I was very up front about my timeline and that I may not be able to purchase a dress from them, but they were still very helpful and accommodating. They also made sure to discuss my budget and tastes, and helped me pick dresses in my price range. As someone with very limited fashion knowledge, I appreciated the expertise given. They did everything possible to help me find a dress (and when I found one I liked, to see if we could get it in time). My experience at Lovely Bride was nothing short of perfect! If you are looking for a wedding dress in Chicago, do yourself a favor and book an appointment here. The entire experience, from shopping to picking up the dress was phenomenal. I booked an appointment to look at wedding dresses back in July. I really appreciated that when booking my appointment online there was a section to let the staff know about any special needs/issues - literally a "low down on drama" section! That made me instantly more comfortable since I was able to privately communicate a few delicate issues with the staff without having to share them with my everyone I was shopping with. My appointment was such a wonderful experience. Heather totally understood my vision for how I wanted to look on my wedding day, and was very mindful of my budget. She walked me through the store and helped me pick out a few to try on. I had gone dress shopping at another store before I found the salesperson at the shop to be really pushy and intense; Heather was the opposite! Picking out dresses with her felt very collaborative and comfortable. She showed me a dress that I initially felt a little lukewarm to but decided to try on, because "why not" - of course it ended up being the one! Every staff member I met there so was personable and made every member of my group feel comfortable, from my bridesmaids to my 86 year old grandma! I came back to Lovely two weeks ago to pick up my dress and had an amazing experience all over again! Melissa was so careful helping me into my dress, and even thought to bring me a veil to try on with it even though I did not purchase my veil from Lovely. Multiple stylists came back to see the dress on and were so kind and complimentary - the stylists at Lovely are clearly so passionate about wedding dresses, and it shows in the kind of attention they give their customers. I had a great experience at Lovely Bride. This was about the third bridal shop I had been to during my search, and I felt very taken care of here. Olivia was great - super knowledgable, friendly, and willing to talk me through the dresses I tried on (which surprisingly was key for me despite having friends there with me too). The store was super cute as well, although I wish the lighting in the try-on rooms was a little better. I saw no problem with the quality of the dresses I tried on, but even so, I would expect a little wear and tear at a bridal shop that's servicing so many customers. My second appointment at Lovely Bride was even better. Olivia humored me while I insisted on trying on a few new dresses after falling in love with one during my first appointment - just to make sure! She was able to tell me exactly what would be doable in terms of alterations, which really helped me envision what it would look like on my wedding day. Lovely Bride is amazing! They are very responsive and delightful to work with, not to mention fun! Jules, my fantastic stylist, helped me at two separate appointments to find my dress plus a final try-on. I ordered a dress from here and it was a rental. Unfortunately, the experience has been a painful one.

This salon was beautiful and had by far the highest quality dresses. Bri was my consultant. Before my appointment she wanted to connect so she knew what style I was looking at so she would have dresses in mind to pull. I'm pretty hands on and prepared for the appointment so I let her know the designers and specific styles I wanted. In my head there was a specific dress I thought would be the absolute winner. Don't get me wrong the dress was absolutely GORGEOUS. But she pulled another dress not on my list that stole the show! When she brought it in I honestly didn't think I would be a big fan. But on my body, dayumm. Everyone cried, even myself, who is not particularly emotional. We had a couple more appointments, so I wasn't ready to commit. She didn't pressure me. But honestly the other boutiques were a waste. We came back to lovely a couple days later and officially said yes to the dress. Thank you Bri for knowing my style and choosing the perfect dress that I honestly wouldn't have chosen for myself. Heather at Lovely Bride was wonderful to work with! The store is very cute with a great selection. I tried on several dresses at my first appointment and came back for a second appointment to try on my favorite dress again. I'm very indecisive and I never felt rushed, and Heather answered all my questions. I'm obsessed with my dress and so happy I bought it at Lovely Bride. My dress came in on time and is perfect and beautiful. As another reviewer stated, you do need an appointment, but this is completely fine (and to be expected) and they have plenty of availability. Lovely Bride was the first store where I tried on wedding dresses, so I'm writing this review after going to 6 more stores and eventually finding my dress elsewhere. 5 stars for Epiphany, my consultant. She was outstanding, asked lots of questions, took feedback based on what I was liking and not liking and was extremely patient. She also did an amazing job clipping back the dresses and showing me how things could be altered. Since this was my first store, I had no clue what dresses would look good on me and she was just so understanding and patient as I got disappointed in the way certain styles looked on me that I had put on my "wishlist" and thought were beautiful on the website. Based on the styles that ended up looking good on me, this store wasn't a great fit. I would absolutely recommend this store for a girl who is trendy, boho, interested in fit and flare/sheath style dresses, or something simple as they have lots of gorgeous dresses without any embellishment. I took away one star for the condition of the sample gowns. As this is a super popular dress destination for brides, the dresses naturally get tried on many times. It's probably very difficult to clean the sample gowns, so I'm understanding of that, but it is a point of improvement as other salons in the area had gowns to try on that weren't as "worn". Overall, it was a great experience and I thought Epiphany was absolutely wonderful, just wasn't the store for me. read more

Dresses are beautiful and unique but I stopped in just to see some of the dresses and ask about making an appointment and they kicked me out saying I "couldn't browse the dresses"......it was very off-putting. I wasn't harming anything or in anyone's way. I highly recommend Heather! My future sister in law and I were greeted on time with champagne/ drinks and then escorted into a large, comfortable and luxurious fitting room. Christine was disinterested, maybe 35% awake. The dresses were DIRTY. AS. DUMPSTERS. They did not have multiple sizes and were not accommodating to my wishes at all. My MOH and I had a really wonderful experience at Lovely with our bridal assistant, Nathaniel! The shop is adorable and they offer you delicious (and super cute!) sparkling wine options the moment you walk in. Nathaniel took us on a "tour" to browse through the dresses, which were perfectly displayed so you could get a great look at each one. Nathaniel was very helpful and knowledgeable about the dresses. Lovely was everything I ever dreamt of! My stylist was Samantha, she was super calm and knew her stuff! We first set up a zoom meeting and went over of what to expect and she was able to answer my questions prior to the in person appointment. The day of, I went with my parents and we were in our own private fitting room. Samantha slowly brought over the dresses in my wishlist and helped me get in and out of each dress- she did not pressure me in the order of the dresses I tried on and at one point offered a veil and a small bouquet of flowers to add to the look! HOW AMAZING! With that being said, I tried on about 10 dresses- my final two Samantha asked if I was interested in trying on the dresses multiple times to help decide. I left lovely with the one!! Prior to leaving, allll my measurements were made, Samantha also allowed me to be involved in finalizing the size of my dress because I was in between sizes which I appreciated! I went wedding dress shopping at 4 different bridal shops and Lovely was hands down the best experience. All of the employees were so sweet and SO GOOD at clipping you into dresses so you could get a good sense of what the dress would actually look like after alterations. The other places I went really struggled with this. Dress selection was great. I went to five bridal salons over the course of two days and Lovely was where I ended up buying my dress! With just 2.5 months to spare before my wedding, most any gown needed to be rushed and because of this the selection was limited - but luckily, I found an amazing gown here with the rush option available. My Lovely stylist wasn't all that informative, often times relying on the other stylists to explain things or give me a quick confidence boost but I had a crew of my own to help with that part so it wasn't a deal breaker. Everything was otherwise pretty smooth and I was happy with my experience! In the end there was a hiccup with the designer and after some panic - my dress didn't arrive until a week before my wedding!! The Lovely team was apologetic (and probably very grateful that I was such a chill bride) and were able to give me an amazing tailor referral who was able to work their magic quickly. I'd recommend booking an appointment here - and also recommend shopping for your dress as early as possible! read more

I've been to 7 bridal shops throughout Gold Coast, Lincoln Park, north side and one suburban place as the MOB. Lovely Bride, by far, had the most shopworn and dirtiest selections (lots of makeup stains, yellowed, torn) and shabbiest furnishings in what was supposed to be a nice fitting room. Our scheduled appointment was missing from their system so they sent us away and we had to come back at a later time. The sales person was aloof and disinterested and provided no assistance when it came to the actually trying on the dresses. Her lack of enthusiasm for the bride spilled over to the mood of the whole party. This was our first day of shopping so much was unknown on bride's part. The price point requested was on lower end, so when options were few we asked to go more expensive. But the sales person wouldn't do that because it was over the requested budget. I thought the customer sets the budget, not the store. The only reason two stars were given was because the store did stay open later for us to accommodate the mix up in scheduling. There are many bridal shops to choose from, would not recommend this one to anyone. read more

Eeek! I can't even express how enjoyable my experience was. The boutique is perfectly described in its name: Lovely. Maura, our stylist, was warm and welcoming, making us all feel comfortable right away. Trying on dresses is such a fun exciting time, however, I am far from a model, so going into it can also be nerve-wracking and slightly intimidating. Lovely Bride was far from intimidating. I told Maura the styles I was looking for beforehand, and she brought over all dresses that I had in my mind exactly. She also had me try on dresses I may not have chosen for myself if I saw them on the hanger but still went with the "theme" I am going for. I have booked my second appointment to try on my two favorites again, and will hopefully say Yes to the dress at that time! Looking forward to going back and sipping on their yummy peach champagne!
