Price was absolutely great and my stylist gave an incredible shampoo + blowdry. Salon was absolutely adorable when you walk in & the energy was very uplifting. I was drawn to Kindred Curl because Kelly focuses exclusively on cutting wavy and curly hair. This made me feel comfortable getting my first dry curly cut. Before I started going to Kelly I would leave every hair appointment feeling disappointed, but I leave Kindred Curl feeling confident. Kelly knows exactly how to give you the best cut for your texture, length, and face shape. Kelly is committed to continuing her education and regularly attends classes on the best treatments and latest cutting techniques for curly hair. Kindred Curl has a welcoming salon environment and Kelly's two dogs are adorable and well behaved. I look forward to visiting with them every time I get my hair cut.

The salon owner is aggressive and pushy. If you don't mind being talked about to other clients when you aren't in the room, you won't be bothered by the vibe. Also, you must love dogs! The owner let's her two dogs have free reign in the salon. Often allowing them to sit on clients laps during a service. She is easily distracted by them resulting in neglect of her clients hair needs.

The owner and head stylist, Kelley, had the last appointment free in 90 minutes, so come on by. Excellent. It's a little shop tucked across from the Giant Eagle (don't park in their lot!), with a comfy waiting area. Kelley called me over for the consult and just got it immediately. Not only that but she was enthusiastically on board with what I wanted. I had had a bad cut from a different salon previously and told her all the ways I didn't want to hold onto that shape, as well as what I did want. An hour later my hair was all over the floor in a ring of the fallen, and my hair looked AMAZING. All the texture and layers and movement I missed was there again. Seriously a great haircut. And she even passed on her car mechanic's info (contextually - I needed on and she was talking about it). Really aces.
