Sometimes the simplest places are the ones that end up impressing you the most…read more Steak Out has been around forever, and after finally stopping in, I completely understand why. From the outside it looks like your classic neighborhood cheesesteak shop, but once you walk inside you're greeted by a surprisingly warm, rustic dining room filled with old license plates, wood accents, and just enough local character to make you want to sit down instead of grabbing your food and leaving. I ordered a cheesesteak, and this thing was absolutely loaded. Not one of those sandwiches where half the roll is empty--every bite was packed with tender, finely chopped steak. The meat was flavorful, cooked perfectly, and the cheese was melted throughout instead of just sitting on top. Sometimes cheesesteaks try to get fancy with a hundred toppings. This one proves you don't need any of that when the basics are done right. The surprise of the meal, though, was dessert. I figured I'd finish with a slice of cheesecake, expecting something ordinary. I was wrong. It was rich, creamy, and the perfect way to end the meal. It's the kind of dessert that makes you slow down and enjoy every bite. Service was friendly, the restaurant was spotless, and the atmosphere felt comfortable--exactly the kind of place you could bring family, grab lunch with coworkers, or stop by after a long day. South Jersey has no shortage of places claiming to have a great cheesesteak, but Steak Out has earned its reputation. When you combine generous portions, quality ingredients, a welcoming dining room, and a fantastic dessert, it's easy to see why this place has been a local favorite for so many years. This definitely won't be my last visit. There's still plenty left on the menu I want to try, but one thing is certain--the cheesesteak alone is worth the trip.

Cheese steaks and service was mid, but the French fries were bomb af, doubt I'd return if I'm ever…read moredown here again

This friend has always reminisced about steaks he loved from Rita's Pizzeria in Westville. Well now he has a new all time favorite in Wit or Without. Apparently, they go through 15 gallons of it every week. More on that in a minute. I took my cheesesteak over to Death of the Fox Brewery. Why? Because the two breweries that were closer happened to be closed. Their loss, my gain. I love Death of the Fox, but that's a story for a separate review. First, I sampled the meat, cheese, and onions by themselves. Pretty darn tasty. Next, I tried a bite on the toasted garlic roll. Very pretty darn tasty. Then I added the habanero sauce. Now we're talking. Very, very pretty darn tasty. If you've followed my cheesesteak adventures for any length of time, you know I'm not exactly a hot sauce guy. I was expecting some serious heat, but I'd describe this as more of a sweet habanero with a pleasant kick. Best of all, I suffered no repercussions afterward--a minor miracle. The cheesesteak was excellent, the garlic roll added another layer of flavor, and the habanero sauce tied everything together. Honestly, I'm surprised Whit or Whitout doesn't get mentioned more often on social media. They deserve a lot more attention. Decor was all Philly!!
