We had just finished walking around the Louvre and Notre Dame and we were in need of a little cafe to sit in and relax and grab some drinks so we stopped in here. I've never had Australian food so why not try it while in Paris. Hehe. We happened to have a server who was an Aussie so that was unique. And interestingly she has heard about Atlanta so that was cool. Anyway... There was a line when we swung by as it was on a Sunday around lunch time. I guess brunch is still a thing regardless of where you are. But surprisingly with just the two of us, we only waited a few minutes and was seated almost right away. The latte we had was so so. Nothing spectacular to mention. The latte art was pretty and made the latte taste prettier. Yes, I said taste prettier. You partially consume food with your eyes anyway. The chicken parmigiana was so so. There wasn't really anything to really call out, good nor bad. Overall it was good so don't get me wrong, but nothing worth raving about nor to diss. It was a thick cut of chicken with a generous amount of cheese. Their chips were different to me, but that's just me and my limited exposure to different types of foods. The hubs' pick of ceviche was actually pretty delicious. It's not something you'd think Aussie's would do well. But then again, I don't really know much about Australian food. It's actually not something I'd think Australians would have on their menu in general. The thick cuts of fish were really good. The hubs really enjoyed this pick very much. Be aware before visiting!! Ultimately, the most concerning is the lack of security. My family and I came here on Sunday, and during our meal my bag was stolen. It contained passports, cash, medicine, and other personal belongings - things that are difficult to replace (my bag isn't even available to purchase again anymore) The general manager came out, helped us with police, and the restaurant also comped our dinner, but it unfortunately just really doesn't come close to making up for what we lost or the stress this caused. What is most alarming is the complete lack of security. For a restaurant that attracts so many tourists, we were told there are no security cameras or other security measures in place. We were seated in the middle of the patio, not even near the edge, yet someone was still able to come and steal our belongings. While I appreciate the staff's efforts afterward, this is something that could have been prevented or, at the very least, better addressed. Instead, nothing could be done because there were no security measures in place. I hope management takes guest safety much more seriously so no one else has to go through the same experience. To make matters worse, we even found a bug in one of our dishes. While the restaurant replaced it, that's another issue that never should have happened. What was supposed to be a special evening turned into an incredibly upsetting experience. The safety risks simply outweigh any reason to dine here and for that reason, we highly recommend staying away from here. read more

Club Sandwich - my brother is not usually a fan of club sandwich, but whatever they did here actually was good! He was actually quite impressed by it. Only thing is that it was fairly cold. I ordered the chicken burger. It was nothing special. I ate it but don't really remember it. My girlfriend had the club sandwich but didn't care for the gluten free bread that accompanied it. I tried it and agreed that it took away from the general flavor of the meal. Their signature Loulou lager was good. There was another signature beer on the menu that had some floral notes but it wasn't available. Lastly, I ordered the French toast for dessert. My favorite thing to do when visiting a new city is to see if they have an "Australian brunch" spot. They're always the absolute best -- colorful, fresh, healthy, and delicious. After eating many crepes around Paris, stopping by this cute cafe for breakfast was the right choice... But this place was that good and really energized us with protein, fruits, and veggies for a long day of walking and exploring. I loved the ability to have a bit of everything - protein, greens, carbs, and healthy fats. Yummmmmm, yum. The perfect breakfast. We decided to grab dinner at LouLou our first night in Paris. It was a very cute little spot with a great patio. We sat down and ordered relatively quickly. We ordered a avocado club sandwich for my wife and a Wills Deli club for me. The food came out quickly and the portion sizes were excellent. Both sandwiches came with fries as well. It had chicken and avocado as advertised, but it also had a unique tomato sauce, bread and butter pickles, and no discernible miso or coriander red onions. It was still good, just not what I expected. They also added asian coleslaw on the side. I would have preferred all fries, because the coleslaw was not very good.
