$80 for Gel & Regular Pedicure The nail technician was very sweet and detail oriented. She only spoke spanish which is fine, if you do not speak spanish you may have difficulties communicating. The place is extremely small. I went to the back where I sat in a chair and placed my feet in a bucket. No music playing til 30 minutes into getting my pedicure, kind of awkward. Plenty of gel selections but only around 10 colors for dip which is what I booked for. I ended up getting gel. I would not book with them again because the prices are too high in my opinion. I spend $78 at Mira Nail Bar for DIP + PEDICURE including (massage chairs, pedicure tub with disposable bags for each client, complimentary drinks, hot towel, music, tv and more space.) My technician told me to cashapp $70 but then her coworker said $80... Prices seem to vary. read more

The tech had no clue how to do a dip manicure and used acrylic dip powder which ended up discoloring the color dip. I had thick discolored nails after all the hours I spent there from 10am to 1pm. Horrible! Then when it was time to pay they offered me a $10 discount. I will never return. The manicure pedicure table set up is very uncomfortable. You can't even move your chair back or forth. I am a loyal fan, and my experience this past Sunday was proof of why. I went to get some much-needed pampering for my nails. Unfortunately, I suffer from syncope and within a few minutes into the pedicure, I had a seizure and fainted. My nail technician panicked, and I woke up from my blackout surrounded by people. One of the customers, a very nice lady, shoved some sugar down my throat and the employees provided me with some of their lunch, which was an apple (I felt terrible taking their food!), but they didn't want me to pass out again. I started feeling better, although Lucia, the technician, was a little...frightened. I started feeling a bit queasy at that point, even though my blood sugar had gone up, and she offered me to lie down for a bit. Every few minutes, she'd check on me, and same when I went to the restroom to freshen up. Jackie, another employee, gave me her Dunkin' Donuts coffee, which she had just purchased for herself, and the customer went and bought me an orange juice. I felt like all these people went above and beyond their responsibility in making sure I was ok, and at no point did they kick me out or try to get rid of me. I am very grateful for all this attention, though embarrassed because I hate calling attention to myself. Some walk-ins came, and I felt bad that Lucia could not tend to them because of me and what turned out to be a 2 hour ordeal, but she did not seem to mind. She did admit she rushed in doing my fingernails for fear I'd faint again, but it wasn't for any other reason. I really appreciated her patience, and although I probably won't show my face for a while due to being mortified with my personal issues, I will remember them (and hope they forget about me, or at least, about my issues!) the next time I need to get my nails taken care of. Great Mani and Pedi every time I go. Everybody is super nice too. I do gel and it last 2 weeks without a problem. Iris normally do my mani/pedi, she is a sweetheart and very patience with me. She is very detailed and make sure my polish looks perfect and she cleans up the edges to make it look impecable. They also have a hairstylist that is great, she did Botox in my hair and I am obsessed, she also did my blow dry and curls for a wedding and I love it, the curls came out exactly like I ask her, beachy waves. Normally I always go to the same salon, but I recently moved and they weren't picking up the phone so I thought I might try something new since I really needed a pedi. My first impression was that I had stepped into a large closet that someone had converted into a salon. There's someone getting their hair done maybe 6 inches from the front door, and a nail table not much further away. You go down a small hallway to pick your color, and then a further hallway is full of chairs (just a cut above regular chairs - not proper pedicure chairs with massage/attached tub) where they're doing feet, and there a small room at the end where there's a combination of random things. If you've ever bought a fake handbag in Chinatown in NYC, you kind of get the idea. I kind of felt like "where are they taking me?". It also became immediately clear that my nail tech spoke ZERO English. Like not even enough to ask or answer basic questions. Now I speak Spanish. But there are plenty of people that don't, and if you're in a service business you need to at least learn the very elementary things you might have to ask/answer to your customers. As mentioned, they don't use proper pedicure chairs, so it's just a tub of warm-ish water that they fill up from the sink. It kind of feels like when you have a sleepover at a friends house and she does your nails - except we're not friends and this isn't free. The cherry on top was that the nail tech cut the hell out of one of my toes (one entire side of my big toe was bleeding) and then just sprayed me with hydrogen peroxide. They also don't dry your polish after your pedi, and charge the $25 that most other places do, more or less. It's a shame as everyone was nice - Carlos, the owner, even asked me how it was as I was paying but all I wanted to do was get out of there (you pay in the same small hallway where all the polishes are). Needless to say, next time I'll stick with my usual place. It's worth the bit of extra trek and potential wait. read more

Customer service was excellent, small place not your typical spa set up but the service makes up for it. I walked in with no appointment, was able to get a spa pedicure with shellac. The massage was amazing! The lady massaged my knees and lower thighs! Very relaxing experience, as a treatment nurse I'm on my feet alot and I really needed the nice strong massage. I know little spanish and the tech knew little English but it did not interfere with the experience. I would definitely come again. And price was reasonable. Ok, so I usually don't review a business after only one visit, but I was so pleased with the excellent customer service, this review is literally the first thing I did once got home. I called yesterday to make an appointment and booking was fast and easy. When I walked in, the owner Carlos greeted me with a huge smile and told me he was very happy I was there. He verified what service I wanted (just a gel polish change) and introduced me to Legia who was the sweetest lady. This was my first gel polish removal and change so I knew I had to soak a bit. She took the polish off gently (I've heard some horror stories about this process) and my nails still looked good after the polish was gone. From there she painted my nails and did an excellent job. She was very sweet and even offered to add some glitter (YASS!) to my a couple of my nails. As I was getting my manicure, Carlos and his staff greeted everyone who came in with the same smile and courtesy I received. When I was finished both Carlos and Legia thanked me for my business and said they hoped to see me again. Well they definitely will see me again, because Nails, etc rocks! read more

Nails, Etc. came to the rescue recently when I was in desperate need of a pedicure before I went on a weekend cruise, but needed a place that was quick, cheap, and good. Nails, Etc. fulfilled 2 of my 3 criteria, and for that they get 4 stars. The place is non-descript, to say the least. Located in a strip mall on Biscayne just north of my office, it's right next to the Verizon store. One bonus - plenty of free parking! The location is small - with a couple manicure tables, up front, the pedicure chairs in the hallway, and some salon stuff in the back. My technician was very attentive, and gave my tootsies a much-needed makeover. I was hoping to get in and out in under an hour (since I was on my lunch break), but alas, it took about an hour and 15 minutes from start to finish. I'd definitely attribute some of that time to the condition of my nails, as it'd been a little bit since my last pedicure. I went for the French, and it was $30 total ($25 for the pedicure +$5 for the French), so definitely reasonably priced. I noticed they do a $35 mani/pedi special, and made note for future reference. Totally unexpected to find this place around the corner - the sign is hard to see and the place is a bit tight and small - but the service and people are super welcoming and friendly! It felt like family there. I came in only for a wax, but somehow left with an awesome ombre look that's been getting me compliments for days... I've thought about doing it for a while but was nervous to ruin my long hair. No worries though! I made an appointment for a manicure and was barely acknowledged when I arrived. There was no place to sit and wait so I stood in the vestibule area for a while before being guided to a seat. 15 minutes went by with out a word or look from anyone. Finally I got up and asked what was going on and was told it would be another 10 minutes or so before they would be able to start. Isn't that what appointments are for? No one cared in the least.
