Just bought a hard to find bull head Seiko from Vienna jewelry for a great price. I am so happy with my vintage Seiko , it's very collectible and rare find. I got lucky! Hard work should be recognized and yelp should not be playing around with people's livelihood. So that you know my friend, YELP is exposed. I have spend a few weeks doing yelp research and 75% of the people that view yelp have stated they go directly to the "non recommended" reviews section (like I did) because, "that is where the TRUTH lies" ~ Yelp is known to manipulate reviews unless you pay for ads and it must be stopped. I was scoping out this place for jewelry repair. I called first during normal business hours, and it was picked up by an answering service who wanted to know my first name, last name, what I wanted. No one called me back. I guess they would judge whether I was someone they would talk to. Three weeks later I was in the area and swung by the store, but it was empty. These guys are great. I went in to get a replacement chain for my wife's necklace. They basically said, why replace it when we can just repair it for you? So when they had a chance to upsell me and didn't. Secondly, we were flying the next day for a wedding so I needed a quick turnaround. Did I mention, I walked in their shop about 5 mins after they closed. And still because I was flying out the next afternoon, they made my $15 dollar repair a priority and ensured it would be done first thing. Next morning, I got the call and my wife was happy. Vienna Jewerlry has excellent service in all types of jewelry from heirloom or antiques to current and contemporary jewelry. Excellent watch repair. I have a watch 1980s golden-winged longine that is extremely hard to fix they did a remote for a marketable job. Many of my rings have been sized, which I have extremely small fingers 4 3/4 - 5. They too have been in Vienna business over 25 years. Professional and knowledgeable with all types of jewelry. And yes in one posting I did notice that they do take jewelry on consignment. First time ever visiting, Went in for an appraisal but once I mentioned I might be interested in selling my piece of jewelry, the employee was as rude as she could be, already reassuring me I would never get a reasonable offer from them. Nasty is the only word I can use to describe the way I was treated. I thought this would be a nice jewelry shop but I was appalled by the "pawnshop demeanor" and by the customer service I received. She wouldn't let me talk and dominated the conversation. I let her do that for about 2 minutes before walking out. All I desired from my visit was for the employee to take a SERIOUS look at the beautiful jewelry I put in her hand & be treated with respect as a customer. Too much to ask? I'm new to the area... I obviously didn't do my research before stopping in. I've passed the store many times and figured I would try them out. Never going back. Promise you that. read more

I went to Vienna Jewelry to sell quite a quantity of jewelry. I was quoted a price, which I believed to be low. Well, I left and went to another establishment. They paid me 42% MORE than what Vienna Jewelry offered - which would be in line with the industry standard. So, I must advise anyone to OBTAIN quotes from other jewelers before selling to VJ. I stopped at this store after seeing the other jewerly store I had yelped earlier was closed for the day. I needed to get my husband's battery on his watch replace and had a link taken out to make it smaller. So I stopped at this jewerly store and was in and out fairly quickly. The only thing that was strange was I was not given back the extra link that was taken out of the watch. I am not concerned about this since I have an extra link at home. Dave's craftsmanship is impeccable. When I wasn't 100% sure of my original design, he suggested something new, and recreated an entirely new ring for me in just a few short days. I really want to like this store but just can't. The biggest problem is their staff. I've been in a few times and I've had to deal with the same sales person everytime. She is difficult to deal with and makes everything, even looking at the jewelry, a pain. She is exhausting and makes the experience unpleasant. At my last visit she kept pushing a very unattractive piece of jewelry on me. I was clear that I had no interest and even she admitted it was ugly. I decided not to buy anything and left. She has told me more than once that she wouldn't sell me something because it wasn't right for me. Does anyone ever fall for this? There are other stores like this within a mile or two who have more inventory and are so much nicer to deal with. I visit their stores every few months and have never left empty handed. Good sales people can help you find things in the store you'd otherwise not notice. I've not experienced that here. read more

I have been a customer of Vienna Jewlry since they opened. Do I enjoy my visits to this shop? Absolutely! There has been many times my coworkers and I have taken our lunch hour by driving a carload over to see what new items they had. When I have out of town guests, they always want to go back to check out what they have and we all end up happy. The staff is probably the nicest group of people you would ever meet. I wanted to replace a small marquise ruby ring that had been stolen from my home. Duffy did a lot of research to first see if the mold was still available. It was not, so he and the craftsman were able to recreate my ring from one blurry photograph and my memory. I took the ring to four different jewelers, and the offer Vienna Jewelry gave me was a full 33% lower than the next lowest offer and not even half of the highest offer I got. I visited the store because a massage chair had crushed my silver ring as well as my 1920's platinum wedding band & engagement rings. The gentlemen owner was very helpful. He fixed 2 rings immediately and without cost. He also advised me not to fix the eternity band as it would cost more than a replacement. Good customer service. read more

For me, this merchant did not stand behind their work. I had a metal inset setting replaced along with two VS1 diamonds on my grandfather's ring. The repair lasted 16 months before a prong broke off and my diamond slipped out- gone forever. The ring is nearly a century old and had never lost a stone prior to its' rebuilding by this jeweler. This merchant was indifferent to the damage and offered no compensation for my inset or for the missing diamond. read more

Word of warning - Anyone who offers to buy estate jewelry is only going to offer you the "gold" price for the gold. Doesn't matter even if you have a 2 carart diamond on it Vienna and others will only offer you the gold price & "consideration" for the stone(s) which will probably be under $250.00. Wow what a great business! Why didn't I think of that 20 years ago? Their other services may be fine but I just hate it when businesses advertise for one thing and find out it's for something entirely different. They should have to disclose in the ads that they will buy estate pieces for the gold only and maybe throw in $30 or $40 for the stones. What do you bet that the nicest looking jewelry get put in their showcases with really big price tags on them and their out of pocket expense was for only the gold? read more

Be careful selling anything here! The price they offer for gold is ridiculous! I brought in a gold bracelet that I had been offered close to $1000 for at another jeweler; these people said they could only give me $425. I also had an emerald ring looked at here which they offered me $75 for. Later, I had that same ring appraised somewhere else for $2000!!! Don't be fooled. read more
