While I was satisfied with how my nails ultimately looked, quality is only one part of a salon experience. Time and customer service matter too. Four hours for hands and feet is essentially half of a workday, in addition to the cost of the services. I arrived with a damaged toenail and specifically asked if that could be addressed first because it was my main concern. What was especially frustrating was that after already being there for hours, I was asked to wait even longer while the technician cleaned her station before I could leave. I contacted the salon privately before posting a review because I have been a loyal customer and wanted to give them an opportunity to address my concerns. Their explanation was that I had booked with a "regular master" rather than a "Top Master," that technicians work at different speeds, and that their policy does not allow refunds for completed services. I understand that technicians have different levels of experience and that a damaged nail can require additional attention. However, if booking with a regular master can potentially turn a manicure and pedicure into a four-hour appointment, I believe clients should be made aware of that when booking. I wasn't asking them to pretend the nail work was bad--it wasn't. I was asking them to recognize that the overall experience and excessive amount of time were not reasonable. After being a repeat customer, I expected a more meaningful effort to make the situation right. Unfortunately, I left feeling that my time and loyalty were simply not valued.
