This is LONG but I will be coming here every time from now on. Genuinely best nail experience I've ever had. Yesterday my mom, my uncle and I wanted to go do some self care since we just moved from Colorado to Florida 14 days ago. I called 6 nail salons and none could accommodate us at the same time, totally understand. I called joy nails and they were so kind right off the bat and got us in within 30 minutes. The salon itself was beautiful and the atmosphere was so positive. The lady next to us was a returning customer as well and the banter with David was just hilarious. We requested a pedi for my uncle (his first time and he seemed to enjoy it!) My mom and I got fresh sets. I requested a new gel x set which meant soaking off my old set, then starting a fresh one. Because I had indents in my nails due to the previous set I got in Colorado, he told me it wouldn't be safe to do gel x and acrylic would be better. He executed my French tip perfectly and his wife did my mom's flower cat eye better than anyone she's ever been to. David also made a very good point, I'm in Florida now so nails are better. However, it wasn't just that, spending money and an hour of your time somewhere can be really hard sometimes and they were great people to be around. First and last time going! I was originally impressed with my nails. The nail tech had executed the design I had wanted and retention was good. 3 weeks later I'm looking at my nails and had seen a black dot peeking through so I took that nail off and seen fungus growing on my nails. There was no lifting on this nail so this was not cause by water sitting on my nails! I've never had this happen before and am extremely disappointed!! read more

I recently moved and went to a different nail salon and I don't know what happened but my nails were broken and brittle after the builder gel came off (im sure from the move, lifting, packing and unpacking) I had never seen my nails like that before. I had the opportunity to go back home for a family event and had to go to Joy. I knew i'd be taken care of expeditiously.I left brand new and with a regimen he recommended thats already having my nails looking and feeling so much better. I was w a lady, I forgot her name. She was very good. I was a little disappointed by the price $65.00 for acrylic w a tip (black as opposed to French). Not to take away value from her work because it was truly amazingly well done, I didn't feel it was $65 worth of work. The nails have stayed on point and we're going on three weeks. Extremely rude and hostile as soon as I walked in. I never ever leave any bad reviews , but I am extremely disappointed with how they spoke to me. I came in for a soak off and he was continuously talking back and I told him I did not want him to use a fake nail to rip off my gel nails and he got annoyed and proceeded to try again. I've been going to this place for over 4 years, and I used to be served by two very nice ladies, Susan and Vicky. Unfortunately, they're no longer there, and the last two times I visited, I was served by different guys. On my most recent visit, one of the servers accidentally cut my finger, and as a diabetic, I made sure to let him know to be careful. The young gentleman was very apologetic, and I accepted his apology. However, the owner David, who speaks English, was incredibly rude. I used to buy gift certificates from them, but I won't be doing that anymore, nor will I recommend this place to anyone. Finding a good nail salon is literally about as entertaining as being on every. single. episode of The Bachelor. But alas, I've found The One. The one nail salon that gets it right, that is. No poorly trained nail tech hacking up my cuticles to a bloody mess, or making my nails look like 10 square Chiclets (remember those?). This salon just opened -- apparently under new owners -- but they seem to be getting off to a good start. I don't really understand how anyone gave this place anything but great reviews, it's a slam dunk 5 stars to me. I got my nails done (extensions and powder mani) by Dave, and he's seriously the Nail Doctor of my dreams. I got the exact sharp almond shape I wanted, which no other salon has been able to achieve, no matter how many Pinterest / Insta pics I show them. I've never gotten so many compliments as I did on this set of nails, and they lasted forever without even a chip (I kept them for 3 wks, which is a lifetime for nails). Loooove them and can't wait to go back next time I'm in Orlando (I still can't find anyone comparable in the northeast, sadly). read more

I tried going in when I got home but they were closed from Jan 3-6th. We got COVID after vacation so it delayed me getting back to the salon, but I did call and was told they would repaint all the toes when I came back in. This was my first time here and ended up with the owner yelling at me because I thought they would paint all the toes because of the timeline of events and I questioned their customer service. Went in for a pedicure and ended with a manicure as well. Very clean location and very friendly staff! Took there time and made you feel welcomed. Since Covid my feet haven't been the best so they also fixed my crack nail with a tip and it looks completely natural. Nothing negative to report definitely give them A shot! Will be back! read more

This was my first time at Joy Nails. Louis did my nails today. I love them! He did a fantastic job of tapering them for the coffin shape, and he paid so much attention to detail. One thing I wish had been clearer or on display somewhere is prices. I paid about $90 not including tip today for the acrylic full set and a deluxe pedicure. I know the pedicure was $35, because the pedicure menu said so, but I was surprised the full set was $55, because here on the Yelp it said $35, so that's what I expected. Was the removal of the nails I had before the additional $20? Again, I am not unhappy, I had a great experience, I just think a little more transparency on the issue of price might help with some confusion. But I got great service and I love my nails! She is such a caring individual, does amazing work and our favorite thing about Kim is that she is not rough when working on our nails (both hands & feet). The establishment itself is very clean, welcoming, bright and filled with beautiful plants. The staff is very attentive, their system online for booking appointments is very easy to navigate through and they also accept walk ins as well.
