so that it would still be our wedding. She was honest and straightforward about what she thought were bad ideas, which made us trust in the things that she was excited about and thought were great ideas. Vicky just has so much experience that--really--every little tiny detail was taken care of, so that on the day of our wedding, all we had to do was get our hair and makeup done and show up at the wedding. (My husband and the groomsmen were actually bored the day of our wedding!) The weeks before the wedding, my friends--who know that I get stressed out managing dinner reservations--were amazed to see me so stress-free! Lastly, and maybe I should've opened with this, as soon as we booked all of our vendors, I knew that the cost of having Vicky as our wedding planner paid for itself. The money and time we saved using Vicky's contacts (especially DJ, caterer and florist) was significant. SIGNIFICANT. Please consider Vicky for your event planning services! She is amazing!

Laura is a true professional who went above and beyond at every opportunity to help us think through our vision, provide us with resources and options, and problem solve. She was able to adeptly think through creative solutions, anticipate potential risks and challenges, and was extremely attentive and responsive to every question and detail. She was also a strong communicator who was transparent with us about risks, costs, and opportunities, who was able to communicate and build relationships with a number of vendors, and who was able to work through any differences of opinion. Laura literally saved us THOUSANDS of dollars by identifying alternatives, coming up with creative solutions, and negotiating on our behalf. Our wedding would not have been possible without her and we are truly in her debt. Guests commented on the beautiful flowers over and over again. The owner, Mike, has a well-developed clientele in the area so you can get lots of references. He also has a small team of perfectionist, creative artists backing him up. He's super talented, so much so that when my daughter-in-law became overwhelmed with all the wedding planning she finally just said to him that she had this much money and she wanted these colors and these flowers and she would trust his artistic talents with the rest. Well, not only was that a burden off all our shoulders and one less thing to worry about, Mike did not fail to come through! The arrangements were nothing less than breathtaking. He also went to the trouble to make gorgeous magnolia garlands for the two fireplaces in the hall and bedecked them with little lights - so subtle and lovely. Once we turned everything over to him, we never worried about it again and he was completely thorough on the wedding day, taking care of all things floral in a most professional manner. Both church and banquet hall were absolutely beautiful. This is a great business to work with, and I highly recommend them.

My daughter was to start her job in another state a few weeks later and there was no possibility of any of us traveling to DC again for a different wedding date. She then replied a few days later that nobody was willing to do so, which we since have found out she never actually asked her staff that question, only told them that we "cancelled." I would never recommend a company like this, it was shady from the get go. Please save yourself time and money and find a better company to arrange your wedding. I just needed someone to help me execute the day of and to coordinate with all my vendors. I found Yosira via Instagram using the hashtag (I think - #dmvweddingdayofcoordinator or something like that). To provide some color, my wedding was scheduled for October 5th, 2019 and I started searching for a day of coordinator around middle of August 2019. I did not have the luxury of time and I really appreciated Yosira's quick response. I reached out to her using her website. I received a response from her within 24 hours and she scheduled a call to discuss within a few days. After our call, I received an invoice. So, between the day I reached out and getting an invoice was probably 5 - 7 days max. It was very efficient process, which I really appreciated. Working with Yosira was a breeze! She was amazing to work with. She was very thorough, understood my vision and executed on my vision impeccably. She has a great eye for detail. She asked really great questions and thought about things I didn't even remember / consider. She helped me with finding food and drink vendors. The wedding was perfectly time managed. All my vendors knew where to be and what time to show up. She had a very structured timeline that she shared with me and communicated to the vendors. For the service and execution she rendered, I'd have happily paid 25% more than the quote because it was such an excellent service. She went above and beyond on my expectations and I highly recommend her!
