I went to Lou's on a friend recommendation, and I was very pleased with the service and the cost. The Honda dealership wanted to charge me three times as much to repair my exhaust. I walked in without an appointment, they took my car immediately, and within 10 minutes, they had it up on a lift and had me come in so they could point out the repairs that needed to be made. I was in and out and under an hour. And they have a two-year guarantee on all their repairs. Kyle was great and gave me a couple of price options depending on how extensive the work I wanted to have done. I give them five stars and I would give them six if there were that many lol read more

Lou's recently repaired my son's car. They took the time to show me what was needed, finished the job quickly and professionally, and then showed me the finished product. If we ever need exhaust work, we'll go back to Lou's. read more

Lou's custom exhaust is a chain auto repair shop that specializes in exhaust only. They don't do any other kind of automotive repair; so don't plan on going there to get your transmission fixed etc. I was pleasantly surprised how quick they could do the work and did a flex pipe and three phalanges in under an hour and a half, on a fairly busy day. The customer service was good and I appreciated a window into the garage so I could see everything being done. I was referred to Lou's by my trusted local gas station and the advice was good; Lou's didn't disappoint. I would definitely return and I was very satisfied with the work, which comes with a 2 year warranty. They also have WiFi if you're waiting in the lobby. I will certainly recommend them and be back for more exhaust repair should I need it with other vehicles. read more

I went to Lou's Exhaust in Canton to get my exhaust fixed. they told me I needed to replace my flex pipe and it was going to cost $475 when I told them that seems a bit much they told me they can do it for $400 but with a different flex pipe piece. I agreed to that. I ended up calling the Lou's Exhaust in Boston. they stated the charge for that job is 160 and if they have to replace the whole flex pipe the most will be no more than $260. I informed the Machanic at Lou's in Canton what the Boston branch said and in his response he stated "we set our own prices". I believe they over charged me because I am a woman. I recommend you go to the Boston branch or at least check for comparable prices before comming here. Also ladies do not show up alone, bring a man with you. read more

Paul and his team always do great work. I've had several exhausts done on trucks and most recently was in for some crossmember replacements on a truck. Paul and his team took care of it quickly and efficiently. Even found a crack in the frame and went ahead and fixed that area and welded in some supports. Can't recommend Lou's in Stoughton/Canton enough! read more

Had an exhaust fall out in Upstate NY and got a crazy estimate. Towed it to Lou's and they did a great job for a fraction of what others wanted. No upsell. They worked with what they had. Very pleasant, cheap and fast. They also warranty the work. read more

Always the best service and QUALITY work... would not go anywhere else... They stand by their work 110...

I had a leak in my exhaust which was also connected to the cal converter that needs to be repaired. Didn't pass inspection and got the red sticker of shame. Took it to my car guy and he recommended Lou's Custom Exhaust in Stoughton. These guys are honest, fair, and legit!! Very experienced and thoughtful mechanics who walked me through the issues, gave me a quote, and scheduled a time for pick up. Turn around time to fix the exhaust was in 24 hours which helped immensely as I need my car to drive to work. Jay was the one who did the analysis and priced the work. Lee was the awesome person at the front desk who was so super kind and professional. I highly recommend this location for ca exhaust, transmissions, and other auto repairs so come check them out! read more

Went to this location to get exhaust work done. A guy named Tim worked on it and unfortunately it didn't come out good so came back to get things right (2 years warranty they say). Unfortunately they were rude, slaming tools In your face just because it's a warranty job. Clearly if they not in the field they looking for they should apply for another job. I highly suggest going to another shop and save yourself a headache. Save yourself a headache and go to lous exhaust in boston they clearly know what they doing since they saw the mistake quick. read more

I've dealt personally with Lee and Tim who handle business in the shop and when I tell you that I'm so grateful for these guys I really mean it! They are honest and really hard working they accommodate their customers and I highly recommend them to anybody in need of this type of work done to their vehicle. I recommend this shop for anyone especially when dealing with classic cars. Paul worked his magic on my '71 Dodge Dart installing the down pipes on a 360 4spd & has the patience of a saint. Outstanding crew - outstanding work. read more

Superb workmanship...Extremely fair pricing...Extraordinary customer service. I went to have them repair a tailpipe that fell off. Even though the failure was not a result of previously completed work done, they took me right away, finished the job and did not charge me. I was in and out within 1/2 hour. Highly recommended. read more

Went to have exhaust system looked at it. The 12 year old Subaru I was afraid was going to meet a new muffler and maybe more of the exhaust system repaired. I was sure it was going to be over a thousand. They showed me what was wrong. The exhaust system needed repairs in a few places but the muffler was fine. They were great at pointing out the problems and the bill came to under 600. Another customer while I was there was told he had a small problem and they fixed it no charge. I really enjoy when leaving a place of business that I don't have that ripped off feeling. read more

Sometimes in life you meet people who put every ounce of their soul into what they do. Such is the case at Lou's Custom Exhaust in Stoughton. These guys are just awesome, a family team who cares and helps each other out. Took my 65 impala in to upgrade the mufflers and pipes, I have never heard anything so sweet......... I dont often publicly display someones logo or ad but when I am at the car shows this summer Lou's logo will be proudly displayed on my ride. Talk to Paul (lou was his uncle) he will give you some options and even gave me a listen to the mufflers before welding them in. read more

I will never go to Lou's custom exhaust in Brockton or Stoughton again they both are ran by complete imbecile's. The front desk guy in stoughton cannot complete a sentence without stuttering ; is a liar and jacks the price up despite the management quoting me 150 before he started the work. The Brockton location just did a terrible job. They removed my flex pipe in the very front without telling me and then the secondary flex pipe was put in wrong and was not the correct size I paid $300 to the brockton location in less than a year. I was referred to the stoughton location but still had a bad experience. They were disrespectful unprofessional and became belligerent when caught in a lie the management is timid and would not correct the front desk guy who lied on him do not go here it is a shit show!!!!! read more

Third time going here and every experience is top notch. Today I had a Flowmaster put on my 2 day old Ram Rebel. These guys do meticulous work and their pride in their craft shows. From the initial explanation of various systems to the wipe down of the chrome tips, excellent family run shop!! Truck sounds awesome now, thanks guys. read more

Being a girl, car shops tend to try and take advantage over typical female oblivion when it comes to cars. I can honestly say that these guys are genuine! I called the shop and was able to bring my '03 VW jetta in right away, which was perfect. I already knew what was wrong with my car, what it needed and about how much it was going to cost me. I was very pleased to see that the guys checking over and working on my car, did not try to sell me on anything it did not need, or overcharge me. I had recently bought the car, and the hood latch was broken, along with a broken flex pipe and one of the tail pipes missing. I had suspected the car needed new motor mounts, but with all of the above wrong, it was very hard to tell for sure. While the car was on the lift, one of the guys showed me how much the engine was moving, and that the car had already blown through two or three flex pipes, because of bad motor mounts. I understand they don't do this work here, but he was still very honest about everything and while my mounts do not need to be replaced immediately, he did warn me that I could blow through this flex pipe much quicker if it isn't dealt with. I was in and out in less that 45 minutes, the price was great, 2 year warranty on all the parts and work done, and the staff is honest and friendly. I will continue to bring my cars here! read more

They did a really nice job on my Scion xB. They had me in and out in about 45 minutes. They showed me the issues first and gave me an estimate. When they were done they showed me their work. They did what the said they would. read more

I went there today for the first time-so happy that several people on a facebook group highly recommended this shop. Paul took the time to explain everything to me. I felt very comfortable talking with him and was impressed with how pleasant and honest he was-I went in there thinking I might need a new cat converter and learned that I didn't. If I ever have a problem, I will be coming back here and will highly recommend this place to others. Neglected to mention another employee Tim also took the time to explain things to me and another pleasant person. Kudos to Paul and Tim! read more

Lou's Custom Exhaust is by far the best muffler place in the area. I got quotes from 3 places and theirs as 25% lower than next lowest. Once i received the quote, and gave the OK, the car was done in less than 20 minutes. i think all they do is exhaust systems and they do it well read more

So happy with Lou's! I came in here after having a horrible experience with Firestone the week before, and then being quoted from NTB for a complete exhaust replacement, telling me "oh no this MUST be replaced, it can't be welded". I knew I was being taken advantage of, and after reading the reviews for Lou's, I brought my car in on the way to work. The first person I talked to was very nice. I showed him a photo of what happened to my exhaust, and he immediately said no problem, I can fix that right now. It cost me 1/5 of what NTB quoted me, and took less than 30 minutes. I was back on the road with no problems, so quickly. Thanks so much! read more

Went there this morning because my muffler/exhaust was making a loud noise. I usually bring my car to the dealer and shy away from local places if I don't know much about them. I took a chance and brought my car in this morning and was very impressed. These guys are honest, they explain everything in detail and very attentive. They really seem to care about helping the customer and dedicated to customer service. Unlike the large commercial places like Sears or Direct Tire it's nice to know the local places such as Lou's is still dedicated to team work and customer service. read more

Paul and his crew are awesome. Everyone I spoke to was polite and they were all extremely product knowledgeable. They did a superb job on my classic Chevy. I highly recommend stopping in you are in need of any type of muffler service. read more

I could not be happier with the customer service and quality of work performed on my classic vehicle. I had the pleasure of speaking with Paul, the co-owner. Communication was great as I knew nothing about exhausts. He walked me through every step of the process and had the foresight to ask questions about the use of the 4x4 vehicle and future equipment such as tire size and heavy-duty bumpers. Upon completion, he took the time to explain every detail of what was done to the vehicle and reviewed the receipt for 100% transparency. I was amazed at how quick the turnaround was and how low the cost was. Make sure you go to the Park Street (RT 27) shop. I had the pleasure of working with Paul, but felt comfortable with everyone there. read more

Needed to replace the catalytic converter, front/rear flanges, etc on my older Honda Pilot. The dealership quoted an absolutely outrageous price (to the point that I was probably going to junk it). Was referred to Lou's by my regular mechanic. They offer walk-in estimates which is pretty convenient. My car was on the lift within about 10 minutes and I had a quote in hand 5 minutes later (that was a fraction of the amount quoted by the dealer). They looked pretty busy but they said if I had 60-90 minutes they could do it right then. When they called me over earlier than 60 minutes later I thought they were going to tell me they found something else but they were finished! Sue was super pleasant and the two mechanics I dealt with were highly patient/knowledgeable (took me under the car to show me exactly what they planned to do and then what they did after completion). And you could tell they were just really good guys. I can't recommend this place enough!!! read more

I was referred here by Rob at Sun Stoppers down the road. Best decision stopping by. Brought my 07 Wrangler Unlimited by hoping to get a Flowmaster 40 installed (only because I'd heard of other people doing it). Paul told me that while he'd be happy to do that, there were other, less expensive options that would give me better performance and better sound. He got my Jeep up on the list and then basically let me design my own custom setup. I went with a Lou's SS freeflow then straight back to a nice sized stainless tip. He gave me a quote (VERY fair pricing) and I thought for sure he would bring it down off of the lift and give me a time to come back. Nope! Had his guys get to work on it right away, and about an hour later my Jeep came off of the lift with a nice throaty rumble and a much better looking tip. How much did it cost? Exactly how much he said it would. No extra charges for labor, parts, etc. The same price he said before we even got started. Hard to find in this business. DEFINITELY recommend! read more

These guys are awesome!! Today was the second time having work done by Paul and his crew and I couldn't be any happier. I explained the situation to Paul and he pulled it right in and gave me a couple variables to fix my problem. I couldn't be any happier with the service and care that is put into my vehicle each time I bring it in! read more

Lou's has now done exhausts on 3 of my trucks and they have all looked and sounded great! The one time I did have a cosmetic issue with my chrome tips they were replaced no questions asked 7 months after they were installed. This is the kind of service you just don't get anymore. Great work to the team at Lou's and I will be back with my next truck purchase. read more

I met Paul at t he dealership I used to work at and I liked what he had to say about an exhaust system for my custom 79 Corvette. Paul is not the typical exhaust guy that does what he thinks is the correct thing. I brought my car there yesterday and explained to him what I wanted to do and what the end result that I wanted to get to. Instead of just picking what he thought was best he explained the differences between the mufflers and the sound letting me pick which one I wanted. To top everything off while I was there Paul came and got me to show me each stage of the process they were in to make sure that is what I wanted and that I liked what I saw so far. When it was completed and I heard the sound I was a little unsure that was the sound I was looking for. Being a gear head I know that it will take a little bit for things to break in and the true sound to come out. As I drove home the sound became what I was looking for. Paul wanted me to call him when I got home to let him know what I thought. I said to him (jokingly) that I hated it and he needed to do something about it and to my surprise he said bring it back and we will get it right. I truly love the way it sounds. The sound is exactly what I was looking for. Hats off to Paul and his crew for doing such GREAT JOB and thank you Mrs. Paul for providing the sugar high as well as a pleasant conversation!!!! read more

I went here today on my lunch break. I thought I had lost a clamp as part of my exhaust was hanging down (but rattling -still connected). They got me in right awa y(I had no apt and they were busy) and spent about 15-20 mins fixing it. I was actually nervous at first as I saw the mechanic with the blow torch as I thought it was just a bolt- In any case he came out and told me it was just the heat plate (or something) and I was all set. He did not even charge me! I will go back to them whenever I need something and I will refer anyone I can ! read more

If your having any muffler, or exhaust problems I highly recommend this shop. They are friendly, nice and most importantly fair. My car needed a muffler and one shop quoted me 500.00, I went to Lou's and had it done for 300.00. I waited while they did the job, it took less than a hour! I went in to have Lou's look at my flex pipe that was failing and just expected them to be able to tell me what's wrong and give me a price. They brought me out to the car and showed me what was wrong and explained it to me while we were looking at the car. I also wanted to make my car sound a little louder so we talked about our options there. The guys there were so friendly and helpful and were able to complete the work within an hour. The car sounds great. They also told me what we could do in the future to make it sound louder if I want it louder. I totally recommend the drive to this Lou's location, you won't be disappointed. read more

Quality work at fair prices! That's the trademark at LOU'S. I've had exhaust and brakes installed on a couple of family cars and I've always been pleased. I've brought friends to see Paul W. These guys are the flippin' best! I can safely say I have never felt better leaving a garage. I was actually referred to this awesome shop by another great mechanic (who shall remain nameless) and I am so glad I went. I had received two other quotes before going to Lou's and the guys at Lou's were able to fix everything at an unbelievably reasonable rate. Seriously, they saved me hundreds of dollars. Not only did they fix my car without ripping me off, they took me under there showed me, and successfully explained what was actually wrong with it, and then when I came to pick it up, a mere half an hour later, they showed me how they had fixed it. To top it off there is a two year warranty on the work I had done! So while everyone else was telling me to replace my whole exhaust system, which would've cost upward of $1,000, these guys fixed what needed to be fixed without wasting, time money or materials! Super helpful, super nice and super great! read more
