The place is very cute inside, staff is attentive & friendly & our food was delicious. I had the Pollo Felipe, grilled chicken breast topped with shrimp, cheese sauce & vegetables with rice on the side. A friend recommended it & she ordered it two nights in a row! My other friend got the Enchiladas Suizas--she said the pork on top was fall apart tender & delicious. Great margaritas! We went traditional, on the rocks with salt. Can't wait to go back-one person said it was the best Mexican good she'd ever hard& another said 'let's go here every dinner next time we come back for retreat'! Thank you, Don Felipe's!!!

They served chips with amazing salsa which was authentic. However, the chips tasted like they were fried in a reused oil because the second chip left a bitter aftertaste! I asked the waitress who I must say, was pleasant and very attentive, what oil they used and it wasn't palm oil, she kept saying it was vegetable oil. So perhaps palm oil? it's cheap and leaves a bitter taste! The burrito was good and a sizable portion, but it too had the stale taste. I ordered the fried ice cream desert, which I thought would be fried ice cream. It was a scoop of ice cream with a cinnamon-sugar dump and in the tortilla bowl that again tasted foul. For 8 bucks you'd think it'd be authentic glad I said I did not want the chocolate sauce or whipped cream. I wish management read this review and do something about the food quality. This is an honest review and not meant to criticize, but highlight the fact that where food is involved restaurants must provide a degree of quality, especially if they claim to be authentic. Y'all make it authentic! It's easy.

This was the single greatest meal my taste buds have ever been blessed to touch. The Burrito was big, and I ate it all, 13 minutes. Aka, the greatest 13 minutes in human history. Leo was my server, and the service was quick, great, and very nice. The place our party was sat at was great, loved the pictures. The beef is finely chopped, which I like, though it could use a bit more seasoning. The shell lands between medium and hard, with just enough give for a slight chew. Portions are generous and prices are not the cheapest in the area. $60 + tip or two to get three tackles with rice and beans a pop chips and rice and a side of stew beef. The stew beef was incredibly tender, with small chunks of potato. The gravy leaned more toward a thin broth and could have used a little more salt, but the flavor was still comforting. Seating is limited, so expect a short wait during busy times, and the parking lot can be tricky to navigate. Still, it's worth it. Service is always fast and friendly, clearly built for a big lunch crowd. You can see the kitchen staff cooking, which adds a welcoming, family-style feel. There's also a bar area where you can wait for a to-go order. It may be a little off the beaten path, but whenever I'm on that side of town, it's always a stop for me.

Our server had a heavy Spanish accent and offered all the specials with a smile. His charm just added to the authenticity of this stunning eatery. We assured him we couldn't eat another bite. Oh yeah? You're getting chips and salsa anyways! I did sneak a few. They were good. I asked about virgin margaritas, because I'm not trying to go to jail while borrowing dad's car during my Michigan visit. I was going to order peach, but our server said strawberry was the best. It was lovely. Why only 4 stars? The menu was a bit, well, it needed to be cleaned. It had a residue. That's never fun. My margarita had fresh strawberries and the guys got a smokey margarita and the traditional one. We had great conversation and it was a lot of fun. I recommend!
