When I returned to have them corrected, the response was dismissive, and I was told that the color was simply "supposed to do that." I did not feel that the quality of the service matched the price, nor was the issue handled professionally. Despite that experience, I later decided to give the salon another chance. Unfortunately, the customer service was still an issue. After the salon provided me with the wrong total--and after my friend and I had already been overcharged--the owner followed me outside to my car, knocked on my window, and demanded an additional $5. The situation could have been resolved calmly inside the salon, but the way it was handled felt unnecessarily confrontational and uncomfortable. No apology was offered for the billing confusion or the interaction afterward. I understand that mistakes happen, but how a business responds to those mistakes matters. Between the premature chipping, inconsistent billing, and poor handling of my concerns, I ultimately chose to take my business elsewhere.

Then I looked over to the right hand side of the page of the menu and saw the lower prices. "What's this side for?" She said, "Oh, that's are add ons for pedicures." Lies. It was the more basic and cheaper options for pedicures. Their basic Rapido Pedicure was $35. The next highest one was $43. My mom kept saying, I just want the basic. The woman pointed to the expensive side of the menu and said, "Don't you want this one instead?" pointing to the second highest option. She said, "No, all I want is my toenails cut. I don't even want polish." She said, "Oh, so maybe you want this option instead?" and pointed to the next tier down (still expensive). My mom said again, "No, I just want the basic one." At this point, I had to chime in and say, "She's boring. She doesn't want any nail polish or massage, just her nails clipped basically." The woman finally stopped and gave up. As for me, I decided to get the $43 pedicure, which is the one above the Rapido one. My nail tech also tried to swindle me. She said, "Don't you want to try the..." and tried to point to the more expensive side as well. I said, " No, I'm good. I want this one." She attempted a second time to point to another one that was expensive and said, "Are you sure you don't want this one? It's really worth it." I had to put my foot down and snap that menu closed. I spent approximately five hours at the salon, from around 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and paid about $100 before tip for a gel fill with ombré chrome and a gel pedicure. I tried to remain patient while my nails were redone multiple times, but the polish continued to bubble and crack. Even after several attempts, the final result was uneven, inconsistent, and did not match the colors I originally selected. The salon initially offered 10% off a future service, but that offer was withdrawn after I requested a refund for the $15 chrome upgrade that had not been done correctly. Because I had received a 5% cash discount on the original purchase, I was refunded only $14. Regardless of the calculation, the entire interaction felt frustrating after spending so much time trying to get the service corrected. Unfortunately, the problems continued after I left. The nails that had been repeatedly redone began cracking shortly afterward, and they felt noticeably thin from being worked on so many times. At that point, the service felt like a complete waste of both time and money. The most disappointing part was not simply that mistakes happened, but that multiple attempts to fix them still did not produce acceptable results. I also did not feel that the customer-service response appropriately reflected the amount of time I spent there or the poor final outcome. Based on the quality, durability, and handling of the situation, I would not return. I know it is new and just opened, and based on the pictures I saw posted on social media, it looks promising. I booked an appointment for my mother and me around 11 AM on a Saturday. We showed up at 10:55 AM and didn't get seen until 11:22 PM. I found this a bit irritating, since what is the point of booking an appointment if you're not seen in a timely manner? In addition, it looks as if this place is understaffed. At most, there were seven employees working on clients when we arrived, and about three clients were waiting to be seen in addition to ourselves. Let's discuss the pros. First of all, the establishment is very beautiful. The room is beautifully decorated. They have exquisite decor and plenty of pedicure chairs and manicure stations. They have gorgeous chandeliers and bar stations where you can get drinks and snacks. Additionally, I was very pleasantly surprised by their selection of nail colors. However, the negatives outweigh the positives. If you are a plus-size individual or elderly, the pedicure stations may not be for you. My mother, being older and plus-size, had difficulty fitting into the chairs and stepping up onto the tall step to get into them. She informed me afterwards that she didn't really enjoy her experience since she was uncomfortable during most of it. Furthermore, she tried to tell her pedicurist not to dig into the corner of her nail bed, but he either ignored or misunderstood her request and contradicted her. As for me, I got a basic dip manicure, and my manicurist was interesting...I found him to be a bit unprofessional. First, he was complaining to me about a client he had just dealt with who hadn't even left the establishment. I understand sometimes you have to deal with bad clients, but I don't think it's appropriate to discuss them with other clients, and even while they're still in the same building. He also asked me about the previous nail salon I frequented, which he apparently had worked at before. He then continued ranting about how terrible that place was. Finally, he then tried to coerce me into writing a positive review on Google to get a, wait for it, free lotion pack. Oh, wow, how exciting! I finally realized in this moment that all those five-star reviews on Google were starting to make sense. Overall, my dip manicure was mediocre at best -- nothing to write home about. I usually get dip powder with extensions along with a basic pedicure, and I'm always happy with the results. They offer just about every nail service you can think of, along with a wide variety of pedicure options, so there's something for everyone whether you're stopping in for a quick refresh or a full pampering session. What makes Honey Nail Bar even better is the convenience. I used to drive all the way to Lake Nona for my nail appointments, but now I finally have an excellent salon close to home that delivers the same quality experience. When I arrived, there was confusion about my appointment and told to wait that the tech was almost done and I was left sitting there for an entire hour with my shoes off, only to eventually be told they didn't have an appointment for me and at this point everyone was servicing other walk ins who came in after. My boyfriend came in as a walk-in with me, got a full pedicure, and finished before anyone even started on me. They could have simply been honest and told me there was a scheduling issue, and I would have understood and just took any tech available when i first got there. Instead, they wasted my time and treated me like my time didn't matter. Nobody took responsibility for the mix-up, nobody genuinely apologized, and there was no attempt to make the situation right. Even when I was leaving, the manager couldn't even properly acknowledge me or look me in the face while apologizing. Just continued doing someone's toes and said sorry about that... The complete lack of communication or customer service was terrible. No real apology, no attempt to fix the situation, and I ultimately left without receiving any service after waiting over 1 hr i left in tears.. I went to a different Nail Spa nearby afterward and had a MUCH better experience. Cleaner, more modern, better customer service, proper sanitation, and they got me in and out efficiently. Extremely disappointing experience. I would never return and definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.
