Honestly I have gone here twice. The first time was really bad and then I tried it again. This time there was a roach crawling on the floor who the manicurist sprayed with alcohol to kill it. I chose a color (Fiji) which I have had done many times. It came out extremely uneven and looks like the worst pedicure I have ever had. I wish I could post pictures so you could see what I mean (Maybe I can, will try to do that now)...then she stated she usually doesnt even do that color because its too difficult...well maybe you should take it off the shelf then. My shellac mani looked like a thick, uneven disaster too. The price isnt bad but honestly next time ill take $25 to calle ocho and get a better mani/pedi. On a whim I decided that I wanted a manicure. It was a Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm and I knew every salon that I normally go to would be booked for the afternoon. I was in the Midtown area so I looked on Yelp for some salons and started calling around to see who had some availability at that moment. Many of the salons were booked solid and would not be able to see me till much later. Nails Etc. told me they had availability so I made my way over. It took me a couple of minutes to actually find the salon, and when I did I wasn't impressed by how small it was. I didn't really mind since this was a spur of the moment manicure so I couldn't complain. I was told to choose what color I wanted and I was a bit disappointed that the salon did not offer any of the new O.P.I. Or Essie colors. I decided on an Essie color I've used before and sat down for my manicure. All was going well until the manicurist went to buff my nails. I suppose she wasn't holding it at a proper angle and when she went to buff my nail she cut me several times above the nail on my finger. It began to bleed badly and she acted as if it wasn't that big of a deal. What really upset me about the whole thing was her lack of concern that she cut me. I finished my manicure and got out of there as soon as I could. The manicure itself wasn't bad and it lasted me for quite a bit, but it was the utter disregard for cutting me that makes me give this place 2 stars. Reasons like this is why I normally don't just go to any salon for my hands and hair. I've learned my lesson and I don't plan on visiting Nails Etc. again. read more

I want to give this place fewer stars but my shellac manicure actually lasted and was OK. However, there is no reception or person to greet you or guide you when you come in. I thought I came in through a wrong entrance since I walk into a room full of table and chairs full of people getting their nails done. They charged me to remove my shellac polish which was almost off anyway. They didn't even tell me that I was going to be charged. It was my first time here and I think that was a great way for them to deter me from ever returning! No sense of customer service. The polish selection was good but they didn't use all Shellac products even though I was using a Shellac color. They mixed with Gelish which is a "no no". I've been doing gel polish since its inception years ago and I hate when salons are cheap and mix base/top coats w/ other brands. Not coming back here. read more

I been going there for at least a year, i do everything there i go there to do my full waxing, facial great price, i get my hair blow dry it is the best in town reina takes her time but my hair stays straight as long as i want until i wash again it is a must try, she also did my color twice and it came out really good. i love my mani/pedi they are so sweet and nice to me, my nails look good always .. if i go some where else i feel guilty. they are open seven days a week so give them a try read more

If you're looking for the "fancy shmancy" salon then this isn't the place for you. It's a little crowded but it's cheap and they do a great job. Sylvia did a gel manicure, normal pedicure, and full bikini wax on me. She took her time with everything and my nails came out wonderful. My total was $100 for everything. You can't beat that and have as good of service. I will definitely be returning soon. read more

Was in the area and checked this place out for a much needed mani/pedi. When i went i was the only person there so i was attended to right away. They have a nice selection of Essie and Opi, which are my faves, plus some other brands in case you don't like any of those choices. My technician was very nice but a bit talkative, but I rather have a sweet person than a dull person pampering me for 1 1/2 hr. The manicure section is right in the front of the salon which was not a problem. The problem was the pedicure section. It's in the hallway between the front and the back of salon. They don't have the spa chair, so it was kinda uncomfortable to raise and lower your legs. Not very relaxing, especially since in the back room the other tech was watching some spanish soap opera, and you know that drama is not relaxing. My nails came out ok, i've had better, but i really liked my nail tech, she was very sweet. The prices were a little high for my taste. Mani 15, Pedi 25 and that was not a french style. they also have facials starting at 45, full leg/bikini line 50, eyebrows 13 and hair services. read more

I came here once and had a warm welcoming from who I think was the manager/owner. Unfortunately, I found this place a bit too late. I lived just a few minutes away and would have definitely came here again if I still lived in the area. Anyways, on with this review. I came in for gel mani/pedi on a Sunday. I called to make sure they were open and came a few minutes later. The manager/owner recognized my voice and name (from previous phone call) and greeted me by Name. I was attended right away. I believe most of the staff are Colombians, I love their accent so I just enjoyed hearing them speak lol. The manicurist did a great job on my hands. She was very detail oriented and completely cleared my hands and nails of any dead skin. I chose a lavender color which at the end came out a bit different from my hands and feet because I only get gel on my hands. However, that tends to happens and it really doesn't bother me much. They have a good big collection of nail Polish color so that wasn't a problem. The pedicure wasn't done on a grand pedicure chair, she had to fill up a bucket and bring it over. The chair itself was comfortable though. I really appreciated the fact that right after she used the instruments she placed them in the sterilizer. She didn't do a great job on my feet through. The polish wasn't cleaned off the side of my toe nails, she just left it at that. The pricing is good. Staff are all sweet and it's a cozy clean salon. read more

I really liked this place! I went it today to get my acrylic nails removed and then a mani/pedi. Ligia was my nail tech and even though she normally doesn't remove acrylic nails, she did her best! My nails look awesome! She was very nice, and for the first time in a very long time I felt like my nail tech really cared about my nails as if they were hers. I had a horrible experience here. First of all, I was told someone was available to do my nails upon arriving and then was told 5 more mins. for the next 15 mins. The pedicure water was luke warm and the pedicure area very unbecoming. Nobody there speaks any English at all, it is Spanish only. BUT the worse thing that happened (and I hope the owner reads this) was my nail tech called me names in Spanish, thinking that I didn't understand her. When I asked her to file a little more, she called me a "puta and punta". When I asked her to repeat what she said, she acted shy all of a sudden. read more

I have been a patron of Nails etc for a few years now. What I like most about them is they maintain their appointments time very efficiently. They will not overbook and will not accept appointments if their technicians are busy. Their customer service is excellent. Sorry, I wish I had better things to say. Super snug place. 3 chairs lined up back to back in a narrow hallway. The main area holds 4 tables. My experience was just below average. I was surprised when they whipped out the kitchen beater with a pumice like attachment to exfoliate our feet. Sorry, but Betty Crocker should stay in the kitchen. I was stuck in the middle of a conversation between the nail tech to my right and left of me. I chose to go with the gel polish and it was ok at best. I paid by credit card left. Before I left the parking lot the owner came to my car to tell me he had charged me incorrectly. Really??? Thanks for the experience but I'll pass. read more

Very impressed! I had been looking for a place near where I live that doesn't cost a fortune & saw all the great reviews on yelp. I called & was able to get an appointment right away. Everyone was very friendly & welcoming. Lulu, my technician was wonderful. She spent time helping me pick out my color, even painting on her own manicured nail to show me the colors. She spent almost 45 minutes removing my polish (long story-had dipping powder + gel from a previous manicure) & was very patient, smiling the whole time. I saw some negative reviews regarding technicians that only speak Spanish. As someone who only speaks English, I struggle with this A LOT in Miami. I can guarantee you that is not a problem here. Everyone around me seemed to be bilingual & if there had been an issue the owner & most technicians speak great English if translation was necessary. Speaking of the owner, Carlos was very nice & attentive, even asking me if I wanted a blanket when he noticed I was cold. Will definitely be going back! read more
