At this point we've had a large part of the menu. It's all great - oysters, crawdads, gumbo, catfish, crab. The Cajun Bloody Mary is excellent. Our most recent visit on a Sunday afternoon we ordered from the brunch menu. Cajun biscuits and gravy? Yes, please. You just can't miss here. Don't get me started on their desserts. Beignets will have you thinking you're at cafe du monde. Key lime pie is our favorite. Service is always fantastic. Jay was our server this trip and he was super attentive, personable, and fast (and funny)! Great vibe here, we're loyal fans now.

I ordered the fried shrimp (butterflied) with fries. It comes with slaw and a hush puppy. It was good, and I liked the slaw, which is a rarity for me at a restrauant.

Ordered the 2 piece fish lunch special at the counter, took about 5 to 10 minutes, and it was brought out to me. Decent size of food for the $9.99 price. The fries were ok, the hush puppies were good, but small, and the 2 decent sized catfish were good too. They were playing cool music to go along with the Louisiana theme and it was enjoyable. 2 more groups of people walked in while I was there, so they were very slow for lunch. It's not rich or bland, it's refreshing and filling at the same time. Could be eaten on a hot day or by the fire place. Served skin on, delicious crisp or you can eat around easily if it's not your thing. Will be back!

We sat under a vent but it honestly felt like the heat was blowing. With how hot it was outside, I assume the AC has a difficult time keeping up. It was very uncomfortable. Service was quick and friendly. I had the $2 happy hour oysters and the $5 happy hour golden margarita. Both items were good. For my main entree, I had the tuna tostadas. These were good and at a decent price. My husband had the double bacon cheeseburger. He said it was worth the $10 happy hour price but would never pay full price. The menu overall seems pretty pricey. I would return but only during happy hour and when it's not so hot outside.

The staff is friendly and helpful, welcoming us with a smile and great hospitality. In fact, the catfish is nostalgic for me because it reminds me of my grandmother's cooking. Her hush puppies (we called them corn dodgers) were a 10 and those at The Catch are as close as you can get. My husband always gets the shrimp basket which is without equal in OKC. The breading is perfectly crispy and crunchy. I get the catfish/shrimp combo basket. There are many choices on the menu if you want to avoid fried food. I've sampled a few other dishes and never had a bad experience. Both meals are served molten lava hot from the kitchen. Thankfully they are served on a mountain of fresh French fries that you can eat while the shrimp and catfish cools down. It's not a fancy place, you will serve yourself but I'm fine with that. If you want the best catfish or shrimp in OKC then look no farther.
