5/5 service and food. We loved our experience at Lotus. Such a cute restaurant in the middle of the chaos. Felt totally away from the hotel and casino. I ordered the lobster fried rice and my boyfriend got lo mein and dumplings. We absolutely recommend trying this place for yourself. Make sure to make a reservation. On weekends they are packed! We'll be back!

Nice ambience and good service. The two servers were short staffed and did a great job getting to everyone in the crowded restaurant. Onto the meal. Wonton soup was nice I liked it, the steak Kew nice flavor but a lot of fatty pieces, the sticky fried ribs we were not a fan. They were salty and didn't have that nice rib sweet taste.

We stayed in Kartrite and when my family was asking to have a nice dinner and don't like the food in Kartrite my wife looked up the internet and we ended here. I am not really familiar in hanging out in casinos maybe because I am not a good player. I prefer putting my money in other investements such as trading stocks, putting this aside... We had a reservation and when we arrived a bit 20 minutes early kinda funny the usher who greeted us when we arrived said we are a bit early and we can come back again in 20 minutes but then the usherette (must be higher ranking than him) contrasted this and told him there's available one and they proceeded on guiding us to the table. This is our first time to be here by the way. The ambiance has asian feel and that is what we expect. We were greeted by an asian waitress and we told her the food we would like to have. She was attentive and after 5 minutes the waiter gave us the water for the kids and the adult's green tea and seltzer. After another coulple of minutes he got back with our soup and maybe a good 10 minutes later the waiter has the rest of the food and set it on our table. The Lotus wonton soup is a bit salty but so good. The lo mein is a bit upscale compared to other chinese restaurant we have went to. It has a lot of onions but my son and daughter loved it... after setting aside the onions. The salt and pepper pork chop is good and I love the balance and enough crispiness of it. The Crystal Shrimp is good and together with the walnut it add some fanciness to it. So overall the food taste is good and the staffs are good as well. I already expected their price is a bit higher considering they are located in a casino. One thing is that when I got the bill I noticed that the geatuity was automatically added but when I got the final receipt for me to sign I noticed another gratuity line appeared again. Just my opinion, it seems like a double dipping of gratuity in here. I have seen this strategy in NY chinatown before.

We walked in to have a nice dinner. I wanted the crab fried rice and she said they were out of it. Okay, whatever. I opted for the vegetable Lo mein.My husband ordered the Chicken pad Thai. Well. 35 minutes later, Our food came and they brought his chicken pad Thai and vegetable fried rice. Ughh. She offered to have them make the right dish. But I don't want to wait another 30 minutes for something that was such a simple order in the first place. We are staying in the hotel, so no where to store it anyway. So frustrating! 2 items. Not hard to get it right.

Like all Asian fusion restaurants are the variety is ok but food is very salty. Not very authentic. Hit or miss on the dishes. Shrimp Pad Thai was good. HoFun was salty, crispy walnut prawn but was good served over bland almost raw broccoli. Calamari was nice n crispy, honey spare ribs were chewy. Service was ok. The lamb had a strange cumin flavor.

The food taste pretty good. My favorite is the honey ribs from the appetizer & the pad Thai. This is basically Asian Fushion. Different regions of China & Thailand.

This was supposed to be the highlight of my day in the casino but it ends up it was just a poor choice. I ordered quite a bit as I usually do to sample the menu so today I ordered the wonton soup, crab meat soup, chicken pad thai and braised scallops. The soup came out in a 'bowl' the size of coffee cup, I was like oh brother but then I tasted it and I was like Wow... the wontons were very good! It had scallops and all the regular items from there. I was impressed. That goes for the crab meat soup too.... but it was short lived. My Pad Thai sucked. It was bland and dead. The chicken was done cooking probably yesterday. I threw some hot chili sauce on it to give it CPR but it still flatlined... the braised scallops were good though overcooked... and the sauce was overdone.... as in not fresh. A very disappointing time and just over $100 wasted. BTW.... when you add a 20% gratuity for me when it's just me and not some huge group or special gathering, you lose my business FOREVER. I will not return with the exception of going to the Cellaio Steakhouse... the aged beef in the window is like crack to me....

Yeah so this was my local chinese food place growing up, so i'm biased. They are my reference for…read morewhat i always thought chinese food was. I love the place, and the people. They recognize me when i walk in even though i don't patronize them more than any other place and i only eat out of home once a week or so. Anyways, the best thing about this place is that once they know you, you can just tell them exactly how you want something made. Like when you go to a new chinese place and order something really spicy. And you make faces and fan your mouth to explain that you really mean business and then when you get it you wonder why the fuck you acted like an idiot, because they obviously didn't understand or just ignored you..... well these people listen. when i tell them i want ginger+garlic with wonton broth they don't look at me funny. when i want spicy they know to make it spicy. if i ask for cashews on my szechuan beef they do it. standard chinese place prices and selection. spend $10 get free can of soda $20-$25 always landed me a bottle. the worst thing i can say is it's a little dingy (especially when you go to wash your hands, try to do it before you go) but it's not dirty dingy. it's more well worn high turn over dingy. previous reviewer was correct about turnaround. it is ALWAYS 10-15 minutes. no matter what. i've seen that place packed with 4 or 5 people also waiting at the counter and i still got my food in 15 minutes.

Amazing food. Hits the spot every time and it's always ready fast, the owners are efficient and…read morenice.

Amazing! Great authentic Chinese food! (Szechuan cuisine)…read more The owners are super nice if you eat in, but I usually get it door dashed over. Portions are large and the food is well cooked and fresh! I usually get the chengdu chicken, the beef with fresh hot veggies and the egg plant with garlic. Usually whatever is on the Szechuan cuisine list is my go to lol! Definitely a great addition to Middletown! Go try it out! Won't be disappointed!

I found the guy at counter very friendly and made sure your order was correct, always a pleasure…read morefor someone to enjoy there job and make sure the customer comes first, plus after I got my food I was thanked and he said please come back again to try our food. Definitely I will. So the warm Dan Dan noodles were good, well spiced, but not overwhelming and noodles themselves were chewy. Sizzling shrimp, first huge jumbo shrimp so very generous on portions, plus cooked just right and bathe completely in the sauce, plenty of diced onions and peppers and mildly spicy over all. Chicken in chili oil was my favorite, I mean a whole cut chicken fit in that container, both white and dark meat, was tender and moist, plus the chili oil was just right spicy level without being assertive. This place I find special considering it's more of authentic Chinese cuisine rather than the typical Americanized version, that alone is a big draw for this place.
