Bex is awesome with a high strung German Shorthair Pointer. So happy to have found Dog-Gone nails.

The Noble Dog Hotel

*TIED FOR #1 Dog Training in the Greenville area*…read more This is part of my review series on Therapy Dog Training. Our dog was recently certified and we want to help our neighbors through this long process! We dropped off our dog for Noble Dog's puppy board and train package several months ago. Positives: Noble Dog is definitely the top dog boarding facility in the Upstate. They offer unparalleled luxury suites for your dog. Negatives: More luxurious does not necessarily equal a better trained dog. It seemed that there were just a few people making use of their training options, so they typically offered private lessons rather than a group class that we would have liked. It was quite expensive. Our puppy struggled with potty training. *Routes to Therapy Dog Certification: 1. Attend private lessons for beginner through Therapy Dog and then get certified through Alliance of Therapy Dogs (ATD) via Noble Dog Hotel. This is the more expensive option. 2. Attend classes at Astro Kennels, then take Therapy Dog class at Petsmart in Mount Pleasant, SC, and then contact a private ATD evaluator through the ATD website. This is the cheaper option.

I stumbled upon an article in the Greenville News about this new luxury dog hotel opening. I…read moreimmediately rsvp'd for the opening and took my 2 dogs (one of which is diabetic and blind) to the grand opening event. I received a full tour of the facilities (including the spa) and all my questions were answered. What was most impressive to me is that when I informed them that my fur baby is diabetic and received insulin injections 2x daily, they didn't tell me they couldn't accommodate him. Several of the staff members are trained in administering insulin so I was immediately put at ease. The level of service and attention to detail received at Noble Dog Hotel far supersedes my expectations. The staff really does treat your pet as their own! My diabetic dog got sick while there and the staff offered to take him to the vet and checked on him all the while he was there. My other dog is a staffordshire pup with a TON of energy. They are very patient with him and I never feel uncomfortable with how he's handled. I highly recommend Noble Dog Hotel. It's a definite gem in Greenville!!

The Unleashed Dog Bar - A very happy penny!

I can't give this place enough stars!…read more They are so amazing and attentive. After a very bad day at a different dog bar with our dog being attacked and targeted by other dogs we came here to let our dog get some energy out. Staff is so personable and happy to help out. Dogs are nice and our dog loved playing with everyone. The staff even stay outside with the dogs to ensure that everything goes smoothly. Highly highly recommend this place to everyone!

If I have a "Hangout Spot" in Greenville, this is it. What's better than being able to enjoy a beer…read morewith your furry pals? Unleashed is the only bar of its kind in the area, and it does a good job with what it has! There is a small inside seating area with access to the bar as well as a larger outdoor area for pups to play. You order your beer/wine/spritzer (no liquor here) through a little window from outside. They usually have a rotating draft list of 10 or so beers and a few standard and domestic beers in cans. Unleashed has TVs outside and will usually be playing sports. They also have Trivia and Bingo nights during the week. But really, when there are dogs running around and playing, who needs any other entertainment? The owners and employees are great people with big hearts for man's best friend. They are attentive, making sure water bowls are refilled and often pick up the poop that owners may have missed. Most of the people who visit Unleashed are regulars and are very responsible about their dogs. You can also come if you don't have a dog! So everyone should go. You have no excuse. Unless you're not a dog person, and if that's the case, are you really a person at all?
