These guys were great at first. Came right out when I had a problem, but now we've had continual problems and they won't take responsibility. They over-charged me for their first visit to try to fix the problem, which should have been their responsibility anyway, and now we're still having problems they won't answer or return my call. I discovered that my septic pump was not working Wednesday night and called Loudoun Septic Tank Service Thursday morning about 9AM. Their crew (2 guys) arrived about an hour later and determined that my septic tank pump needed to be replaced. They quoted me $1750 for the job, which does not seem unreasonable. But when I asked them to break it down, separating the cost of the pump and the cost of labor, they absolutely refused, telling me "We don't do it that way." After a bit of back-and-forth, I had no choice but to let them do it their way. When I paid them and asked for the warranty papers on the pump, they told me that they keep the warranty papers at their office, and that if I have any problem with the pump, to call their office. As a result, I have no idea what make or model of pump I now own, or what the warranty terms are. Even though their service was quick and efficient, I will not do business with them again. There is just something fishy about their refusal to give me any information about the pump or to allow me to keep the warranty papers for it. read more

When our septic pump stopped working I contacted them because I'd seen them recommended on this site before. They might be ok for a pump out but certainly not for a repair and after the sh** they tried to pull today (no pun intended), I wouldn't call them for anything. They literally rolled in and one guy started pumping out the tank while another took a quick look at the septic alarm box in the basement, declaring that fine (with out testing anything) and then by the time i got back outside they were in the truck ready to roll out and handed me a bill for the $275 pump out and told me I needed a replacement installed for $2300. I had another company come out the same day and they took the time to actually troubleshoot and determined it was a bad connector. Easy, inexpensive fix. read more

I've used Loudoun Septic for routine service and repairs. Every time, the staff have been courteous and professional. I cannot comment on their repair prices as I did not shop around. When there is a threat of a septic backup into your house, there isn't a lot of time to shop around or haggle. Both times, I received same day service with no wait time. The repairs were thorough, complete, and the crew cleaned everything up very well. I know they also used a high quality Zoeller pump when I had to have one replaced. It was expensive, but I know it will last. Only 4 stars because I don't know how their prices compare. Quality is very good and they are quick for repairs. read more

I called for the five year septic tank pumping of my Virginia home. I let them know to have the driver call me when they were nearby. Instead, the company arrived and allegedly pumped one septic tank completely and only pumped the scum off the second tank. They allegedly did all the work requested in roughly 20 minutes. In the process of the work they drove their truck across my yard with sprinkler heads. When confronted, the owner told me I was bullshitting him, not realizing he was on a speakerphone. Rather than apologizing, he told me not to call him again for service. This is exactly the kind of rude behavior that is prevalent in much of the service society. This owner can rest assured, I will never call his business again. The only wish I have, is that Yelp would allow a rating of zero, as that is what this business deserves. read more

They were able to schedule us quickly and on little notice. The service person arrived first thing in the morning and was able to quickly diagnose and resolve the issue. They were knowledgeable and completely honest, which is something I had yet to experience in this industry. We will be using Loudoun Septic Tank Service for all our Septic needs going forward. A couple of years ago our septic field failed. After getting the county inspector to provide me a report on what needed to be done, I sent out emails to many of the companies on the Loudoun County approved company list. Loudoun Septic came back with a cost of $18,000 with do break-down of the cost. When I emailed them back and asked for a break-down, they told me they do not provide details. After letting them know I would not give them the business, they provided me some details. I subsequently gave the business to another company who was clearly honest with me and they completed the work in 2 days and charged me $9,000. I am extremely happy with the other company's work. Clearly I was getting ripped off by Loudoun Septic Tank Service. I would definitely never hire them again. Even the Loudoun inspectors privately admitted that the company I selected was excellent at their work and they had very high customer satisfaction. read more

I would not recommend Loudoun Septic to anyone for several reasons. 1) The crew did not keep their appointment time. 2) The crew broke the cover/lid and said that a new one would cost $250+. I picked up a replacement cover from Powell's Plumbing for $75. 3) One neighbor said that the same crew had come a few years ago with a broken pump...and tried to charge him for a service that wasn't satisfactorily done. read more

When the installer arrived two hours later to complete the installation, the installer advised me that the estimator made a mistake, and the repair would actually cost $1,650.00. If the estimator had told me the repair would cost $1,650.00, I would have obtained competitive bids before I agreed to hire this Company. read more

This family owned and operated gem is the best I have ever used. Jesse got out to investigate our issue promptly. Everybody was professional and worked hard to get our repair done as quickly as possible. They pulled all the permits and gave me updates on what had been discovered in the process. What was expected to be a quick repair turned in to a pretty extensive refurbish, including a new ejector pump and some 4 foot deep excavation of the front yard with a couple of joints of pipe being laid to replace the damaged sections. They put it all back good as new and still managed to stay on budget. How they do it? I can't imagine. The only septic service I will ever use in the northern Virginia area. Use anybody else! They wanted to drive their truck over my front lawn! After quoting a price of $225, he told me I needed to pay an extra $85 to clean the filter (they did the same of my neighbor). When they sent me a bill it included his note calling me a dumb ass for not paying the extra money to get the filter cleaned. When I called to discuss he laughed and said I was being dumb ass.
