The pizza here is always top notch. The coal fired reminds me of black sheep, but without having to go downtown. This is one of the best pizza options out here in the burbs. Pepperoni, ricotta, basil, all delicious, especially the pepperoni. It was perfectly fired to have a little char but wasn't burned and wasn't underdone. The pizza here isn't cheap, but it is really good!
These unique pizzas are a must try! I would highlighly recommend trying a special pizza! The curated flavors created a delicious dish. The seating area had old fashioned booths that made my group comfortable and chatting for longer than expected. The service at Love Pizza was personal and welcoming, but you could tell they had a busy saturday night. There were a few ingredients they had run out of and the tables were not replenished with more forks. My favorite was The Sarge. The pickle favor complemented the hot honey and pepperoni extremely well. A salad and two pizzas was more than enough for a party of 4 and we even took home leftovers.I am excited to come back and try more of their pizza flavors!
ordered love pizza from Uber eats 2-3 times now and I'm always flustered by the mixed reviews. the pizzas are absolutely delicious & the perfect shareable for 2 with a salad or appetizer added. the focaccia is a must order & please for the love of pickles order the sarge - it is seriously delicious. I don't know anything about the ambiance or service, but I do know the food is great, even with a 30 minute drive.

Features two styles and sizes 10" "Bar" and 16" "Coal Fired"..these are "East Coast" styled pizzas and BOTH are very good and spot on to their East Coast counterparts. Ingredients are fresh and homemade, and the staff is extremely friendly. Visit weekly when we can!
Artisanal takeout pizza with premium ingredients located right in Golden Valley Minnesota. I put in an order to go for the chicken pizza called where the Truffalo Roam. I also got an order of their meatballs and spent about $51 with tip. Now I know what you're thinking that's really expensive for pizza and I would agree except, these are not your every day run-of-the-mill pizza. Love pizza provides a pizza experience and pushes the envelope of what can and cannot be put on a pizza. I appreciated that they do coal-fired and bar style 'za, both with a light crust and focus on letting the ingredients do the talking. **Did I mention they partnered with Milk Jam Creamery and also sell some of their most popular pints!
Finally decided to try something different for dinner. Have been wanting to try this new spot that took over smash burger. Fast Fresh & Delicious.
Pizza was the plan tonight for a kid free evening... Nate did a build your own option as a Coal Fire Pizza... and for me... Meatballs with a side of ranch. Not going to lie was somewhat sticker shocked when it was time to check out seeing they add their own 12% gratuity to your total (for pick up) but again wanted to give it a try and another thing to add is for toppings on your whole pizza is $5 per item not the $2.50 as stated on the menu.. so having sausage and pepperoni on his whole pizza was $10.. But lets get to the food! Nate's pizza was a hella good size and can def feed 2 people. Keep in mind there is no option for extra cheese when you do a build your own or sauce if you want to add extra on the app. He thought it was good. And mine... I had ordered meatballs cause i was in a mood for some good meatballs and a previous reviewer said it was worth possibly coming back for... Sadly 3 out of the 5 were burnt... ranch was good but for the size... not worth the $3 Not sure I'd make the drive back out there for Love Pizza.
A 3.83 rating- this pizza place has a lot of potential but I felt that the dough was a tad bit tough, the cheese and sauce proportion was a little shy, and the pizza altogether was a tad bit saltier than many I had tried. I had the dill pickle, pepperoni with hot honey pizza. I couldn't really taste the hot honey aspect and though I respected the bold flavors the pie offered - the sauce, cheese, to topping proportion is a bit uneven which doesn't necessarily make a harmonious explosion in your mouth. The toppings flavor definitely overpowered the dough, sauce, and cheese. It's a nice option to have nearby but if these elements can be improved then it would make the pizza outstanding. Still good but can improve on many elements.
I had no idea about this little Golden Valley gem until yesterday and to say I have sorely been missing out is an understatement. The pizza is sublime, the sauce is magical and don't even get me started on the crust! We were in pizza heaven. They even have GF crust so hubs could enjoy as well! Even more, you get a glass of wine or a rotating beer for a penny while you wait...yep one cent! I can't even. Can't even tell you how great the staff was, they were incredibly helpful, cheery and wonderful! The staff alone made me want to come back again and again! Now the bad news, they have standing tables, which is a bit of a bummer and they are a tad pricey (well worth the cost in my opinion). Neither are deal breakers for us but a little bit meh. We will be returning to this super clean, light filled gem in Golden Valley!
Pizza was great, we tried the cheese pizza coal fired and the read the room bar pizza. We were a little shocked at the price tag, but we will be going back as it's a nice local treat for pizza. There is limited seating, from what I saw today, it was only the patio for seating and the inside had high tops with no chairs. Due to this reason, we will only be ordering takeout. They had MilkJam ice cream available which was nice to take home and have as a dessert later!
I'm strongly of the opinion that pizza is one of the most overpriced things you can get when eating out so it's hard for me to say: I think the coal fired pizza was worth $25. First I gotta shout out the staff who were incredibly friendly and helpful. I think they mainly do takeout because the dining space is relatively small but still feels open thanks to the huge windows. They've got one big TV that was showing the history channel? We split 3 things between 4 people and definitely didn't need the 3rd pizza, as delicious as it was. Coal Fired: The crust and bake are the most important part of a pizza and they nailed it here on both counts. It had a nice fermented flavor but wasn't tangy or "raw" at all. The bake was perfect. Crispy on the bottom and rim with nice leoparding (spots) but the crust interior was pillowy soft and just chewy enough. The overarching theme is "salty" in the the best way. I love salty foods and they use a lot of low-moisture, aged cheeses that amp that aspect up. Bar Pizza: This was pretty good, but felt like it didn't know if it should be deep dish or tavern? Wasn't quite as thin as a midwest tavern so you didn't get the crispy bottom I love, but wasn't thick enough to give the nice, fluffy focaccia chew. Crispy edges were amazing, though, as you'd expect. The middle got really soupy and if you wanted something topping-heavy like "The Sarge" I can see it turning a coal-fired version into floppy mush. It still hurts my soul paying ~$30 for a pizza, even 16", but this is a place I would go to with friends for a special occasion and split a pie or two. Plus they have seasonal cannoli! 5 stars for surpassing my expectations. read more
I have seen this place several times and had been meeting to try it out. We finally decided to stop by and try it out. Key thing is they charge an automatic 20% gratitude for all dining in. I have mix feelings about it. The pizza though are fairly priced and very delicious . My favorite is the sarge bar pizza. Super yummy! It's a cute shop inside and the staff are super friendly. We got cannolis to go and they were very good. Would definitely recommend . read more
We tried a pair of bar style pizzas and loved the crispy cheese edges on the pies. We had the IYKYK - Aged salami, house garlic butter, onion mix (no house tomato sauce) and the Southsider - Sausage and Giardiniera - that giardiniera was crunchy and nicely spicy. We also tried the meatballs which were good, but still a step down from The Red Wagon's beef and lamb meatballs. read more

Love Pizza is an absolute gem! Their coal-fired pizzas are incredibly delicious, with a perfectly crispy crust and mouthwatering toppings. The place has a fantastic atmosphere, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend! read more

Staff was very friendly. We ordered a pepperoni pizza from their coal fire. The crust was burnt and ashy. The salad dressing wasn't very good, but their croutons were delicious! Overall, it wasn't tasty and also overpriced. read more

The coal fire was great. I did a build your own with mushroo, garlic, and ricotta. The amount of mushrooms is honestly embarrassing. Just go to Black Sheep instead. Also crazy that they don't just already have a mushroom pizza or other vegetarian pizza that isn't just plain cheese. read more

For a quiet Friday night with my girlfriend we decided to hit the local pizza joint up. We did a customized coal fire with Pepperoni, Fenal Sausage, and Black Truffle Oil. I will say the Pizza was amazing. I've recommended to a few others and they had the same top notch experience read more

As a Pizza Lover, I had to try Love Pizza. To best compare "Apples to Apples", I always try a plain cheese pizza first at any new pizza place. I had the 16" Triangle cheese pizza and it was good. Served Hot , it had good flavor and texture and I particularly liked that the sauce was not overly sweet. Also tried the meatballs, which were really delicious!! They'd definitely be the enticing factor for me to go back. What I didn't love about Love Pizza was the elaborate packaging, which is definitely adding to the cost. Do we really need pretty white and blue striped pizza boxes with light blue patterned logo stickers? Nope, it's pizza people! And I'm not a fan of having free wine for people who are waiting to pickup their pizza. Who's paying for that wine? I am, but I'm not drinking it!!! If someone wants wine, they can pay for it!! And what the ___ is up with the "TAKE OUT SERVICE CHARGE" of 12 % ?? What?? NO! Don't add a hidden charge (to make up for elaborate packaging and free wine). Just tell me the ACTUAL price for the food that I'm purchasing! So overall review: Good pizza, great meatballs, overpackaged, overcharged, but worth trying. read more

There are so many pizza places in Golden Valley and for this place to make it they need to drastically reduce the price of their pies. 4 adults we ordered 2 pizzas. The Ifykyk was a solid 2 and the "read the room" maybe a 3. The pizzas don't have much taste beside the burnt crust. This usually isn't necessarily bad, but when there is no complimentary flavors happening the result is a disappointing bite. For $58 pickup we will not be returning. They do have 1 cent beer or wine while you wait which is neat, but I was there for the pizza. Honestly dominos or a good frozen pizza is better. read more
