I wasn't there to do a long session, so I got a couple tasters, one including Peche Mortal and the other a NEIPA. Two very different styles and both extremely well done. Beyond that, the space had a very old-fashioned look. Really nice wooden fixtures and a very warm, welcoming vibe. The server was also attentive and friendly, but also knew when to let people sit back and enjoy their drinks. You probably don't need me to tell you, but yes, you should go.

He expressed interest in hitting up some breweries, so I did some research and compiled a few we could potentially visit. Brasserie Dieu du Ciel was one of them, and it just so happened we were in its vicinity after our Mile End food tour concluded. That being said, we made our way over. While I am not a beer person myself, I'll have a round or two if I'm with a group, and can appreciate a good brewery. My first impression of Dieu du Ciel was just that - the vibes were on walking in. The space is pretty large - kinda separated into semi- compartmentalized spaces with tables throughout. There's not much decor, but medium-toned woods throughout which gave it a sort of upscale feel. They offer a food menu, but we were just here for drinks. They have a really wide selection of beer - again, I'm no connoisseur, but I could tell that the selection was way more than other breweries I've been to. I ended up getting a cider for the first round and a stout for my second round - both very good. Service was great, and overall we enjoyed our time at Dieu du Ciel. Their selection and comfortable setting made it a standout brewery for me out of the ones I've visited in Montreal - I wouldn't hesitate to return.

There is a spacious outdoor terrace, big portion of it is covered and one can safely consume a pint during rainy summer day or hide from stronger sun. The pub offers food, the menu is OK, but don't expect anything else than typical pub food with no real healthy options. Regardless we came for the beers and managed to try most of them. First you can get a taster of the eight beers available on tap. Then you can buy variety of cans for experiments at home, which we did as to celebrate Canada Day in style. Unfortunately my favorite Hazy Camper IPA was not available that day. Farnham also offers few amazing hard seltzers that are worthy trying. The staff is super nice, but a little bit slow. Ordered the Cider, Mac and Cheese, Onion Rings, and Smoked Brisket Sandwich, which came with a generous serving of delicious French Fries. Drinks were delicious, food came out freshly made. The Onion Rings were crispy and well-fried, the Mac and Cheese was an utterly heavenly goo of Macaroni and Gruyère and other Cheeses - totally heavenly! The Brisket Sandwich and Fries were on point as well - great burger bun with generous portions of 24-hr smoked Brisket and Cheese! Fries were not greasy and utterly tasty. A wonderful meal following a long walk through Centerville and Old Town, we were set back CAD 58 for the meal and $20 for the drinks, including the heavy federal and state taxes and generous tips. I really liked the vibes as soon as we entered - the place isn't too large, but still spacious enough to have two semi-split up rooms. We stayed in the front room that housed the bar, some tables, as well as a small stage where (I assume) live music plays. The decor had somewhat of a music theme, as one of the walls was covered in pictures of famous artists. We had a round - I'm not the biggest beer person but had a cider which was good. We also split a poutine - we opted for the popcorn chicken one which was tasty. Everyone was really friendly, and we were even talking it up with a fellow patron who was also from New York. Service was great, and although it was only a short stay, I had a good experience at Brutopia. I wouldn't hesitate to return next time I'm in the area.

The tacos were corn and the fillings were plentiful with beef and onion. The only things missing were some veggies and dip with the wings and something fresh with the tacos like a pico de gallo. There are two restrooms down a hall near the bar, each is a 'single person', one men's one woman's. Located in the city, parking is on street, paid lot or garage. I recommend public transportation, bike or walk. This very laid back, easy going, beer focused business should definitely be on your list if you enjoy craft brews.

With each sip I said to myself this is weird. This is strange. Then this is good. Now I kinda like it. I really like that the fish and chips can include three different kinds of fish. Cod, haddock and salmon. Even more impressive was the bun on my fish sandwich. The outside was crispy and the inside soft and colored red! Amazing bun. When we arrived it wasn't too crowded and were seated towards the side of the dining room close to the windows. At its heart, this is a brewery and they have a good selection of craft beer. We were given the option of beer if we wanted to pay on our own, but we were really there for poutine which was included in the tour. I'm not much of a beer person so I passed, but did partake in the poutine. It was pretty good, though I wouldn't say it was too noteworthy. I have now had poutine from several places in the city, and this would be middle of the road for me. It was tasty and quality, but nothing too exciting. I don't really fault them though, as poutine is not the star of the show here. Service as good - overall I had a fine experience at Siboire. I need to return to explore more of their menu - and possibly a beer.

They serve pub fair, great nachos, but you're also allowed to purchase food at any one of the market stands and bring it in. The service was good, the waiters and owners were funny and welcoming. We went for a Wednesday trivia night, something hard to find on the south shore, and were treated to a pitcher of beer for winning the first round.
