During the installation, the line set was damaged, property was damaged and things left a mess. He attempted to give me a 2 foot piece of drop ceiling track when what was damaged was a 4 foot section, deeming this section useless. No attempt to replace the 2 damaged ceiling tiles. On top of the damage, the unit never worked properly. I've tried multiple times to have the company rectify the situation as everything is under warranty. It was never rectified last year and as of this year, the company came out and attempted to fix the issue and it did not work. I had a friend, that's works for a HVAC company, come over and check the numbers with his meter. He did not perform any work at all on the system, simply read the number to let me know that the reading wasn't within normal range. Chris, the owner of the company, told me that he was going to warranty my coil and replace it. He has made multiple lies to me with different dates and times he come out. I made sure to set aside time from work to be able to be here for him. He doesn't show up and completely stopped responding all together. I filed a complaint with the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. They have reached out on my behalf and he lied to them stating information that goes against the proof I have in all of the text messages. I have all the paper trail going all the way back to June 2024 when the install happened. It's all been through text messages and I have screenshots of everything. I'm currently without a working AC unit and had to borrow window units to get by in this heat. As of now, I am out a lot of money. I have since had an HVAC company come out and take a look at my system. I was informed, and have pictures, that the coil in my system isn't the right coil. I paid for a 2.5 ton coil and received a 1.5 ton coil. This was verified via serial number. On top of the coil being wrong size, it was improperly installed without the right size pan under it causing a major airflow issue. I have pictures of this as well. When looking into the warranty, he never registered the coil only the condenser, meaning that it is not under warranty. Regardless, it was the wrong size and I had to buy the proper coil for my unit. After having these issues I looked deeper into the company and the owner has been sued numerous times under his personal name, Top Tier Mechanical and his previous company name of Fresh Air Mechanical. It is a long list of small claims and fraud cases. It's all public knowledge, so do yourself a favor and stay far away from this company. If you do not believe me, search for yourself on the Wisconsin CCAP webpage. Thank you and I hope I saved you a long list of problems and headache.

He replaced a heating element and the charge was extremely reasonable. I was so impressed that with his promptness, work, and price that I made a note to use him exclusively, This week the water heater stopped working again. It is 15 years old and the life expectancy of water heaters is 10-15 years, so I thought I would have to replace it. I went to Home Depot which referred me to a service company 300 miles away. They said an electrical permit and an electrician would be required -- true, if it is a NEW installation. The extra $450 made me balk. I decide to call Clear Flo again, figuring there was always a chance that it might be something that could be repaired. Bryan made an appointment, called to say he would be a few minutes late. When he arrived, he immediately checked the circuit breaker (my first guess, too), then removed a small panel on the water heater, pushed a red button, and the problem was solved. Total charge: $0. Fantastic. I only wish I had more problems for him to solve

I have a service agreement w First Call, so I never have to wait long til they get to my house. I…read morerecently had problems w my AC not cooling the house, and I called them. They replaced the dual run capacitor, which takes about five minutes. Per our service agreement, they charged me $80 for the service call, and $150 for the capacitor and five minutes labor. I did some research and found this to be a common occurrence and price range fixing this type of problem. Although I believe the price is pretty steep, I am not horribly unhappy w the charge. I understand they have knowledge of fixing AC units that is not commonly held. I watched a You Tube video, and it is about 5 screws and a simple plug in device. I am a mechanical moron and could have done this myself. Had I known the exact problem, the part is about $25. Just sayin. I do highly recommend them, as they are quick and reliable.

Turns out that first call heating has a stellar crew and I am extremely happy with the work they did and the patience they had with my concerns. I haven't had to deal with new furnaces for a long time so they definitely did a good job on that. I don't know how they price compared to other shops because that's not something that you can really just look up or call and ask. After having a brief conversation with the owner on one of the issues I was facing concerning the warranty company he took the time to really break it down for me as to how they work and that my warranty company was the one that he chose to stay with. Over the years, he used to have a few others, but apparently they did not serve the customer very well (and them). I had a Lennox Elite installed and it's definitely a nice furnace...I just hope that it outlast the other brands out there. The warranty on parts and labor seem to be pretty comprehensive. What is also nice to know is that with first call heating and cooling, they have a very nice 100% satisfaction guarantee for the first year. The way that it was explained to me was if anything goes wrong at all, I don't pay a dime and they come out and fix the issue should there be one. I'll wrap this up by saying that when the crew comes out to your house to do an install, they are extremely polite, kind and very conscientious of what they're doing. I would highly recommend first call heating and cooling without a doubt.
