She helped us with finding quality vendors, keeping us on track/organized through her super helpful portal (which had sections for design planning, vendor contacts, budget, seating charts, to-do list, advice, etc), with a number of scheduled video calls and by checking in via email. We used zola for our website but I regret not going with her option to build a website for us because zola had a lot of frustrating limitations (couldn't even add links or bold things where we needed to). She had a helpful assistant through the prep process and an amazing, kind wedding day team who helped assemble my dream design elements. I'm a designer and made mockups of how I wanted things to look and uploaded pictures to the portal design studio, and they followed my vision so well!! And they even made one part look more tasteful than I had planned - loved it! Maybe more importantly, Andrea and her team basically made everything run smoothly, including packing up all the stuff we gave them to set out at the end of the night and dropping it off at my husband's dad's house since our venue was strict and needed everything out ASAP. What a relief to just show up to the wedding day (and leave) knowing all of those little details were being set up and taken care of - it was awesome! On the day-of, Andrea and her team were connected with the vendors with headsets, making everything run smoothly and communicating with the DJ about who was coming down the aisle for the songs to line up. She also helped us and the rest of the staff adjust and pivot after our ceremony went way overtime (we should've known, our rabbi loves the poetic details, which was beautiful in the moment, and my husband & I probably should've planned for more time knowing that lol). She helped us calm down after realizing how behind we were because she stayed so calm and collected, and calmly walked us through deciding what to shift for the rest of our timeline (we packed a lot of rituals in there). She also swooped in to help when I was having trouble with my makeshift dress bustle (she had worked at a bridal shop in the past - so amazingly helpful!) Andrea is so kind, calm, organized, approachable, and just nice to work with. She talked me through a few anxieties when I was overthinking things and in general, she was super patient with our moments of indecision and neurosis lol. I'm going to miss our rapport and check-ins, it was so nice knowing she had our backs throughout this whole process. Wedding planning is an overwhelming process, so having someone there for us like she was was a total game changer. The first thing which is off putting is that she charges an additional 20% after the minimum budget of $7500 which is fine but she includes her planning fee of $2800 in the minimum budget. That means you only have a $4700 budget before she starts charging more for anything additional. The second thing is that we had expressed our desires for a venue as far as the aesthetic we are looking for, and some specifics like ample parking and no stairs as we had some elderly family on our guest list. Initially we asked for a restaurant but she encouraged us to find a venue space and cater food. She gave us one option in DC with difficult parking and stairs so we reiterated our wishes. Then she emailed us three venue options. First option- not available on the date we specified Second option- too far out of the city and way over budget 3. a lower budget option which really didn't have the aesthetic we had discussed. We were disappointed with the venue options because we felt like she cornered us into choosing the one out of our budget. Because we were disappointed with the final options she gave us, we found our own venue and got a contract with a restaurant. Thirdly, we expressed to Madison how we wanted to incorporate a small cultural ceremony that involved some research on her part if she was going to be decorating it. Since she was not familiar with it, we asked that she collaborate with another event designer that specifically prepares the cultural ceremonies. Madison immediately took offense but agreed to work with her once we agreed to include the venue and ceremonial vendor into the minimum budget- so basically she was ok with it as long as she made money from it. Lastly, as all this was unfolding in a matter of a few days, she emailed us and told us that she was no longer providing her services since we found our own venue and had another planner. We called her immediately to figure out what was going on and she said her mind was already made up which we felt was unprofessional to quit rather than try to resolve any issues. She stated in the email she was quitting because she felt she wasn't needed since we found our own vendor and had someone decorating a ceremonial table for us but that she would be keeping our deposit of $1400. SHE QUIT AND KEPT THE DEPOSIT. Overall we felt that she was not a good listener, was pushy with her own agenda- making more money off of us, and unprofessional in the way she handled quitting. I would not recommend her!

I paid $450 for professional photography for my daughter's first birthday, a once-in-a-lifetime celebration that cost over $7,000. I trusted this photographer to capture such a special occasion, but the final gallery was extremely disappointing. Many of the photos were taken from low, unflattering angles, had poor composition, or were unnecessarily repetitive. Several important moments were either missed or not captured well. What was even more disappointing was the response afterward. When I raised my concerns, the photographer claimed that the angles had been "edited to eye level." That explanation made little sense. While editing can adjust exposure, color, and cropping, it generally cannot change the original camera angle or perspective. A photo taken from a low angle cannot realistically be transformed into an eye-level shot through editing alone. The photographer also failed to avoid obvious reflections in people's eyeglasses. Can you imagine paying $450 for professional photos, only to receive images in which bright white glare obscures people's eyes and faces? Instead of acknowledging the problems or offering a reasonable solution, Mary, the owner, refused to take responsibility or provide a refund. This was my daughter's once-in-a-lifetime first birthday, and after spending over $7,000 on the celebration, I expected professional-quality photographs that would preserve those memories. Unfortunately, both the quality of the photographs and the customer service fell far below my expectations.

She even shuttled us around the venue grounds in air conditioning to avoid the wet grounds after the rain as well as the oppressive humidity. Winnie is the kind of artful photographer that bends her creativity and works flexibly with whatever variables she is given to not only get the job done right, but get it done MASTERFULLY. Putting your trust in her is the best thing you can do- all she needs you to do is pose and smile where and how she tells you to. She was also amazing in directing our friends and family in what to do in the photos as they were hot messes in the humidity and excitement of the day! When we opened our sneak peeks the morning after (!!!), we teared up and kept borderline-screaming about how incredible our photos came out. I am not exaggerating when I say many looked like we could be on the front of a bridal magazine. Winnie combined perfect lighting, gorgeous backdrops, artful framing, and intentional directing of us to create the most stunning photos of us that we will cherish forever.
