This salon was recommended to me by a friend and I'm so glad I finally made an appointment…read more Tracy was recommended to me by my friend and wow, she really listened to me and I got exactly what I was hoping for: a light cleanup of too many haphazard layers from a different stylist at a different salon (the irony here is that I had gone to this other salon to fix an even more botched up haircut from a totally different salon!). Anyway, two haircuts with Tracy and I seriously cannot say enough positive things about her. I went shorter the second time to even out the layers and the result was a super cute bob. Sassy! I love how she suggested going slowly with the length but I was like, "Nope, cut it shorter" lol. She was game and I loved it. Heading back again soon. Excited. The salon is adorable. Check out the paper lanterns hanging toward the back. Sculptural and pretty. All the stylists are fun. And...if you are in to non-alcoholic libations, walk through to the other side to browse a huge selection. Oh, first appointment was in late winter and parking can be a bit challenging when there is a ton of snow and you have to walk across ice. So that's the only pain point. But heck, this year the snow was off the charts.

Bella came off as very passive aggressive and honestly very aggressive at some points like whilst she was brushing my hair. My hair is curly and bleached making it very dry, Bella ignored this and brushed my hair very rough to the point i respectfully had to ask if i could de-tangle my hair myself to save myself the breakage she was going to create by brushing so rough (curly bleached hair or not i don't believe anyone's hair should be brushed in such matter.) after this, the bleach and tone begun. my hair lifted orange from the bleach, i as a client decided to ignore it although and let the professional handle it before saying anything (mistake).. after toning my hair my hair was still orange as presented below. i went to go to a different place to get my roots touched up today and my hairstylist even pointed out the what he called "banding" and kindly offered to fix it for me, i accepted the kind gesture as well as the extra cost to fix it. i added a photo of how my roots looked in comparison to his work compared to bella's. i truly did not want to have to make this review but after the amazing experience i had at a new salon today i feel as though i was giving no choice.. please be cautious of who you book with in short notice.

I felt welcomed right when I walked in. Staff was attentive. I went in for extensions, and Jann helped me get reedy. She's really good at what she does, and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to extensions. I had come in with lots of horror stories of extensions, but Jan was very professional and assured me that she knew what she was doing. There is a dog, a very friendly one too, so if you're not an animal person I wouldn't recommend that you come here (which by the way doesn't shed, so it's hygienic). The final product looked incredible. I'm so happy I came in. Never before would I have thought my hair could look so great! Thanks Jan so much! P.s. They have really great products too, and seem to be knowledgeable which ones to use since I had no idea what to buy after I got my extensions done.

She also did an amazing job on my color and hair still feels silky soft. The space is nice and all the staff were wonderful. It's a woman owned business which is a plus! The price point was affordable and I wasn't pushed to buy any products. I will definitely be back and I'm so excited to find a place/stylist that is just all around fantastic.

I hope this will help you make an informed decision about getting services at Salon Ori…read more Here we go: I met with Anne Magnuson for a haircut, liked her and the cut, and went back for a partial balayage ($180 after automatic gratuity) to achieve a pale pink color (see photo). The result was a slightly darker color than this, but I liked it. I've had many color jobs in my life--permanent, semi- & demi-permanent, henna, color depositing conditioners. I didn't touch my hair for 48 hours, and then rinsed it with water as cold as I could tolerate. Immediately, there was noticeable fade. Over the next 9 days, I washed it a couple times with cool water and color-safe products I'd used with previous color jobs. All the pink left, leaving a mix of gold/yellow/bleached color and my natural, salt and pepper (see photos). Even the Punky Color brand of depositing conditioner lasts longer. I reached out to Anne. Her first recommendation was to come in and pay for a glossing service ($90 before automatic gratuity). It was 11 days after the dye job. She blamed my products. I sent her photos of the ingredient lists, she didn't comment. I asked for a recommendation of a product I could put in myself. She recommended some shampoo/conditioner and a color-depositing product that wasn't available. I let her know, and asked her how long she had expected the color to last anyway. She made another recommendation, and didn't respond to my question. At this point, it was clear she was only interested in recommending additional purchases, and was ignoring my questions about how the dye she put in my hair was expected to function. She blamed my color-safe products, but wouldn't support this with any comment on the ingredient lists I sent. I had actually told her what I use for color-safe shampoo at our appointment, and her only comment was "I didn't know they (the company) made that." Nothing else. No suggestion of any specific products. So, I reiterate to her: 1) After 48 hours, noticeable fade started after just rinsing with cold water; 2) Did she see any red flags in the ingredient lists? 3) How long was the color product she used supposed to last anyway? Her response: politely telling me she won't work with me anymore. And again, no response to these reasonable questions. I reached out to the owner, who tells me "I'm sorry you were disappointed" and that she stands by Anne and also "as she is an independent stylist, I don't get involved in her business." Wow! So, if you're going to book a service at Salon Ori, be careful! If it doesn't go right, chances are they will not address your questions, they'll just want you to buy more stuff, and then tell you in polite terms to **** off. Now I'm going to go put a Moroccan Oil product in my hair--I should have done that in the first place.

But the best one is my girl Mack, who I've been seeing for about two years. We started out with cuts and color, but we've progressed to extensions. Y'all- she is a color genius. The skill it takes to color match my extensions to my roots is incredible. She offers fair prices, and the conversation is always top-notch! (I had bad brow waxing experiences in the past.) I tried Heidi at Jaide after reading yelp reviews and am glad I did. She did a fantastic job. She listens to your input about whether you want you brows to be thicker, let certain parts grow in more, etc. Since first trying Heidi, my "regular" opened up a new shop. After returning to my regular gal for a brow wax, I realized how much bang I got for my buck with Heidi, and have since returned to Heidi and will continue to for as long as she works at Jaide.
