I tasted a fork full of the green beans and the red beans & rice. Every piece of food I ate tasted like it was drowned in salt. I have high blood pressure so I could not continue eating the food. Over $30 worth of full has to been thrown out due to the salt type ingredient. I'm a big fan of soul food cooking and what I tasted (not ate) last night sent my blood pressure through the roof. I was able to enjoy the cornbread and inhaled it because I was so hungry. Maybe it was a timing issue because I it was later in the day. They close at 7pm and I was there close to 4. Ultimately, I ordered a half and half shrimp and catfish po boy, a mixed order of beignets which included 2 classic and one oreo, and a peach lemonade. The shrimp is coated in a flavorful batter, perfectly seasoned. You can choose regular French fries or sweep potato fries, both are good. The price is affordable for lunch. I haven't tried their regular menu yet, which can be expensive, but it's quality seafood. The ambiance is good with a beautiful fish tank in the front and the decor is Asian themed, it's very clean inside. The staff is nice and the to-go food usually arrives in a reasonable amount of time, (unless there's a rush of customers).
