We went to the Broadway location around 7:25pm however it was closed. We were heading to somewhere else we came across this location so we stopped in. We parked on the side street, there was a guy outside spinning a sign with a few specials he greeted us and we walked in. We ordered the 2 whole chicken special, it was $27.99 there is a .75 charge for debit. We got two whole chicken two containers or beans, 2 containers of rice and flour tortillas. They gave us containers for salsa and a bag to put it in, we waited about 5 minutes and our food was ready. Both my husband and I were happy with the food the pinto beans looked bland but it actually had some flavor, the chicken was nice and well done but not dry. The rice was good as well I think it's a great value for a family meal I will be back. They provided a menu so we can call in the order next time. read more

I requested potato salad instead of what comes in the 2 chicken special once already paid, realized they use a boxed potato salad as a cook was refilling the container with more from a name brand container. Surprisingly it was not as bad as all those other store bought ones but I would much prefer being served with a freshly made one like the rest of their sides. I placed an order thru UBER EATS: 1 whole chicken, 3 pieces of chorizo, hand made tortillas, pico de gallo and i paid for a 12oz side of beans. Upon opening my bag I immediately noticed the beans were missing. I called the restaurant right away before even touching the food. The guy who answered the phone took zero accountability! He checked with his staff and "la señora" who packed my order alleged she placed everything in the bag. Evidently not! I never raised my voice or used profanity, in fact I stayed calm and collected. Was I annoyed/frustrated, yes. All I wanted was to hear some accountability and ownership of the mistake. Instead, he then reiterates that his staff packed the order correctly and that perhaps the UBER Driver went into my bag and took the side of beans! The audacity! Lol I gave this place a try for the first time but they failed. Never again ordering from here EVER. The person that answered the phone needs to learn customer service as he expressed his stance rudely and in a combative demeanor. That's never okay. Very disappointed. Do bettet! read more

I've never had a problem with the chickens. It's always been very juicy and delicious. Their food is amazing from the chicken to the chorizo to the rice and beans. This is not a fast food restaurant you don't go here for the bigger chain style chicken like pollo loco. And don't expect the same prices either. It's expected to fluctuate with market prices. Your not going to get the specials that they had 2 years ago. Please remember this is Compton you will not find five-star service in Compton. They will be ghetto and a little rude. I mean it's kinda expected. I've done catering from them once and will again in the future. The only time I did it everyone raved about the food. They couldn't get enough of it!! Super easy to make an order online and pick up, they're very quick too! Their food is amazing, the chicken just gives off this tasty aroma, had to take a piece while I drove back home. Tres pollos is really good chicken all there side orders are also good I never have anything else on there menu, the only down fall is that there has been a couple of times that I have order chicken taken it home but it had this funky smell, like old chicken. Also I had another incident where the chicken was not cooked well there was blood off the bones on all of my chicken I took it back and the lady informed me that the chicken was cooked instead of refunding my money apologizing or having me get another chicken she asks me if I would like them to recook my chicken I asked if I had another choice and she said no I didn't feel like that was appropriate, any who I do love coming to this place it's grilled and healthy I am going to say better flavor than el pollo loco, and they have some pretty good salsas I would of gave them 5 stars but I did have those two incidents. read more

They also make home made tortillas which are addicting and a must with every bite of what ever you are eating. They have an open salsa bar with some of the best salsa I've tasted. If you don't like chicken, the menu expands to longanisa and steak. I did not try the steak, but its next on my list. I did how ever try the longanisa a.k.a chorizo... that chorizo is delicious! It doesn't have a lot of fat and spices that always result in heart burn... All i have to say is that I totally recommend this place to anyone.
