Melissa was warm and friendly without being intrusive or awkward and explained the process very thoroughly and to the point. The service itself was what I expected it to be (sugaring/waxing = hair being ripped from follicles, so that's never a fun time), but she made sure I was comfortable and even had me laughing more than a few times. The studio is clean - like sparkling clean and intimate without being cramped. She also offers a great selection of facials and I'll be booking one soon. I tried contacting a few people but Christina Petrole at Bare was the only one who returned my calls and was willing to work with my schedule. She's very kind and understanding, especially with all the cancellations I had to do. Her office is gorgeous, the entire spot is nicely decorated covered in beautiful artwork. Every time I walk in I automatically feel at ease from the set-up, to the music, and her overall presence. I love coming here and I always leave with the cutest head wraps! She also offers you water right when you walk in and that always helps relax me. At first, the only service I came here for was a Brazilian wax, now I come here and do my legs and lips as well! Christina does such a great a job, I can't help but purchase more services from her. I waxed my legs one time before and it wasn't such a good experience, but when Christina does it, you can't even tell! Waxing my upper lip has been amazing too! I swear, anything she touches, doesn't hurt. If you ask me, that's VERY important when looking for a great wax person!!!

I show up to the appointment and I couldn't find the door which goes to Bloom's office. It was raining heavily, and I desperately needed to use the restroom, so I left to go do that. I figured I'd reschedule and try and figure out how to get in when I called them , no big deal. Then they call me and asked what happened, I told them, and they laid the cancellation policy on me, so I just told them, I'll see you in court.

Excellent!! I have been wanting to try a Brazilian for years and have been a little nervous to do…read moreso. I am heading out to a tropical vacation and decided to finally get one. Looked on Yelp and Olympia Wax Bar has amazing reviews, especially for Pamalee. I made an online appt which was super easy as their website and reservation system is very user friendly and simple to use. I received reminders leading up to the day of my appt which I appreciated. The spa is very clean, minimalistic, and welcoming. I loved all the humorous signs and products they offer. Pamalee was on time and very nice to talk to. She made me feel very comfortable and eased my nerves. I have never had a Brazilian so I don't know what to compare it with but based on how painful everyone says it is I would say she is amazing because, although not comfortable, the pain was relatively quick and was short lived. Pamalee is a professional and has been waxing a long time and it shows in how she explained things, how efficient she was, and how comfortable she made me feel in what could be a vulnerable and embarrassing procedure. The prices seemed on par with normal prices in the area for similar services. Easy parking. The business is right next to Outback Steakhouse. Lots of appointment times in the convenient hours they are open. Especially if you book in advance. All told, I am a fan! I'll be back next time I need some waxing done! Yelp comes through once again!

I received a confirmation text for a 12:15 pm check-in so we could be done by 2:30 pm. I think everything is straight here. I get a call the day before saying I need to be there at 10:30 am and that my appointment was moved. Pretty inconvenient when you have your freaking wedding day planned out already. We still made it work. Showed up and we were not greeted. No one was to be found. Waited around for about ten mins and finally got put in chairs for hair. Sarah (who did my hair) was friendly enough. I think she did her best and wanted me to feel good about my hair so thank you. The girl who did my sisters hair (Deja) was obviously less experienced and needed to almost be talked through the whole thing. Even on how to use a bobby pin. We asked for curls and some hair pulled back into twists. Mine was okay but my sister's was curled in some places and straight in others. Also, due to the time being moved up, we had to try and make the look last until 5 pm. Moved on to makeup and waited again for another 15 minutes or so. Finally someone pulls me over and starts. I forget her name but she was friendly enough too. My sister kept waiting for Sydney to come out and start on hers. After probably waiting another 10 mins, she comes out and asks what my sister wants. She said she wanted full makeup and Sydney responds to her with "why don't you just do it yourself". Excuse me?? We came here and made appointments for these services then you tell us to do it ourselves. Needless to say, my sister walked out. Other than Sarah and my makeup girl, the girls that work here are just kinda rude and don't do a very good job. I'm disappointed because it was my wedding day and they made something fun to be super stressful. Also, the pricing is not very clearly listed. They charged me for a wash and dry but we came in with washed and dried hair. Clueless all the way around. Maybe this place works for a regular Tuesday hair trim but DONT come here for your wedding day. Can't say I will return either way.
