My husband and I stayed in the Americana and Lazy River Cabin this past weekend and I miss it already. Very relaxing time with no worries from booking to check out. Beautiful location next to the river with very clean and updated cabins.

We loved our stay at the cabin! We can not wait to go back... The river was just so relaxing and the cabin so cozy... I have fond memories of waking up in the morning, drinking my coffee in front of the fireplace, moving to the porch as it warmed when the sun came up, and watching the ducks play in the river..

    View from our deck

We spent 3 nights at the Rocky River Cabin. This cabin was clean, well kept and fairly new! They weren't joking when we read it was right on the river. You could even fish from the deck, but would probably have to deal with a lot of tangles with the line. The French Broad River is beautiful and very relaxing at night, listening to the flow of the river. The deck was broad and expansive. We spent the majority of our time out there - eating, drinking, playing guitar, cards....you name it! Outdoor furniture was very comfortable. The cabin is equipped with a gas grill and gas fire pit too. There is also a place where you can build a fire outdoors, but we didn't do that. This place is small. It would sleep four with a pull out couch, but it would be cramped with four adults, especially because there is not a lot of room for luggage and such. It is a perfect accommodation for two people. Bed was very comfy as was living room furniture. Melissa and Brian are very nice and quick to respond to any questions or requests. Convenient to Asheville and many hiking trails. Highly recommended!

Excellent stay! Second time at Asheville Cottaged and we cannot say enough about the experience. They think of everything to make your experience top notch! We arrived and were feeling a little snacky. No problem! The snack tree and variety of waters/soft drinks/juiced beverages in the fridge were welcome! We browsed the binder for suggestions on where to grab dinner. After dinner at White Duck Taco, we stopped Ingles for a few groceries. Of course, Tracie and Marshall made sure each cottage had an Ingels savings card to use! Need a battery? Under the kitchen sink. Ziplock bag? Yep..,check a drawer in kitchen. They think of everything you may need and have it on hand for you! Loved the soaking tub! Loved the heated bathroom floor. Loved heated toilet seat. Accidentally hit a button on the bidet in the middle of the night and got a little surprise rinse off. . The big surprises were seeing a few bears late one afternoon behind the cottage (Magnolia). Thankfully, we just sat quietly on the deck and they looked at us and took off for the woods. Overall, it was a great trip and on the flight home, I started to look at availability to come back for a girls trip later in the Fall with my sister and niece. But before I could book anything, Hurricane Helene severely impacted the area. My heart breaks for all the families who lost loved ones in this disaster. By finding them on social media to see if they were ok, I found out that thankfully Asheville Cottages did not sustain much damage due to their location. Since Asheville tourism is essentially stopped, Tracie and Marshall have graciously opened their cottages to local families who have been displaced by the hurricane as they still have electricity and water. They also are still paying their employees salaries during this time (as they did during Covid) - taking care of them like family. THIS is exactly the kind of small business that my husband and I are proud to support so we will be staying at Asheville Cottages next time we come to Asheville...whenever that can happen.

This a top notch B&B owned and operated by a very kind, caring, attentive and lovely owner Randy…read more My husband researched and found this absolutely gorgeous B&B and surprised me with an overnight trip to Asheville. First off, be aware the uphill road leading up to the B&B is narrow and does accommodate cars going up and coming down it. There is a community around the B&B, but there is so many trees and foliage, you really never see any of the other houses as they are spread out amongst the hills. Once you arrive at the parking lot of the B&B you feel as though you have been transported far away within its own space and hill/mountain area. Upon approach to the inviting double front doors, you are greeted by gorgeous gardens and an inviting porch. We rang the door bell and our host Randy opened and greeted us. We explained everyone we needed to know about the drinks available to us free (soft drinks) along with a cute coco-cola bucket filled with ice, glasses (wine & soda), coffee which is available all day along with sweeteners & creamer, tea bags and everything needed for such drinks. Also said there would be fresh cookies later afternoon for us to enjoy. On our stay, we enjoyed Raspberry Bars delish!! Our room was cozy and we slept amazing even in a queen bed (no saggy mattress). Each room has a back screen door which leads to a somewhat narrow patio. Which enables you to sit and admire and sit looking out over the absolutely gorgeously manicured gardens with mature trees, shrubs (both flowering and non-flowering), beautiful flowers, bird watch etcetera. It is so tranquil and peaceful while sitting and relaxing. Our room and bathroom was very clean and stocked with the necessary toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body soap, Q-tips, cotton balls and a makeup remover towel). On the main floor, there is a much larger patio to enjoy with a propane fire pit, comfy rocker chairs and non-rocking along with heat lanterns. There is a nice outside covered patio with high top tables to enjoy breakfast, wine, etcetera overlooking the large expansive gardens as well. Truly it was a beautiful B&B. There is a pool table, a large TV, music even a guitar (if you play) in the very over large "living room" for guests to enjoy with plenty of cozy chairs, sofa, rockets to nestle in. Great area to visit, drink hot coffee, wine etcetera. Definitely will be back on our travels into NC. Randy, thanks for making our stay so memorable and enjoyable.

It's perfectly decorated, cozy and the layout is very family-friendly or bachelorette/bachelor party-friendly with several huge communal areas. My kids went wild over the tree house bunk room and the master suite is incredible. We LOVED the view from the hot tub! There were LOTS of things I loved about the house, but I was really impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked with quality items. I usually bring my own serving platters, knives, trash bags, paper towels, etc. and we never even had to unpack any of those items. The kitchen had everything you could need -- from a variety of coffee to ziploc bags to massive serving platters. The rest of the house was thoughtfully stocked too with things like laundry detergent, shampoo & conditioner, firewood, etc. Another feature that was hugely helpful was every thing was labeled in the house -- all of the remotes, switches, speaker system, wi-fi, etc. Lastly, Jay (the owner) is an incredible host. He had his phone number posted in several places so you can easily reach him and was a breeze to work with.

Let me start by saying that Jay, the owner of the 3 Upstream Way homes (Penthouse, Bachelorette,…read moreBohemian), is amazing. He has built a beautiful oasis of upscale, modern, cozy homes overlooking the French Broad River and the grounds of the Biltmore Estate. I highly encourage you to book 1-3 of his side by side homes (soon to be 4!) for your family, friends, celebration, etc. He spared no expensive in constructing and decorating the homes and it shows. I wish I could live full time in any of his houses. They have literally any amenity you could need and then some. No detail is too small for him to notice. We booked his 3 houses to hosts guests in lieu of an isolating hotel block for our wedding. Our friends were super excited- we planned to put friend groups together in different houses and it was going to be a reunion weekend for so many people! Sadly we had to cancel because of the pandemic- but that can't stop me from recommending Jay's accommodations. In addition to staying at one of the houses ourselves, we were going to hold the ceremony at the end of the road directly adjacent to the houses. Jay was incredibly generous with his time, giving us tours of the property, discussing modifications to fit our needs, figuring out bed arrangements to fit our guests, etc. We had several calls and meetings with him over the course of a year as we planned our wedding on his property. Of all the people we worked with over the course of planning the wedding, he was the one we felt the most confident about in terms of seeing our plans through. Such a friendly guy! He really care about making sure you have a great time during your stay. If you're just looking for a few days vacation in Asheville, it's the perfect spot. Great house, great location. Borrow his inner tubes and go for a ride down the French Broad River to the New Belgium Brewery. Relax in the hot tub. Enjoy the high quality, high tech amenities. Perfect for friends, families, anyone. If you're looking to plan something more than just a few days vacation- whether it be a wedding, corporate retreat, reunion, etc- this is the place. Jay will help with whatever you need to make your special event function smoothly. I truly can't recommend him enough. He's a gem.

I had an unfortunate experience with Yonder Luxury Mountain Rentals. Before booking any listing…read morewith them, please review the Yelp reviews so you are fully informed on their unethical behavior and complete disregard for guest safety and customer satisfaction. The purpose of this detailed review is to prevent other guests from making a reservation on a Yonder listing based on the description only to find that the description is not accurate. The listing is described as follows: "Peaceful and tucked in the woods-yet minutes to I-40 for easy day trips" "This home is located in a peaceful, private mountain community" It also states it is a "relaxing setting" The main issue: Even though it takes about 10 minutes to get to the listing from the highway (which involves steep/gravel roads), there is constant, very loud noise from the highway that can be heard on the back porch (which has the view of the mountains), and in the entire residence if the windows are open. This was quite unexpected based on the listing description. After I had completed the booking request, Yonder sent a message to me with driving instructions and suggested printing out the instructions in case GPS failed to work on the way up. The written list of directions that were provided from Yonder made it appear the listing was "tucked into the woods". Yonder has continued to deny my refund request for 6 nights and has stated they will refund me for 2 nights due to them being booked by another guest. Yonder has admitted there is constant highway noise as evidenced by their edited listing description, yet they continue to tell me that their listing was accurately described at the time I booked the listing. I contacted Airbnb to discuss my concerns about the listing and they stated they couldn't do anything because of the house rules: 6. Cancellations/Changes. The cancellation policy listed on Airbnb at the time of booking will apply. Your booking ‒ and this Agreement ‒ pertains solely to this specific Property. If a member of your party has particular needs ‒ such as allergies or a medical condition ‒ for which this Property is ill-suited, Yonder will attempt to answer and address those concerns (preferably ahead of booking the Property), but such particular needs do not serve as a basis to seek a refund in the event you elect to vacate the property. In addition, and except as provided in paragraph 25, if you are disappointed with the Property upon arrival due to such things as location, décor, road or driveway condition, or ambient noise beyond our control, your disappointment does not serve as grounds for moving to another property or seeking a refund of your vacation rental fees ‒ even if you decide to vacate the Property prior to your scheduled Check-out. 38. Accuracy of Listing. Yonder makes every effort to provide accurate information about the Property including, but not limited to, the information presented on the given website, and the information presented on this Property is believed to be both accurate and timely. That said, the accuracy of that information is not guaranteed and Yonder may not be held responsible, nor any refunds given, for unintentional misrepresentations, or incidental changes the owner of the Property may make to such things as the décor, bedding and furnishings. Nor shall Yonder be liable for unintentional errors, omissions, or changes in the advertisement of bedrooms and occupancy. It appears that Yonder purposely omitted the detail about the highway noise and included a false description of the rental (that it was peaceful and tucked away in the woods in a relaxing setting) due to what is written under the above house rules. I am very disappointed with the dishonest listing description and how Yonder Mountain Rentals has continued to decline my refund request. I wanted any future guest to be aware of the above issues so they can read the rules and reviews of this company before proceeding a reservation. Most importantly, I wanted future guests to be aware of how loud it is there. I have stayed at several Air BNB listings that advertised close proximity to the highway for convenience and it was not close enough where constant noise was heard. Due to the advertised setting and description of the listing, there was no way to have known about this noise prior to my arrival. There is constant, loud road noise 24/7 because of the close proximity to a major interstate.
