Only a couple cars were in sight. This was important. I had no plan to walk into an eyebrow shop facing stares by waiting ladies. I walked in and no one was there but the owner. I asked if she could thin my brow a bit. She said "I do mens brows all the time". True or false, I felt more comfy. I told her "I don't want lady brows"! She chuckled and said "No problem". She locked the front door and escorted me back to an adjoining room with a long face up lounger. I laid on the lounger and she commenced her craft, taking thread and weaving it around and within my brows. Pluck, pluck, pluck! It's not like a facial or massage. Every pluck is like a bee sting! On the positive side it only took about 4-5 minutes. She finished and passed me a mirror for self inspection of the work. Much better, but I asked her to revisit a few graying hairs. She kindly complied. She followed up with a quick solution for the subtle stinging sensation and sent me on my way. That's about the least expensive service a guy will find these days. $12 plus gratuity was the toll. This was a 5 star visit. Don't tell my golf buddies!

When it was my turn, I explained what I wanted and she quickly shaped them up. The result....perfect eyebrows--ahhhhh!!! I was relieved and elated! The price isn't bad either--$12. I figured it was because I forgot to take the pre-Ibuprofen I usually take but after a few more I said "the wax feels really sticky today, did y'all change formulas?" and "it's so painful" She replied with "it's because it's hot in here today" but kept going without changing anything. It seemed to take much longer than any other wax and when she'd try to grab a corner, she'd pinch my skin. She asked if it was good and I said yup! I didn't look, I just couldn't take any more. I went to the angel at the desk, checked out, said it was great and left a tip-because I've never stiffed someone in my life- and left. About an hour after I left, the pain became bonkers.
