I was charged a $58 "no-show" fee even though this policy was never clearly communicated or posted anywhere I could find. After being offered service again with an extra upcharge, I no longer felt comfortable leaving my dog there due to the overall treatment. I understand schedules are important, but clear communication and basic customer respect should be non-negotiable. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. The owners are kind, friendly, and caring. When I took my 10 year old chocolate Lab in for a nail trim, they opted to file his nails since the quick was close to the end of his nails and they didn't want to risk any discomfort. They took the extra time and effort it takes to file nails instead of using the quick & easy clippers, putting my dog's comfort first. I decided to wash my Lab myself while I was there. The large, elevated stainless steel tubs have walk-up steps that make it easy for older dogs to get in and out and they are a real back-saver! They have an adjustable sprayer and a dispenser with an assortment of shampoos and conditioners that really make washing your dog easy. The owners gave me some tips and a scrubber that did a great job of working the shampoo into that thick water-repellant Lab coat and my dog didn't mind it at all. The owners showed me how to wash my dogs face using a blueberry facial and my dog just loved the extra attention. When you're done rinsing, they have blowers so you can blow-off extra water to help dry your dog more quickly. They also provide aprons and towels. If you need a careful, attentive dog groomer or just want to give your dog a quick bath yourself, I highly recommend Pup In A Tub.

Her response (unbelievably) was "The price is $140". After a back and forth I gave her $120 just to get my dog. After I left the other owner (a man) called and SCREAMED at me. During this he called me (and I quote) "A white piece of shit". The container had clearly been opened and contained only three hornworms instead of the usual five or more. They appeared nearly dead, and the container looked like it had been sitting there for quite some time. I also noticed that the store's bearded dragon appeared unhealthy, its enclosure was extremely dirty, and there was a dirty water dish inside. Overall, the store was visibly unclean and the staff seemed poorly informed about reptile care. I ultimately did not purchase the hornworms and will not be returning. Willene stayed calm and loving and did a great job! When one of my dogs became 16, Willene gave her special massages for aged dogs. When my two babies passed, everyone at the Shaggy Dog helped me mourn. Now, I have two toy poodle puppies....and today, Willene at the Shaggy Dog handled them, loved them, and groomed them beautifully. Let me add, the Shaggy Dog is very clean and Willene requires full vet documentation to ensure that one animal does not get another ill.
