The salon is clean, and the nail techs are very nice and personable. I went in for the first time today and Annie did my nails. I asked if she could do a lemon design, showed it to her and she said yes. When she was done with my nails, I was horrified. I expressed to her that they weren't good, but I'm upset with myself for not expressing it enough. This is my 2nd time going to Lotus. The first time, a Lady did my nails and she did a horrible job. Eva did my pedicure and she did a good job. So now I needed a gel mani and pedi and the only person I wanted to see was Eva. These spas don't realize that one experience messes everything up and causes you to go somewhere else. The worst part is they are not cheap. For a gel mani and pedi it's over $100. Anyway, I called the spa and Eva was available to take me the same day. She did a good job on my pedi once again and that's what gives this place the 3 . The stars all belong to Eva. THE WORST EXPERIENCE! Although I am always very adamant on checking reviews before going anywhere, I only went to this place because I had a 10% discount on their services. They definitely lived up to their low yelp review rating. I clearly stated the exact services that I wanted, just GEL POLISH in addition to showing the nail tech the exact gel services on their website. I first had to stop her, as she began to start putting acrylic nails on!!! Mind you, I don't always get my nails done so when she started using some other product, I just assumed that it was something new when it comes to getting gel polish put on your nails but again I confirmed with her that the cost for just gel polish on nails. She just kept telling me yes yes and it will last long. The nail tech ended up giving me something called gel x. I had no idea what that was, but I know that I told her multiple times I only wanted gel polish. I had only intended to pay no more than $60 for services because I also had gotten a pedicure. His polish job was nice, but pulling my cuticles hurt! When I went to check out, my total was almost $90. Even with the 10% discount. Before I knew it, I had three nail techs at the front desk basically telling me what services I asked for. I just felt like all three of them were gaslighting me, and it just felt very uncomfortable! One even said that I asked for a manicure also, which obviously that was a lie because I never even got a manicure while there. The other one kept telling me how she has same the thing in her nails (which I could care less) and it last very long. I stayed calm and clearly kept it classy, but I will never go there again! I know a lot of times we can appreciate the convenience of these type of businesses, taking walk-ins and being on every corner, but most of them lack customer service and lack accountability. read more

Very disappointed in the service here. I will say they did a good job on my nails (hands and toes). First time I came my pedicurist mentioned she even felt unwelcome working there. Then my fingernail tech was on FaceTime half the time, which was a bit awkward. I guess it doesn't matter much if you do a good job, but it just added an unprofessional vibe. My second time I just came to get my dip powder nails off ($12) and nothing else. My nail tech was not happy about this. I'm assuming because of how small my bill was going to be. She scoffed when I said no thank you to manicure. When she said to wash hands, I asked if I needed soap. She said it doesn't matter. Then as I was walking away she told the nail tech and and customer next to us, "...she didn't do gel, nails, nothing so soap or no soap doesn't matter!" She seemed annoyed the entire session. This was my first time to this nail salon and I was quite pleased with it at since it was so close to my home. However, when I went to pay my bill, I was charged an extra 2% for using a credit card! We as consumers pay quite enough for everything these days and I cannot believe that this salon actually passes the cost of using a credit card on to the customer! I have since done a lot of research with nail salons in St. Cloud and even Orlando, and I have not found another salon that does this. RIGHT next to me, one seat over. I don't believe we should go in for services to be berated by the employees she was at table 79. whatever you do stay away from Jessica she thinks you shouldn't be in there to do your nails anyways. Absolutely horrible! I went in for a relaxing pedicure and nearly had every toe cut! The man didn't speak English well enough to answer my question "how much is it to get gel?" And it ended up being $15 more! I would've just gotten regular had I known--and I couldn't take a good look at the menu because the man wouldn't let me hold it myself. Even worse is that I paid cash and he couldn't give me smaller bills for change so I had to either leave a ridiculously generous tip for this terrible job or no tip at all. I didn't ask for the manager because this man could not speak English well and I finished up near their closing time. Also the "Deluxe" pedicure is not worth it compared to the pedicure below it. It didn't feel very deluxe--$45 for regular and $60 for with gel! I received no discount and the man knew he cut my toes and drew blood. Look at the photos attached. And not to continue with a bad review but he also left very sharp edges on my nails. Some of my skin he cut now gets pulled whenever I put on socks too, just so painful and terrible. It's always a relaxing and happy experience. Most recently, I got pedicure and manicure service with Mei and wow - I didn't even know I had a few ingrown toenails but she did her magic, got them out and I didn't even feel any pain but so much relief right after. I broke my nail and it left a small patch of skin and blood at the top of where my nail length begins, I came to Lotus and Jon took care of me. I was squirming because the nail burned so much from the tear, but Jon was extremely patient and nice about it. My one fixed nail also looks 50x better than the rest of my set I got done at a different salon!!! I have one fabulous thumb and 9 crazy other fingers. They have been through their share of management and staff changes, but that's all been sorted out. I definitely understand that sometimes it takes trial and error when running a business. Worst nail job I've ever had. When I first arrived, a young guy got upset when I told him I wasn't getting gel color. So he dunked my hands in scalding hot water to remove my dip nails. I had to ask someone else to please change the water because it was hurting me. Then a young lady came to do my nails. I could tell they looked so bad. I asked her to fix certain parts And she refused to fix it and asked me if I'd ever had my nails done before. She said that this was the way they were supposed to look. I was in town for a wedding and chose this nail salon based on location and reviews... what a horrible decision. I asked for a regular mani/pedi and Tony (older gentleman) did both my mani and pedi. He missed paint on my toenails and did not cut any cuticles from either my hands or feet. He smudged one of my fingernails, and when I pointed it out, told me it was "okay". He also did not use a towel under my hands while doing my mani and got cotton fibers on my freshly painted nails. When I pointed this out, he once again replied with "it's okay". I should have just purchased a $7 bottle of polish and done them myself. *edit: my sister had her mani/pedi with Tania (Hispanic woman) and had a great experience.
