Today I visited the salon for a fill and pedicure. Like any time Ive come here I know that I'm not coming to a luxury salon and it's very fast paced. They get their people in and out so they can get to the next dollar in faster or at least that's how you are treated at this establishment. Being an aesthetician myself & working with clients in the beauty industry I understand as a boss and artist that my customers needs always come first. But this was not the case at this salon. I came in. I was not greeted with any warm hello. I was taken for my pedicure it was fast and besides the language barrier Julie did an amazing job. Now for my fill, i was seated with a young girl who I'm unsure of her experience with nails but she asked for what i wanted, i showed her a picture and she applied this color that took five coats and still wasn't a solid color it was very blotchy and was not what i asked for. She then claimed it was because i was moving? Which was not true as i had my show on specifically to stay still. She then proceeded to say she showed me the color before starting and she did not. I also would not know how it applies??? If she knew it applied like this why is she using it? She just said "oh that's funny bunny!" And started to apply it. She was going to leave it blotchy the way it was and start adding the French over it but I stopped her here because at this point it's been two hours and the nails are not looking the way i asked for. I was not upset. I just told her to finish me up so I can go and I did not want to add the French anymore. When I got to the front and the lady was checking me out, she quoted me $120. I asked her what she can do because this is not the color that I asked for and now I'm going to have to pay for a color change somewhere else so if they could please at least take the color change price off so that I'm not completely dissatisfied with my nails. It seemed to be really hard for any of the technicians bombarding the host desk to care about the position I was in and try to come to a solution. I had explained to them I too am a beauty technician and what's important for me is my customer being satisfied with their service and if not, I do anything I can to resolve the issue. They did not care. They literally just want your money. How do you argue with your customer and tell them they are wrong when all they are asking for is a resolution to receiving a bad job on their nails ??? It's never the customers fault and i think the way this establishment is being run is the exact reason they have a 3 star rating. I would not come here. Found this place through a coworker who lives in the area. The place offers unbeatable prices! They have free parking and the service was fast. My usual place canceled on me last minute, and I was able to call in for a same day appointment on a Friday after work. I was greeted immediately by a technician and she promptly started the service. They have a vast array of colors to choose from and I was able to pick out my usual color(Funny Bunny) The only thing I wasn't crazy about was that my nail tech cut me several times while doing my manicure. Also, she polished my cuticles and I had to ask her to please clean around the edges before using the LED lamp. I would probably try this place again hopefully I can get another nail tech. I'm giving this salon 1 star because of the horrible work that they do. From hair to nails. I continued to go to this salon because of how cheap it was in regards to nail service but today was the last straw. I don't know where to start. Maybe I can start with how 1 year ago I went in for a cut and the lady completely butchered my hair. Only for me to find out she didn't even know how to cut hair and they let her do it just to get the sale. Or maybe how I went on nov 12th for dip powder gel which according to google should last atleast 5 weeks and by the 12th day 4 nails had fallen out. 2 of which fell within the first week. Save yourself the headache, time & stress. The 20 dollars you save on service isn't worth it. To the owners response. It was a total of 4 nails that completely came off within 12 days. 2 of which actually fell within the first 5 days and I was on a trip so I could not go to the salon and had to pay to get them fixed elsewhere. The other 2 fell off on the 8th day. All of which I explained to you. Policy or not that is a HORRIBLE job on your teams side. As an owner your main priority is to ensure that your work is impeccable or Atleast a decent job. I didn't ask for the salon to cover the cost but the response bothered me so much that this review was needed. Not once was I disrespectful. If you don't like the truth that's a personal problem. I'm a wardrobe stylist from New York and I was in town with a celebrity client of mine and we came here for a last minute acrylic set. The service was very slow, it took 3 hours for them to add a full set with a plain nude color. Later the same day one of the nails broke in half and the polish wasn't dry so it smudged. So for the next week, since we were filming a project for 6 days, we couldn't go back to fix them but I called and the manager was aware of the situation. 7 of the 10 bails broke or fell off and we kept having to glue them on and it was a complete mess. So I call a week later for them just to take the set off and the manager was very aggressive and not willing to help out. "I dont care about your client and I've never heard of them so I will not fix them for you" and he continued on to say he will not do anything for us. Great salon! I live close and have walked over quite a few times for "in-betweens" from my regular salon. However those "in-betweens" are becoming more regular and I have a favorite tech or two now. The girls are all sweet and it shows when people enjoy their work. As a Miami girl whose speaks Spanglish, the girls here usually only speak Spanish. Just a heads up, no big deal. Also tips are in cash only. I love their color choices, all Essie and OPI. They have lots of different specials. 30$ mani-pedis, gel nails etc. I even jumped and had them wax my eyebrows today!
