It's such an intimate and beautiful space with great music for ambiance. Our server Angel was so sweet. Everyone was very attentive and it felt like a family. The chef even came to greet us at the end of the meal. Such a nice touch. Now for the food. WOW! We ordered just about one of everything. It's all made to order right there in a gorgeous outdoor grill. My favorite was the sausage. It came w a perfect sauce and grilled sourdough. The chicken thighs are the juiciest and most tender I've ever had. I should've ordered more. The grilled short ribs were my next favorite, they have a nice mesquite taste. I'm not a seafood lover but I tried the paella and it didn't taste fishy at all. It was fresh and really captured that ocean essence. The rice had great heat without being too spicy. Lastly, the gem lettuce salad was the perfect cold starter to share with the table. I hear their dinner service has so much to offer with more menu options. We got our drinks and found a place to stand. Looking around I just kept thinking how early it was and how packed it was going to be soon. About 15 minutes in, a couple offered their table to us. The service this year was not good. It took for ever to get our order taken and then it took a very long time to get our drinks. We were only there for about two hours before we decided to leave. By the time we were leaving it was hard to walk through. I understand wanting to make money but it was ridiculous how many people they allow to enter. Very unsafe. Also, Bathroom lines were long for both men and women. Two stalls for the women's restroom with one small entrance to the men and women. I don't think we will go back. The concept seems cool but it's poorly planned and executed.

Luckily, he remembered the post that I shared. He wanted to go here. Well, buckle up kids, we are going on a field trip! We left work/schools early and took a drive to Compton. When our navigation said we had arrived it suggested we park in the lot across from the library. Ok. There directly in front of the library was the food truck. There was a small line, so that was ideal. Not a long wait. My other smaller human and i went to wash their hands in the library. When i came out he had ordered the hungry man or something. It was more than enough for us. The oxtail was good. The ribs were good. The chicken was good. The cornbread was yummy. Just not over the moon for the greens... and i loooove collard greens. But that's ok. We went for the meats. They were out of the dinosaur ribs, so maybe if we go early enough next time, we can try those. We took it across the street to the park and ate and that was enough time for the small one to also play to get energy out before we headed home.
