Last April, I lucky enough to work with…read more2hands Studios for event rentals for my wedding. 2hands came as a recommendation from our florist, but they up being a complete godsend and really added the special finishing touches to my wedding day vision. The 2hands studio is a real life wedding Pinterest board. :-) We ended up using them for all table decor items, including mercury vases, antique mirrors, antique gold frames for our table numbers, candle votives and floating candle holders. We also rented a card lantern, a few sets of shutters (for our name cards), and multiple chalkboard signs. I also paid for the set up fee, which was well worth the cost as everything was executed flawlessly. They even helped me find a place for and set-up a family heirloom veil. Most importantly, working with Jill and Ally was super fun and super easy. They were collaborative and consultative. If I had found them earlier in the planning process, I am sure I would have found even more reasons to use them on other items b/c they seem to do everything. My other vendors expressed their displeasures of her to me, my family members asked where did I find her. After viewing her contract I was comfortable with signing due to the fact she was charging to attend a rehearsal dinner. My thought is how can you execute anything the day of if you are not attending. My husband wanted to use her so we hired her. Due to the fact that she was only hired to be the Day of Coordinator I didn't expect much from her other to visit the site to get an understanding how things would be set up(we had three areas), attend the rehearsal dinner, and do what she was paid to do for the day of events. Battle 1: The site visit. I reached out to her to attend the site visit and to meet with the other vendors especially the catering company since they would be providing the linen and Angie was in charge of decorations. Well Angie went to the site before the planned visit ( I was notified and okay with her visiting the site alone but she needed to provided details. We received none other than she visited). Only July 6, 2017 she texted me about the meeting with the hotel vendor and wanted to have a phone conference...she missed it. She worked out that day and fell asleep. I was able to calm my husband and said things happen when there is a late conference(7pm...in the summer). July 11, 2017, we texted back and forth and I told here we had some concerns about here schedule not meeting our needs. Angie called me that day and we had a conversation that completely rubbed me the wrong way; she stated that I am not the only one that is getting married and not to mention that she was going to Jamaica and had to prepare to leave the day after the site visit.This is when I wanted her completely out of my life, out of my event, and didn't want to be associated with business. My Husband and I had a conversation and he was to deal with all things regarding the Day of Coordination. This was short lived due to his current job out of the state. After speaking with my husband and the catering company Angie finally agreed to attend the scheduled meeting. That is another story in it self and I had to bring in my cousin to be a buffer so that I would not lose my dignity and self respect. Battle 2: The rehearsal and wedding. The rehearsal went as well as could be expected since we had another family getting married the day of the rehearsal. She managed what she could because that would have been a tough situation for anyone to deal with. I should here were all of the decorations were being held so that she could set up all decorations the day of the event. the day of the event she shows at 3pm for a 5pm wedding. In her contract it states she will set up and break down the decorations for the event which meant that my family, the groom, and the hotel staff had to set up the decorations and sent me back to the room to get dressed. The one thing that I was adamant about was no pictures taken during the ceremony, Angie was to announce this or have the DJ make the announcement (she didn't make one nor did she have the DJ make the announcement. I asked the DJ and my guest said no announcement was made and she had not given the DJ info to announce it either) when asked she said "You Know people don't listen and hurried us in to the ball room to walk down a fully lighted room that was to be dimmed. I mean what's the point of having candles burning if you are going to have the room full of light. The cake boxes she took home to assemble never showed back up which means I lost $100.00 in cake boxes, The decorations were packed carelessly which resulted in broken vases and missing linen. The one that that I was told about before she left was the roman column that broke and when asked she said something about the workers in the other room. The gifts and cards were to be giving my cousin and that didn't happened we had to go back to the room just to get those. I truly can go on and on about her lack of professionalism but the best I can leave any one with is DO NOT HIRE HER! I realize if you have no vision, no concerns of how things will end up, let her handle your event.

We realized around 7 months out that while we had booked some of the major things, we were overwhelmed and in over our heads, and she really saved the day and made it all possible - planning a wedding is a lot y'all!! Especially from out of state, whew! She helped us with finding quality vendors, keeping us on track/organized through her super helpful portal (which had sections for design planning, vendor contacts, budget, seating charts, to-do list, advice, etc), with a number of scheduled video calls and by checking in via email. We used zola for our website but I regret not going with her option to build a website for us because zola had a lot of frustrating limitations (couldn't even add links or bold things where we needed to). She had a helpful assistant through the prep process and an amazing, kind wedding day team who helped assemble my dream design elements. I'm a designer and made mockups of how I wanted things to look and uploaded pictures to the portal design studio, and they followed my vision so well!! And they even made one part look more tasteful than I had planned - loved it! Maybe more importantly, Andrea and her team basically made everything run smoothly, including packing up all the stuff we gave them to set out at the end of the night and dropping it off at my husband's dad's house since our venue was strict and needed everything out ASAP. What a relief to just show up to the wedding day (and leave) knowing all of those little details were being set up and taken care of - it was awesome! On the day-of, Andrea and her team were connected with the vendors with headsets, making everything run smoothly and communicating with the DJ about who was coming down the aisle for the songs to line up. She also helped us and the rest of the staff adjust and pivot after our ceremony went way overtime (we should've known, our rabbi loves the poetic details, which was beautiful in the moment, and my husband & I probably should've planned for more time knowing that lol). She helped us calm down after realizing how behind we were because she stayed so calm and collected, and calmly walked us through deciding what to shift for the rest of our timeline (we packed a lot of rituals in there). She also swooped in to help when I was having trouble with my makeshift dress bustle (she had worked at a bridal shop in the past - so amazingly helpful!) Andrea is so kind, calm, organized, approachable, and just nice to work with. She talked me through a few anxieties when I was overthinking things and in general, she was super patient with our moments of indecision and neurosis lol. I'm going to miss our rapport and check-ins, it was so nice knowing she had our backs throughout this whole process. Wedding planning is an overwhelming process, so having someone there for us like she was was a total game changer. She was there every step of the way and alleviated all of the wedding planning stress that she could. Andrea had a solution for everything that came up through the process. Even down to the end, like not having a cake stand for 2 of the cakes a day before the wedding. She came up with a substitute that was beautiful, matched the decor and no one was the wiser.
