This review is based on my son's results from the NAET treatment and not the Dr. herself, as the doctor was very kind and caring. I was referred to the Lotus Wellness Center by another parent who was treated by Dr. Mala. My son has severe eczema and allergies. When we came in, he was scratching NIGHTLY for 2 hours. At the time, I thought 2 hours of interrupted sleep at night was bad, but with treatments at this place, his condition (itchiness, flares, hives) progressively got sooooo much worse!!!! We were seeing the Dr. once a week in May of 2020. After the 4th treatment, my son was scratching 7 hours at night!!!! Instead of helping his symptoms, it completely intensified it. I understand that with some treatments, it gets worse before it improves, but the symptoms increased dramatically! I contacted the office and we were told that he needs to get "retreated". I'm not sure what that means, because I felt completely lost in regards to the treatment style and what it entails. In any case, with the increase in his symptoms, I could not find myself to take him back to get more treatments. His night time scratching jumped from 2 hours nightly to 7 hours nightly after NAET treatments. He remained scratching for 7 hours EVERY NIGHT (from June-July). Benadryl and Zyrtec used to help him before NAET treatments, but after NAET, it was not effective, as his symptoms were wayyyy too intense. I was depressed and cried daily due to his condition. I prayed for him to go back to baseline (2 hours), but sadly, it still hasn't gotten back to where we were before we sought out NAET. We are currently seeing another specialist in another area of specialty and it has helped bring down the 7 hour nights to 4 hours. We're still struggling daily with my son's symptoms. After the increase in symptoms, I joined a FB NAET group to find out if the increase in symptoms occurred with other patients as well and found out a lot more about the treatment from other individuals. I wish I was more informed by the office regarding what to expect as well as what to avoid after treatment. Upon our initial visit, we were given a simple booklet, and the office staff told us that this is our first treatment and pointed to the area where my son was getting treatment on. But we weren't notified of being careful on what items to avoid after treatment. The book didn't indicate the treatments in order. Additionally, we were treated not by the order of the book, which is confusing. Furthermore, The FB NAET group mentioned something about getting the "basic 15" first, which I don't know if the center followed. Overall, it's a confusing process that made my son's symptoms worse. Dr. Mala was very kind and caring, but the treatments triggered something in my son's immune system. We are currently dealing with the increase in damage and it's dramatically affected the mood in our household. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I am here to exercise my protection rights as a consumer in a free democratic country. I looked for Dr Mala Moosad for emotional trauma and insomnia. Also mentioned that I had pain on my left leg due to a scar tissue left by a orthopedic surgery. With open mind and faith I followed the treatment and it's direction. The treatment based on holding empty bottles" full of energy" and having a percussion massage vibrator on my back followed by acupuncture treatment was difficult to understand, but I kept my mind open and faith that it could help me on my primarily concern of emotional trauma, insomnia. After the acupuncture sessions I felt relaxation, but in the last one , felt relaxation, but a sharp pain exactly in the area of the needle insertion on the left hand between the thumb and index finger. Immediately after it within minutes I saw a visible swelling on the bone joint close to the wrist, swelling that I have never had before cause directly in consequence of the acupuncture needle insertion. From the parking lot I went back to the office and showed the swollen bone joint. I was told that it would go away,to just apply ice, but It did not go away . On my next schedule session with Dr Mala she said that "emotional traumas" could cause "resistance" to the treatment and make such swelling. I was not informed that her treatment could have a negative effect, backfiring causing damage consequence of "emotional resistance to it" due to traumas; If I was informed I would have never taken a chance to undergo a treatment that could cause damage . All non sense to me... Dr Mala wanted to try treat my swelling with laser and the percussion massage vibrator on my back and make me hold the empty bottles full of healing energy. I gave her a chance, but I was loosing faith on her, on her treatment. It all seemed at that point all one size fit all, nothing credible. I stopped going back for any treatment to prevent further damage and asked for a refund, the minimum that she could do. Refund was given. Now consulting with my doctor he asked a MRI of the area( magnetic resonance imaging) of the wrist that confirmed fluid retention and damage to the bone joint - The swelling to this bone joint happened visibly IMMEDIATELY AFTER DR MALA'S ACUPUNCTURE NEEDLE INSERTION IN THE AREA- NOT DOUBTS WHATSOEVER!. Recently I asked Dr Mala to pay for my MRI insurance co-pay and the additional therapy to attempt to fix that damage that she caused directly. Request was denied alleging that I had already arthritic issues and pain. It may have been on left knee, never had on the hand - again the swelling appeared minutes after her acupuncture treatment on the spot. I have had acupuncture treatment with other doctors, four of them also for stress, insomnia. There was also needle insertion around the same area, but none of them caused any damage. At the beginning doctor appeared friendly and caring caused pain and physical damage. Had I read the her patient's review on Yelp I would not have looked for her care. MRI shows joint effusion, a possible bone cyst clearly visible from outside (the swelling that happened minutes after her acupuncture needle insertion), fluid adjacent to the 4th flexor tendon at the level of the proximal phalanx at its middle aspect. I am unsure now what will happen, what additional treatment I will need and how much it all will cost me... Very disappointing and traumatic! I looked for this doctor to treat my traumas, I have just got more traumas added and physical damage. I should have done my homework and check her reputation before trusting her with my health, my money and my peace of mind. read more

I walked into Lotus Wellness and was surprised to see that the interior is very modern and the front office staff was polite. My other chiropractor's office seemed like it was straight from the 80's and it was actually a bit of a turnoff. Dr. Moosad treated me and he was absolutely terrific.
