They often come out to sell their pies in front of Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company. That was where I got my hands on one of their Jack-O-Lantern pies, which is their seasonal pumpkin cheesecake offering. It was the best seasonal item I had all autumn. It was amazing. This was also very good. The chocolate was dark and rich, and paired well with the almond. The pie was served with whipped cream, which tasted homemade. While the chocolate pie was good, I don't think I would order it again. I was interested in the description, but I tend to prefer fruit pies, and I am kicking myself for not trying their apple pie. Soon. I tried Pie-Stand recently at the Chinatown Night Market. My understanding is that they are typically in Fishtown. I'm not sure if the pies were changed at all for the night market, but I tried two hand pies. I think I paid something like $12 for 2 pies. The owners, or staff, or whoever was in the stand were really friendly and seemed passionate about what they do. I can't wait to try some more of their pies.
