However, our communication didn't result in what I hoped for and I was quite sad. Now the "selling point" for me - a senior level stylist stepped in, listened to my concerns, gave some pointers to the first stylist, and totally turned the whole experience around. In essence I ended up with two complete haircuts without ever being made to feel like an idiot, and left quite happy. This is the first time in my entire (long) life that I've experienced a salon which truly seemed to CARE that I was totally satisfied before I left and I am very grateful for that.

She wasn't use to thick hair or an angle Bob. I lost 6 inches of the front of my hair which had took a while to achieve with a angle Bob. She asked if she could cut a inch, which is fine. But that didn't happen she accidentally over cut on one side but at this point the hack job was done. I was clear at this point she didn't know what to. She did get the salon owner over but at this point I was fighting back tears. The owner did what she could but I know look like Andy Warhol. I hate my hair so much, it is the worst haircut I've had since I was in my 20s at an ultracut.

She referred to the bang style I wanted as hooker bangs (unless I misheard), which was a little odd, but I chose to ignore it. She didn't use any product on my hair, at all. Not for the blow dry or before using the flat iron. Not cool. My bangs turned out pretty horribly, even after I showed her a picture of me with what I consider to be perfect bangs. I should have just told her to leave them when she referred to my bangs as the most complicated trim she's ever done. I didn't think a straight, blunt bang was that hard. The lengths are also a bit of a mess. There was one section that had a huge piecey chunk that wasn't blended at all. She did attempt to fix it when I pointed it out, buyout still looks chunky and uneven. I finally told her it was fine, paid, and left. I didn't think tines going to get better, and I didn't want to risk losing more hair. Why two stars and not one? She listened to me blab about nothing and actually talked back. She was friendly. This is not the worst cut I've had. Will I be back? No. Have I made and appointment somewhere else to get it fixed? Yes. Am I more upset than I should be? Probably. Alas, do not try a new salon on your anniversary. It's not worth the risk.

So I was sent back to the sink so they can wet my hair again but they pulled my hair so badly that I nearly cried... what was the point of that?! Shadified need's to be more organized. One hair dresser per customer and they see them through the whole process. It's an absolute madhouse in there. AND my hair looks HORRIBLE. Looks NOTHING like my reference photo. The colour is nice and thats IT. I have naturally curly hair and my reference photo was natural curl.. my hair is HARD AS A ROCK and STRAIGHT. I will never go back there. Nor will I ever recommend this place. This was my first time getting my hair dyed. What a horrible experience. BAD VIBE.

The salon is clean and bright, but has a welcoming unpretentious atmosphere that I appreciate. They serve coffee and tea, and had a ring pop for my little that she definitely appreciated.
