I decided to try Elements Massage on Holman mainly due to its convenience of being close to home. I was scheduled to see Emily, and have been seeing her since then. What I appreciate about Emily is that she takes the time to educate you on not only the cause of pain and tension, but ways to improve your self-care at home: utilizing ice packs, stretches, salt soaks, etc. Incorporating these in my own routines has made a huge improvement in my post recovery workouts and back/neck tension. At my last session, I was feeling so tired that I told Emily I felt like I will pass out on the table. I let Emily do her magic and she delivered giving me nice, relaxing full-body massage. It was such a great treat, and a testimony, on how much my back/neck tension has improved in few months. I enjoyed it so much that I booked a 90 min session with Emily next month. While you can book single sessions, the membership at Elements is such a great deal. I went with the $99/month for one 60 min session which can carry over, gift to a friend, or you can pay a little extra to extend the time. At the end when I paid, she insisted I give a 20% tip because she "took great care" in my massage. I work in the service industry. You NEVER demand a tip. How ridiculous!! I love that I can ask her for the sciencey-answer to what she's doing or what muscles are locked up; it empowers me to learn more about my body and how to care for it afterwards! The spa itself offers convenient online booking, it's very clean and peaceful (and looks down onto the ocean!), and their customer service is top notch. I use their Wellness Plan option, which offers a year of monthly massage appointments for a slight discount. Love it!! I hope this place stays here forever.
