The price was very reasonable and we were able to cook breakfast in the morning.

It was so nicely put together and the attention to details were definitely appreciated. The cabin came with everything you may need, while keeping it clean and organized. I loved the little touches like having puzzles and kid books in the loft. The touches of making it 'bird themed' were just enough, and didn't make you feel like you were in a Hitchcock movie. While this was a kid free weekend for us, we definitely could see it being perfect for a family as well. Everything was well maintained. Communication with the staff was fantastic and we were really able to unplug and unwind. If you do get antsy and want to go shopping or exploring, Lake Lure is just a short drive away. We wish we could buy one for ourselves lol. The views aren't substantial, but the location was prime for reaching all of our destinations easily. This layout and floor plan easily accommodated all of us comfortably. If you are worried about space, don't even sweat it. I bet it could fit double with zero issues. All the amenities worked and Jeanette is so timely in responses and getting our needs met. There is something for everyone, seriously. The only bad thing you could possibly say is that the roads to get into the cabins is a bit confusing and a bit technical to drive with a full size truck and trailer. However, once you're in, you just hate to leave. I found at the end of every long day of riding, I was so happy to get to come home to Wildflower cabin #1 as my home. We checked in with friends who rented another cabin #7 and they raved about it as well. Look no further for your family lodging needs, this is the place you are looking for! =)

It was a perfect place for our family to vacation and we really enjoyed exploring all of the sights along the Blue Ridge Parkway. We even got Elk Slobbered by a very loving, yet large mammal. We fell in love with the area and specifically with this exceptionally cute and private cabin. So much so that we found out it was for sale and bought it two weeks ago. It has been a great experience adding our personal touch to make it the cabin of our dreams. My wife and daughter and I hope you will love it as much as we have. We stayed in the Honeymoon Deluxe for a much needed getaway. It was perfect! We would not…read morehesitate to stay again. We were only there for a weekend, so we didn't use the kitchen, dvd player, etc. But, we did use the hot tub! Nights and mornings were in the 50's and breezy (aka cold wind!) and the hot tub was great for both morning and night. The creek running past is calming and drowns out any sounds from town. The convenience of the location with the privacy, make this cabin perfect. As others have commented on their website, the cleanliness was amazing! The hot tub was already hot when we showed up and there was a treat in the fridge, yummy! The drive to Cherokee is easy, and passes by Bearmeats Indian Den, one of the few shops with real hand crafted goods. Be sure to stop by there. The furniture was comfortable. Furniture and décor is typical styling for a rental cabin, but in much better shape than many I have seen. The pictures are true to what is there. I slept so soundly in the bed, I didn't even wake during the rainstorm. The kitchen, although we didn't use it, was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. needed for cooking. Plenty of silverware, plates, cups, and mugs for 2-4 people. Washer and drier were great to have available. We used the dryer and it worked fine. We did not use the grill, but there is one available. There is one flaw, and that is the shower. It is small. My husband is 6' and ~170lbs and it was tight. The shower served its purpose, but if you are larger, consider one of their other cabins. This shower would not deter us from coming again, we absolutely would! I just want to include that so others can pick which cabin is perfect for them. Madeline clearly takes pride in her cabins and will gladly help you pick out the right one. When I called, I had it narrowed down to 2 and she told me more about each. She wanted to make sure we loved it as much as she does.

Excellent stay! Second time at Asheville Cottaged and we cannot say enough about the experience. They think of everything to make your experience top notch! We arrived and were feeling a little snacky. No problem! The snack tree and variety of waters/soft drinks/juiced beverages in the fridge were welcome! We browsed the binder for suggestions on where to grab dinner. After dinner at White Duck Taco, we stopped Ingles for a few groceries. Of course, Tracie and Marshall made sure each cottage had an Ingels savings card to use! Need a battery? Under the kitchen sink. Ziplock bag? Yep..,check a drawer in kitchen. They think of everything you may need and have it on hand for you! Loved the soaking tub! Loved the heated bathroom floor. Loved heated toilet seat. Accidentally hit a button on the bidet in the middle of the night and got a little surprise rinse off. . The big surprises were seeing a few bears late one afternoon behind the cottage (Magnolia). Thankfully, we just sat quietly on the deck and they looked at us and took off for the woods. Overall, it was a great trip and on the flight home, I started to look at availability to come back for a girls trip later in the Fall with my sister and niece. But before I could book anything, Hurricane Helene severely impacted the area. My heart breaks for all the families who lost loved ones in this disaster. By finding them on social media to see if they were ok, I found out that thankfully Asheville Cottages did not sustain much damage due to their location. Since Asheville tourism is essentially stopped, Tracie and Marshall have graciously opened their cottages to local families who have been displaced by the hurricane as they still have electricity and water. They also are still paying their employees salaries during this time (as they did during Covid) - taking care of them like family. THIS is exactly the kind of small business that my husband and I are proud to support so we will be staying at Asheville Cottages next time we come to Asheville...whenever that can happen.
