My best friend has his wedding here, and it is truly a gorgeous venue. He had a outdoor wedding in the summer, but it was never too hot because there was a tent set up outside with A/C. Inside is stunning as well, with all hardwood/marble floors. There is a bridal suite upstairs, which gets filled with natural sunlight during the day, making it perfect for pictures!

Charming place for a wedding. Even though it's in PG County, which doesn't necessarily evoke the feeling of a classy wedding spot, the venue and its grounds take you to a whole new world. I was here for a friend's wedding. There's plenty of parking. Unfortunately, it may be difficult to get here via public transportation. It's just a few miles from the National Harbor. Apart from the heat, which admittedly was a little stifling for the outdoor wedding, the nearly cloudless sky overlooking green hills, with the river in the distant background, cast a perfect backdrop for the wedding. The outdoor seating area also overlooks a small fountain and gardens. There's a large outdoor patio area where the tented reception was held. There's plenty of hardwood-floored ballroom space for an indoor reception too. I didn't have a chance to explore the upstairs but I'm sure it's beautiful too. Terrific venue!

Oxon Hill Manor is one of my favorite places to photograph weddings! It is a gorgeous and spacious venue. I have gone multiple times and it has always been beautidul and well organized, as well as clean! We attended my gorgeous cousin's wedding and had a blast! This place is enchanting and nestled off of the beating path near the outlets. We enjoyed an open bar, hors d'oeuvres, and a 3 course meal. I would definitely recommend for outdoor weddings or events and to add an additional PLUS, we didn't get bit at all during the ceremony as the grounds were treated to prevent pesky and annoying mosquito and bug bites. We love weddings but an evening outdoor wedding with an amazing DJ dancing into the night underneath the stars is everything!!!

Hosted a wedding reception here for 150 people on a Sunday in February and it was breathtaking. Even in winter, the grounds were a great setting for our wedding photos. The mansion has an elegant vibe with plenty of space for dancing and a stations-style dinner; the space requires little decoration because of the existing wallpaper detail, grand fireplaces, and the dark wood library. We brought our own DJ and alcohol with no problems (although you cannot serve red wine without extra insurance). The venue provides their own tables and chairs, so if you are not picky about chair style (we weren't) you can skip the extra hassle of added rentals. Our experience with Gerai in contracting and leading up to the day was good, and she left us a small token as a wedding present. Could not have afforded a more beautiful wedding venue so close to DC and big enough to accommodate all our family and friends.

It was significantly cheaper than the Gaylord and less than a quarter mile away. Checking in was a little odd. After walking in the door, I had to walk up to the next floor for the lobby- you can also take the elevator up. The hotel is under construction, but I didn't hear any noise. One of the elevators was ACTIVELY under construction when I was there, but still usable. The room itself was cozy and comfortable. It was fine for a couple of nights, and since I was there for a conference, I wasn't in my room much. The room didn't have a microwave, but one is located in the lobby. The mini fridge kept my drinks and leftovers cold. The water pressure, provided shampoo/conditional/body/wash, and hair dryer were wonderful. The phone looked dusty and dirty, but I didn't use it. I actually slept on the other side of the bed so I wouldn't be too close to the phone. I'm not even sure why hotels have phones these days. Everyone has a cell phone. I didn't go to the bar downstairs, but on my second night here, I saw quite a crowd enjoying the bar area. Ironically, some of them were drinking spirits and juices/mixer out of their own red solo cups at the tables. I've never seen that at a hotel before, but I didn't ask questions and just went up to my cozy room to chill. I wasn't a fan of the National Harbor area, but if the conference I attend each year is held is this area again, I'd stay at this hotel again- but I wouldn't use the room phone.

Cleanliness was also a major concern, which is particularly disappointing when you want to enjoy a hotel stay away from your comfortable home. Several areas appeared worn and in need of attention, giving the impression that the property is overdue for some much neededrenovations. Overall, the hotel simply did not meet my expectations, and I certainly wouldn't choose to stay here again. There are too many other lodging options in National Harbor to settle for accommodations in this condition.

They trained almost every front desk staff member to be rude and unhelpful, un empathetic, and they don't even have room service past 2pm, what kind of a resort is that? I dyed my hair at 2am and to my surprise the water only had one temperature: Scolding hot. So hot it can give you 3rd degree burns. I called front desk from the hotel phone and sat on hold for an hour, I later found out the graveyard shift never answers the phone so I used my cell phone and called the property and a nice Lady from Texas Gaylord (different Property) picked Up the phones and tried To assist me about a property she wasn't Even at. After 6 calls and 3 Hours and many failed attempts at engineering to fix , they let me shower in the room next door so I can wash the dye off my hair. They sent a plumber 13 hours later who didn't fix the issue and for 4 days we had not showered. They upgraded us to a suite For the last night and guess what! The water was now freezing cold and no option to make it hot This was the worst "resort" stay I've ever had, I have better stays at the Fairfield Inn or Hampton inn.

Bed was amazingly comfortable but noise outside the room was loud.

Since we probably would only go weekends for an hour or two, I'm glad there are the options for one time pay or multi hour passes for future use. Since we weren't sure if we'd be back, we gave it a try for one hour. Prices may change but our first time was $18 per child per hour. This may seem high for only one hour, but my kids had fun and my hour without worrying about them or being interrupted was very productive so it was worth it. Staff are friendly. I only wished they had gluten free options for the kiddos to enjoy after their play. Guess we can bring our own next time! :)

My Favorite Dueling Piano Bar!…read more I've become a regular at Bobby McKey's, and there's a reason I keep coming back. This is much more than a night of live music. It's an interactive, unpredictable, and thoroughly entertaining experience where the audience becomes part of the show. The musicians are extraordinarily talented, with an amazing ability to perform everything from classic rock and Motown to country, pop, and old-school standards. I love making eclectic song requests, and the performers consistently surprise me with their versatility, humor, and enthusiasm. On one particularly memorable evening, they played 23 of my 25 requests! What really distinguishes Bobby McKey's is the personal interaction. Performers such as Jimmy, Angela, Jeremy, Nate, and Drew make the evening feel special. They engage with the audience, recognize familiar faces, and create spontaneous moments that make every visit different. The service is another highlight. Kaela is wonderful--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. It's especially nice to visit a place where the staff remembers you and makes you feel appreciated. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, enjoying a date night, or simply love live music, Bobby McKey's delivers a fantastic evening. The audience singalongs, friendly atmosphere, talented musicians, and personal attention keep me coming back. I've visited other dueling piano bars, but Bobby McKey's will always have a special place in my heart. Five stars, without hesitation. Highly recommended!

I didn't get a chance to try the food, but everything I saw coming out looked really good. The karaoke room was pretty warm, but I just assumed it was because there were a lot of us in a small space, so it wasn't a big deal. The real problem was when our room time was over and we went into the main area. It was HOT, like, no air at all. And I'm not talking about the Chris Brown and Jordin Sparks song (LOL). It was honestly unbearable. With the heat wave we've been having, there's really no excuse for the AC to be struggling that much. Other than that, we had a great time, and I'd definitely come back. This wasn't an issue since they honor the 2hour limit no matter when you start. As far as the location, it is great. A very popular area, but that leads to limited paid parking. So be prepared. And as I mentioned, lots of stairs. Once we got to our room, ordering food and drinks was the biggest downside of this place. I have not visited other locations but I heard the may be better. We had a room of about 20. To order you press the Server "call button" it beeps until the server comes so it is super annoying if you sit by the beeper. Not really sure why it needs to beep on our end. Each person was able to order and pay for their own food. Food came relatively quickly. However, 2 people in our party had to flag down a server about their food after about 45 minutes. I had some fries which were really good. Overall, I would be back. They have a "public" kareoke stage and bar as well as the private rooms. I am a private room girly all the way, but can appreciate the open space as well.

You know, trying to be responsible adults. When we pulled up to check in there were a few people ahead of us. The receptionist was still very polite to everybody. She answered our questions about parking and we were set. By the way, it's very convenient that the parking garage is right across the street. You can use your room key to enter the hotel from the backside (across from the parking garage). You can get your parking ticket validated to allow in & out access. The decor is modern and updated. I like the way they've set up seating areas by the dining area for say...... a family with small kids to eat together. There are a few TV's on the walls in the sitting areas if you'd like to just chill. The room, or should I say suite, was nice. I like that the TV swivels 360 degrees so you can turn it around to watch while on the couch. Then swivel it to the bed and watch there as well. We had a kitchenette with microwave, plates, glasses, siverware, a stove, etc. The bed was comfy, but the pillows were a bit lumpy. They did the job. The water was HOT and had good pressure. What else do you need? Oh, the gym was pretty good for a hotel gym! They even had kettlebells. They also had a store with plenty of everything you might need while you're there. I felt comfortable there. The door and elevator both required key-card access. The carpet didn't look worn down. The hallways were painted (or it was probably wallpaper) a nice grey color. It really felt homey. We'll be back.

We stayed here because of our pet, and the hotel allows for fur guests at a reasonable visit fee. The suites are spacious and have all that you need to feel like you have a home base when you're away from home. Some of the highlights or good things about our Residence Inn stay: - There is a nearby parking deck and the back entrance of the hotel is right across the street from it. So, it's very convenient when bringing in luggage or just going in and out daily. - Our room was on the 7th floor and was very spacious. The suite layout was comfortable with the kitchenette, living room area, bedroom area, and bathroom/closet situation. - The kitchen has a full-sized fridge, where you can store groceries and do your own cooking if you want. The drawers and cabinets are supplied with plates, cookware, and various utensils. The kitchen has an energy efficient dishwater and a garbage-disposal sink, too! - The free breakfast buffet is pretty good! Hot food bar, waffle makers, cereal, yogurt, bakery good, hot coffee, cold brew, etc. The whole gamut of breakfast food stuffs. - Laundry room! Our trip to D.C. was nearly two weeks long, so this was great towards the end of our trip. You can ask the front desk for a roll of coins in exchange for cash. The washing machine costs $4 to use for one wash cycle. The dryer is similar to costs except you can add in increments of 25 cents. It's by the gym. - There's a gym and workout machines. My husband who used it said it does the job. - The Residence Inn is close to casual eateries, bars and various entertainment venues (if you're into dueling piano spots, you're in luck!), and within walking distance of a CVS pharmacy if you need.
